Anyways, I'm heading down the mountain with my Aunt Kimmy and cousin Kylie...when all of a sudden I started going really fast! I panicked when I couldn't turn...so I just sat down to stop myself. Now...keep in mind...I'm used to snowboarding. When you snowboard and think you are going to fall you just sit down on your butt. I learned the hard way that you don't do that with skis on. I ended up flat on my back, feet stuck underneath me....sliding down the hill. I wasn't even stopping! I was laughing and screaming for my Aunt to help me. If you could have seen me it was HILARIOUS!! I couldn't even get my feet out of the skis..they had to come undo me. Anyways, I decided to sit down on the side for a minute and check for any damages. At first I thought I was okay..but when I tried to stand up I heard a "SNAP" in my knee. That was it...my Aunt flew down the mountain to ask for someone to come help me. Now, I just thought that they would bring a snowmobile up to grab me and bring me down. But I was HORRIBLY wrong! They had to put me on a gurney covered in blankets and a bright blue tarp! Then they skied me down the mountain for everyone to see! I have never been so MORTIFIED! They took me down to see the resort Dr. who did X-rays and all that fun stuff. He even had to pop my knee back into place while Mike held me down on the table. Turns out I ripped my meniscus. Ouch! That was it for me....no more skiing....I ended up spending the day in the lodge watching the rest of my family enjoy themselves. Oh well...I think it was totally worth it. I can't wait to go back and ski some more!

Skiing
Well, yesterday Mike and I went skiing with my Aunt and Uncle. I was so excited! I have tried snowboarding and wasn't very good at it. I thought that maybe I would do better skiing. Everything started out great. I got off the lift without falling..(YAY)..and started my way down the mountain. Luckily I had great teachers and they helped me catch on to skiing pretty quick.
Christmas!
We had such a good Christmas this year! We started it out by going to my sister's house on Christmas Eve. We just love going over there. As soon as we get there Hunter runs off to play with his cousins. It was nice to be able to visit with my parents and Uncle Brad.
Christmas morning was a blast! My Aunt Kimmy and her family were staying with us for the holidays...So they got up bright and early with us to open presents. Hunter got SO many presents!! He was definitely spoiled by family and friends this year.
And to top everything off... I made a big turkey dinner for everyone! Well, my aunt and uncle did most of it...I'm not much of a cook. :)
Afterwards we celebrated Holly's 30 birthday. Yup...She was born on Christmas. She isn't much of a fan of cake...so I made her brownies instead! Enjoy the pictures!

Big Boy Bed
Yup....my baby is no longer a baby! Yesterday he figured out how to climb out of his crib. So, we decided it was best to turn it into a little toddler bed. He thinks he is pretty cool! Last night went pretty well. He only got out of bed twice. And slept in until 10:30am!! I still can't believe that my little guy is old enough to be out of a crib!
Temple Square
So, I finally decided that it was time to bundle up and head to Temple Square to enjoy the lights. I had been putting this off because of a memory I had there two years ago. Janet, A close friend of my family, (basically like a 2nd mom) came up with my mom and dad to attend my nephew's funeral. We ended up going to Temple Square to walk around and enjoy the lights. This was the last time I saw her. When she headed home to California the next day she decided to stop in NV for the night. And in her sleep she joined our Heavenly Father. Anyways, needless to say we were devastated. So, the thought of going back to Temple Square made my stomach turn. But I decided that Hunter would really enjoy it and I just needed to get past my anxiety.
We ended up going and having a wonderful time. It was sad at first....but Hunter's smiles and giggles made it all worth it.

Just Like Mommy!
Hunter did the cutest thing today! I found him cleaning the house! He would just walk around and spray Windex on anything and wipe it off. His favorite thing to clean was the glass table. He must have spent about 20 min on it! He really takes after his mom!
This video doesn't have sound...but it's still funny!

Halloween!
Well, tonight we took Hunter trick-or-treating. He was dressed as Spiderman! He was so cute! Even though it was raining most of the time, I think he had fun. He was amazed that all he had to do was walk up to these doors and people would give him candy. He just kept saying, "Wow!"
We didn't stay out for very long but he still had an Elmo bucket full of candy! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

The Joys of Being a Mother...
Okay...this blog is going to be kinda gross...but I have to tell the story....
I like to think that I'm a good mom for Hunter. But today was REALLY difficult. Hunter woke up with the stomach flu! My poor little baby! He started off the day by throwing up ALL over my kitchen floor. Then he decided that he was feeling much better and wanted to eat breakfast.
So, after waiting awhile I let him have a couple crackers and some milk. I watched him VERY closely for about and hour or so. He was doing fine! So, I just figured that maybe it was a fluke thing and he didn't have the flu.
So, my parents and I decided to head to South Jordan to run a few errands. Hunter was doing fine until we pulled into the first parking lot. He threw up EVERYWHERE!! My dad quickly pulled over and I hopped out of the car. By the time I ran over to Hunter's door he was done. I was covered, he was covered, and his car seat was covered in throw up. I looked at my mom and said, "What do I do now?!" She just laughed and said. "We clean up and head home". Easy for her to say.....she was dry!
So, with my parents help....I cleaned up Hunter and the car. But his car seat was SO bad! So, we decided to leave it in the trunk. Hunter sat on my lap the whole way home. I was so scared!! I hated that he couldn't be buckled in his car seat. But my dad said a prayer before we left the parking lot. So, I knew that we would be okay.
We finally made it home....but Hunter is still feeling pretty yucky. Mike came home and was finally able to put him to sleep. My poor little man....hopefully this is only a 24 hour thing!
Today I was really tested in the motherhood department. I stuck by my little man even though I wanted to run in the other direction!
Thanks Mom....for all the times you took care of me and cleaned up my throw up....I had no idea how hard that was. I Love You Mom!!!
National Guard
So, some of you don't know my brother-in-law. His name is Ron. (we call him Chip)
He's been living in Utah with us for almost a year now. Hunter LOVES having his Uncle Chippy around to play with! But yesterday Ron made a HUGE life decision. He joined the National Guard. My dad and I went to the base to see him sworn in. He leaves for boot camp and training Jan. 4th, and will be gone for 6 months! And by the end of next year he will be heading to Iraq. What are we going to do without him?! Mike and I are so proud of him! But our little family is really going to miss him.

He literally swore his life away!!! You gotta admit...He's got guts!!!
Baby Scottie
Today my mom and dad flew in from Southern Cali. We were so excited to have them visit again! We decided that we would go to Orem to visit my nephews grave. It's been awhile since we have been there. So, Holly and her two girls, my parents, and Hunter and I went and decorated his little headstone for Halloween. Scottie would have been two. He's the same age as my little Hunter. We miss him so much...but we know that he is happy in Heaven. Here are some pictures from the cemetary.
The kids eventually let go of the balloons so that Baby Scottie can play with them in Heaven. (How cute huh?!)
PaPa Craig playing in the leaves with Mikayla, Hunter, and little Aubrey! What an AWESOME grandpa!
Baby Scottie's headstone. Hopefully you can see his little picture in the corner. He was such a cute boy.

Hunter's 2nd Birthday!
My little baby is no longer a baby! I can't believe that he's already 2! Where did the time go?
Anyways, we took Hunter to Jungle Jim's for his birthday. The Mounts met us there and we let the kids go wild. Afterward we headed over to our house for cake and presents. Hunter had so much fun! He's such a sweet little boy! Enjoy the pics!

My Mom is the BEST!!!!
So....I don't even know where to start!
Well, my mom came up last Sunday to help me take care of the house and Hunter while I was recovering from surgery. She was AMAZING!!! She did everything. Laundry, dishes, diaper changing, dusting, and cleaning. She was also my personal nurse and assistant. When the Dr. forgot to give me my antibiotic....she was on the phone and had it taken care of. She would bring me a handful of pills every 4-6 hours and tell me swallow. Half the time I didn't even know what I was taking. But I was sure my mom did! Now all this stuff is fine and dandy...but what I'm about to tell you is even more amazing and wonderful.......
On Wed. morning we decided to pack Hunter in the car and go to Holly's house. But before we left my mom wanted to start a stew in the crock pot for dinner. While she was cutting and chopping she asked me if she could put carrot peelings down the disposal. I told her "sure".
So, naturally she did. About 20 minutes later we reali zed that the sink was full of water and not draining....hmmmm....maybe the blade isn't turning. So, my mom sticks her hand down there (ewww) and feels around. Nope.....it's working fine. We decide to head to Holly's house and hope that the problem will fix itself.
Well, when we got home the problem was still there. So what does my wonderful mom do? She gets under the sink and starts to take things apart. I couldn't believe it. She knew what she was doing...she even knew the correct vocab for the piping and stuff. We laughed so hard. Water was everywhere!! But when she pulled out the second pipe...what fell out???? CARROTS!!! Hahahaha!!!!
Overall, my mom spent about 2 hours fixing and cleaning up my kitchen. I'm sorry ladies.....but I have the BEST MOM IN THE WORLD!!!
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP MOM!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!

California Trip
Well, Hunter and I just recently got back from California. We went to visit PaPa Craig and Grandma Cori. It was amazing!!! We went to the beach, Disneyland, and my favorite...In N Out!! PaPa Craig bought Hunter his first In N Out choc. shake. Hunter wouldn't put it down! He drank the whole thing!! Hunter really enjoyed the beach. He ran right in and didn't want to hold my hand. I guess he's a big boy now! I hope we get to go back sometime soon. It was really nice to see some old friends and visit with my parents. Here are some pics from the beach and Disneyland....Bye Bye

Together For Eternity
On June 17, 2008 our family was sealed in the SLC Temple!! It was AMAZING!
We had so much family there to support us. My parents came up from Cali, Holly and Kale Mount, G+G Child, Grandma Dolly, and many friends from our ward. Mike and I are thrilled to married and sealed to our sweet little boy Hunter. I want to say thanks to my sister Holly and my parents. They have been such a good source of support for me. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
California Vacation
Well, we are back from our 3 week vacation in California. It was WONDERFUL! Hunter had so much fun spending time with his PaPa Craig and Grandma Cori. We spent the first week in Paso Robles, CA. Mike's Grandparents and brother live there. We then travelled to Chino to spend time with the Child Fam. We went to Sea World, the beach, and many different parks. Hunter's favorite part was playing with PaPa's dog...Gir. He was outside constantly with him. It was adorable. Hopefully we will be able to go back and visit soon!!!
