Piano Recitle

Jentry did her last piano recital with her teacher that she had been taking piano lessons with for a few years now. It was a great recital and she did SO GOOD! I totally have to hold my breath the whole time she is playing. I am so much more nervous then her.
This time it was duets. She did hers with her BFF's little sister. They did such a great job!!!

A Letter From Ty

One night I was just crawling into bed when Ty ran into my room and said, "Why didn't you read my letter I left you at your door?" I told him that I didn't know he had left me a letter. So he ran into the hall and grabbed his letter he had written. He has been writing his ABC's on paper for awhile but nothing that ever made sense. Usually when the kids write me letters that don't make much sense Ill read them out loud and make up my own words to them. They love it. So I was doing this with this letter. I said "Dear Mom, you are the best mom ever! I love you so much. Love Ty" Then I noticed that he had written "MOM" and I looked a little closer at the letter. Sure enough, he had tried to write basically the same thing. Look closely.

Der Mom, Yor D Bet Mom Edhr (Then I don't know what the rest of it says)

I thought it was so so cute! I love being the best mom EDHR!

Fieldtrip

I love going on field trips with the kids!! I dont get to help out in the classroom a whole lot so its fun to go on field trips with them! This year I went with Brinley to the Red Barn in Santaquin. She loved it! We got to learn about apples and what kinds of things they make with them. I even bought a gallon of apple cider...it was so good!! They got to go on a hayride and go pick their own apple as we walked through the apple orchard. Then they got to play in a fun maze. It was a great day for a field trip! And I love having that one on one time with her!!

Brinlee and Brinley (you have to be besties when you have the same name, right?)

This ones for you Jentry...

Jentry is very upset that I havent updated my blog in over a month. So this one is for her! Im so very proud of my girls and their grades!! Jentry got strait A's and Brinley got E (Excellent) and VG's (very good) They are doing awesome and loving school!!! Brinley still struggles with wanting to do her homework and most nights are a fight but we are getting through it.

Thanks girls for working so hard in school! I think Dad needs to take you all for ice cream. (ok really he just wants to take himself for icecream but I think he'll get you one too)

Heimer-Who?

Scott and Jentry were able to meet their favorite author, at Costco. They had been looking forward to it for WEEKS and were sure there would be a huge line up and they better get their early because for sure there was going to be a line out the door.

I told them there wasnt going to be..

Guess who was right...

They got to meet him and get a picture with him so that made their day.

Who is Heimerdinger you ask...I knew you wouldnt know. ;-) Chris Heimerdinger

Ty goes huntin' with Dad

Scott was able to get on some private property to scope out some deer for the bow hunt. (Un??) Fortunately there were no deer to be seen. But since it was so close to home Ty got to go hunting with his dad. He was so excited when I told him that he would be able to!! Doesn't he look so cute in his WAY TOO BIG hunting clothes?!

Ty picked this up and of course Scott had to take a picture before he told him what it was...SIIIIIIIIIIICK!

Luckily Ty only came home with some turkey feathers. No deer... DANG......

First day of School

I cant believe my Jentry is in 7th grade. JR HIGH!!! I was JUST in Jr High. Ok...so not JUST...but it feels like it. I had to sneak pictures out the window while she was getting on the bus. I didn't want to embarrass her TOO MUCH. Even though the whole summer I threatened to spend the first day of school with her. And can you believe she didn't want me to? I couldn't believe it myself.

Brinley is in the THIRD grade this year. I remember third grade so well. I had Mrs Wilkinson...and she was NOT my favorite. Brinley was nervous because this year she has a male teacher. She was scared he was going to be mean. But luckily she LOVES him!!

After school they came home to a big cookie. Jentrys is a 7 and Brinleys is a 3. Just in case you cant tell. I never said I was a baker.

Carnival...

While Fiesta Days were in town we thought we would take advantage of Dollar Days at the Carnival. The kids had an absolutely GREAT time there. Ty even said it was the best day of his life..until I reminded him that we just recently went to Disneyland...

Our first ride was my absolute favorite. I love love love the tilt o'whirl. I went on with Ty he laughed the whole time. (Chase was in Fish Lake with my parents)

The kids then went on the swings

We went on some other rides...the gravaton, some swirly ride and then Jentry went on the hammer. The girl has no fear. She was the only one that would do it.

Mandy and I then went to look at all of the booths while the girls went on one last ride of their choice. Jentry tricked Brinley into getting on the Hammer again. She told her that it didnt go upside down... When Brinley got off she came and told us that she thought FOR SURE that it went upside down but Jentry had told her it didn't.

Shame on you Jentry!

Dionsaur Museum

Every Tuesday in August Thanksgiving Point
had $2 Tuesdays. So of course we HAD to take advantage of this. The boys had been wanting to go to the Dinosaur Museum for a long time but I have been too cheap to fork out the $50 it would have cost us to go.

When we got there the line was wrapped around the building. Obviously we aren't the only ones that love a good deal. We started having second thoughts if we wanted to go or not. But we decided to stay. Luckily the line moved quick and it is a pretty big place so there were only a few places where I felt crowded. The kids loved it!! I was so glad we ended up staying! We had a great time!!!

Jentrys getting braces!!!

She is so excited about this.

But first she had to get an RPE which is an appliance that widens the top of her mouth. We had to crank it two times a day for about three weeks. Wow...she had some AWESOME teeth going on. We had a good time making fun of her. Cause thats how we are. Our favoirte was Spongebob Square Pants.

We were able to stop cranking it and now her teeth are slowly making their way back together. Like they are supposed to! She will get her braces October 4th.

He loves his watermelon

If Chase could just eat fruit the rest of his life...he would be ONE HAPPY BOY!

Fish Lake

We used to go to Fish Lake every year when I was a child. But I haven't been back for a long time. I have very fond memories of that place. I loved being able go to the Lodge, go to church there (you could even just wear your camping clothes)take rides in my grandpas dune buggy (until it burned in a fire), ride our bikes, play at the little play set they had at the next camp ground, go fishing in grandpas boat, take walks by the lake and play with my cousins!! I loved going there!
My parents went up for a week or so and took Chase with them since the other kids had swimming lessons. We went up that weekend.

This is going to be a total PICTURE OVERLOAD POST...but I think there are just so many good ones that I cant choose.

The boys loved chopping wood with their dad

Another memory I have is of going to Fish Lake with my Great (and I use that word in more ways then one) Aunt Wanda. She would always point out the Indian Paintbrush Flowers. It was good to see those again.

Before he left for home we stopped off at the old Lodge. Boy its just as I remember it...

We let the kids play on a few rocks but that quickly ended when Ty started screaming that something had stung him. Poor boy stepped in stinging neddle.

Farewell Fishlake...we will be back...
