Better Than Christmas

I just put my two little darlings to bed and Brad is fast asleep on the bed next to me. Apparently taking care of the kids was rough on him this week, because he is as sick as a dog right now. I can't tell you how excited I am to be home for the weekend. I missed my family SO MUCH this week!!! I can't even explain how happy I was when everyone welcomed me home. Grayden gave me like 20 kisses when I picked him up and Karleigh kept on giving me hugs. I LOVE MY KIDS!!! Poor Brad is really sick now, but it was SO GREAT to see him too!!! I was going to take a picture of Grayden when I walked in the house, but I forgot...He had chocolate all over his face and clothes. You could definitely tell that daddy was in charge!!! I do have to admit that Karleigh looked pretty good considering dad got her ready. Her hair was in a ponytail with a flower clip that matched her shirt just perfectly! Way to go, Brad!! I am impressed. Coming home tonight really was better than Christmas!!!

I Miss My Family!!!

So So So much!!! I just got a job doing medical transcriptioning with IHC which is great! BUT the training is in SLC/Provo for about 3 weeks which means that I am only coming home on the weekends for the next 3 weeks. Once I am done with training I will be working from home again. So my kids are getting to experience daycare for the first time. I am sure they are having fun playing with new kids and new toys...but I hope they know how much their mom misses them!!! I have been talking to them on the phone, and it is pretty funny. Grayden was crying last night and as soon as I started talking to him on the phone, he stopped which made me super happy. And Karleigh just thinks I am playing with baby Makenzie (this part is true). Luckily Bryce and Ashley are letting me stay with them this week. Today, I don't have training so I get to watch Makenzie and go and see Katie and Savannah....YEAH!!!! I miss Brad too. I am sure he is having fun taking care of the kids every day. I can only imagine what Karleigh's hair must look like. Anyways...can't wait til Friday!!!! If you are reading this, Brad, give the kiddos a kiss for me. I love you guys.

My Little Guy

Grayden has become a bit of a jabber box in the last week or so. He is constantly telling us stories. He answers all of our questions and looks at us as if we should understand exactly what he is saying. He has also started to say a lot more real words...mama, dadda, milk, Shrek, poop, up, help, Abbie, hi, bye-bye, duck, fish, outside, snack, sick, ball, don't, truck, no no no (while pointing his finger and shaking his head), and that is all I can think of right now, but it seems like there are more. He also learned how to give high fives and bumps.

He is still full of loves and kisses, especially for his mama. He has officially got the title of a "mama's boy". This is a title that I love right now, but I hope that he drops the title as he gets older. I have always been super annoyed by mama's boys...But for now, I will take all of the hugs and kisses I can get. I am sure one day they won't be so easy to come by.

He has also learned to fight with his sister this week. He sneaks up behind her and pushes her. He also has learned to hit her. I guess she had it coming. She has been picking on him since the day he was born.

It is fun to watch him learn new things. I can't wait to understand the stories that he is telling us. He is almost 16 months. Where has the time gone?

Coloring is Fun!!!

Karleigh loves to color...So today we tried to get a little creative with it. I taped a big piece of paper to the ground and let her have at it. Only a little bit of crayon ended up on the tile floor. Grayden was her little helper.

Also, don't mind the fact that Karleigh has summer clothes on. She got a new summer outfit today and insisted that she wear it as soon as we walked in the door. I remember doing the same thing when I was little. I am so happy that I have a little girl who is such a girly girl and gets excited about new clothes, earings, cute hair, bows, shoes, and makeup. It is fun to be a girl!!!

7. Shera has her period. (This is oh so true)

8. Shera has a lot to be exited about. (I like to think so)

9. Shera has captured our hearts. (Haven't I though??)

10. Shera has been brainwashed and is serving Hordak. (Yikes, that can't be good)

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope everyone had a great day!!! I know we did. We had a fun family day and I got to go on a hot date with Brad tonight. I was feeling guilty once I put the kids to sleep because I didn't take any picture of them today...So I went in and took a picture of them trying to get to sleep. The kids had a fun day and got spoiled with all sorts of things...Thanks to their grandmas and grandpas!

Help Mom

The new favorite toy at our house is our elliptical. It absolutely drives me nut. Karleigh always gets on it and says she is stretching or exercising. Grayden gets stuck in it at least a few times a day. He is easily frustrated, as pictured below. Instead of helping him out, like a nice mom would do, I go for the camera, which made him even more frustrated!!! I am feeling a little guilty now that I am looking at the picture. He was pretty upset.Sorry Gray!!!

My Poor Headphones...

I tend to get a little frustrated while I am working... I guess throwing my headphones this morning was not the best way to deal with it...OoPs!
