Easter Sunday!

Sundays are hard for me. Jared's gone at meetings from 6 until church starts, and getting myself ready by 8:30 is hard enough! So getting all four of us ready is torture. I rarely have a Sunday where we are on time and happy. Easter Sunday went fairly well though. The kids were happy with their baskets, and didn't complain when I told them they'd have to wait until after church to find their eggs. They all looked cute, (can't say the same about me), and we were all in good moods. My kitchen table was even clean. It was a good day.

Happy Easter!

We had a fun, no stress Easter. Well, I guess it wasn't completely stress-free. Jared and I spent over 2 hours looking for shoes for Maddie to wear. We found three pairs for Kate, and finally had to settle on some white sandals for Maddie. She likes them, so I guess we did o.k.! Colin complained that his shirt was too big. He doesn't quite understand my concept of buying big so it will last longer.

The kids had fun decorating eggs. Kate of course is in her usual white onesie, can't have any stains!

Her own little homework!

Whenever Colin and Maddie are doing their homework, Kate wants something to do also. She's really into copying anything they do. So, to keep her busy while I help Colin and Maddie, I give her crayons. She colors and repeats over and over "ircle", which in Kate language means circle. She's really into drawing circles. She knows nothing of triangles, squares, or other shapes, just "ircles".

New toy?

I heard Kate carrying something out to the kitchen. I could tell she was struggling, but also knew she was busy, and as I was trying to get some laundry done, I thought I'd let her busy herself with it for a little while longer. When I came out of the laundry room, I saw this. Who knew a little tp had so many uses!

Happy Birthday to you!

More Pictures from our recent Birthdays! Kate is often in a plain onesie when she's about to eat anything. I hate spray and washing as much as I am hating laundry. Actually I think that's why I'm not liking laundry lately. I'm too OCD about getting every stain out, and doing laundry takes twice as long!

Kate Turned Two!

My little baby is now officially a toddler! She's getting bigger both in size and attitude. She loves doing everything that Colin and Maddie do, but she still wants her ba-ba. We'll have to work on that in the next few weeks. Happy Birthday Kate! Sadly, this picture was taken a few days after her birthday when her lazy parents finally made her a cake!

Happy Birthday Maddie!

Maddie is now six. She's one year older, and sadly I'm feeling about 5 years older! My kids are growing too quickly, and I don't feel like I've taken the time to really enjoy each moment! She got a new bike, and two High School Musical Dolls, Gabriella and Sharpay. I have to say, Kate likes the dolls as much as Maddie. Maddie also received a lot of money for a six year old! Thanks to Grandmas, Grandpas, Uncle Reid, and Grandma Case!
