My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, and don’t be upset when he corrects you. For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights. (Proverbs 3:11, 12 NLT)

Friendship - Day 4

It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you—unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place.

Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”

Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all.

But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

(1 Corinthians 15:2, 33, 34, 57, 58 NLT)

Friendship - Day 3

You must not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you are called to testify in a dispute, do not be swayed by the crowd to twist justice.

(Exodus 23:2 NLT)

-> Tell the truth and testify according to the truth. We shouldn't just do what others tell us knowing that it may be wrong.

Friends should help one another in times as such and be supportive. We shouldn't be the ones telling our friend to do wrong but the one to help them to avoid that wrong doing. It's so easy to fall into the temptations of the world through peer pressure. That's why we should turn our eyes to the Lord and keep them fixed on Him that He will deliver us from these temptations. He will bring us out of them if He brought us to them. For He is already where we are going to go. He will walk along side us if we just ask Him and not deny Him.

Our Lord is a God who listens to everyone and ministers to them. He longs for a personal relationship with us. He isn't a God who is seen as terrifying, who sits on the throne waiting to throw down bolts of lightning on us if we do wrong. He is a God of grace and mercy. A God of love for He is love. And He displayed it when He sent His only and most precious Son, Jesus to die for us on the cross. That we may have eternal life if we believe in our hearts that He died for us and that God has raised Him from the dead.

Friendship - Day 2

Anger is cruel, and wrath is like a flood, but jealousy is even more dangerous.

Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy.

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.

As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the real person.

Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, but a person is tested by being praised.

(Proverbs 27:4, 6, 17, 19, 21 NLT)

Friendship - Day 1

Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends.
-> when we forgive, we love more but if we dwell on the fault, it separates us from one another.

We are close friends in our point of view and yes we must learn to forgive you and not dwell on the "fault". We care for you and that's why we worry but after reading this, I understand that i should respect you if you wish not to tell us:) so don't worry, we won't pry but we want you to know that if you ever need help, we are always here. Forgiveness helps us to love and it is also the beginning of #acceptance.

Starting a quarrel is like opening a floodgate, so stop before a dispute breaks out.

A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.

We want you to know that we are here for you. If you need time, we will wait. But we hope that you will open up to us one day. It's something you have to learn on your own. But love is patience and we will try our best to be patient.

Anyone who loves to quarrel loves sin; anyone who trusts in high walls invites disaster.

We hope you will knock down that high wall between us and you. We want to know you better and really understand you. Please don't resist our friendship and care for you. But if you must, know that we will wait.

(Proverbs 17:9, 14, 17, 19 NLT)

This is a little strange to put up but..
Lord I pray that you will open her heart to us and to You Lord. That we can befriend her and care for her. Lord, we pray that You continue to work so greatly in her heart. Help her to understand that she needs close friends in her life. I pray that Lord she will accept us and that Lord You will deliver her from her troubles. See her through this period of struggles Lord. Pray all these in Jesus' most precious name, Amen!

Paper 1 - FROM (yesterday)
Paper 2 - F&B Operations (today)
Paper 3 - Econs (tmr)
Paper 4 - Law (day after tmr)

Dear Lord, just want to pray for today's paper. Lord, from today, the next two papers are going to to be a challenge for me. Pray that Lord You will see and guide me through these papers. Lord give me wisdom that I may be able to manage the paper and just pray Lord that You will allow me to recall all that I've learnt in class and that I studied. Lord I just also want to remember Angela, Shannen, Zhi Yong, Sheralyn and Tony as well. Pray that Lord You will give us the strength and diligence to study and prepare for our tests. Thank You for Your love and guidance. Pray all these in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Sunday, December 2, 2012

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that You will be in control of my life. Thank You Lord for the people You've brought into my life thus far. Thank You for their love and acceptance.

Lord, tonight I just want to pray for Shannen, Angela, Zhi Yong, Sheralyn, Tony and myself who will be having our tests starting tomorrow. Lord I pray that You will just take control of the whole thing and Lord I pray for Your wisdom as we do the papers. Father You've promised that Jesus WILL bring us out of trouble or through it. So Lord I just want to ask that You see us through this period of tests and allow us to do our best for Your glory.

Lord, right now I also want to thank You for a dear sister, Shannen. Lord, thank You for using her to bring us to church. Father, she is going through a tough time now that she wishes only to inform You of but Lord, I pray that You will use us and those around her to just encourage her and give her the love and acceptance she requires. Lord, be with her, be by her side and let her feel Your presence. Overwhelm her with Your love and mercy Lord, and keep her faith in You so strong that she will not waver even during this period of trials. Lord, comfort her heart and assure her of Your control over all things. See her through this time, Lord.

Father, thank You for all that You have given to us. Thank You that You sent Jesus to die for us. Thank You that You have forgiven us of all our sins. Thank You for the trials in our lives and thank You for listening to even the tiny prayers we pray.

Abba, Father, thank You mostly for Your great and awesome, crazy love. Your grace and Your acceptance! In Jesus' name I pray, Amen!

You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy. (John 16:24 NLT)

Will be opening prayer with Nic and Dave for Praise 3:16 today. Thank God for this verse, really encouraged me.

I shall pray and ask in Jesus name and God promises that I will receive and have abundant joy!:) Pray that God will teach me how to pray and that He be in control of everything today:)

Pray for a good service, for His presence in the church today, for the band that they will truly worship from their hearts and have joy in serving the Lord in this ministry. Pray for the sound team who've worked hard behind the scene (John and Sundy), for His protection over brother Clement from the evil one as he preaches today. Pray also for those who are making their way to church that they will be safe and for Jan Jan who's unwell for her speedy recovery.

Eph 6:5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart, as you would Christ,
Eph 6:6 not by the way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,
Eph 6:7 rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man,
Eph 6:8 knowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.

-> whoever you're working for, aim for the best for them (your boss), with your heart. Serve him and be an asset to him. Serve him as you serve God. And know that God will see you through.
-> just as Daniel 5-6 portrays Daniel as an old man in his 80s still genuinely serving the king, Darius, and aiming for the best for him.
-> When Daniel was thrown into the lions' den, Darius was remorseful as he knew Daniel had done no wrong but he was of little faith and did not expect God would have been able to deliver Daniel from that situation. But Daniel was a man of prayer, a man of faith. He knew and trusted that God was with him all the time. He had not done any wrong in God's eyes and neither had he wronged king Darius. And thus God delivered Daniel from the lions' den.
-> since Daniel had done good to his boss, he was also rewarded by God.

We can learn that by serving our bosses from our heart, aiming for the best for him and being an asset to him, God will reward us accordingly. God is great and good! <3

Great service today!:) Felt God's presence throughout the worship. Truly thank hod for His presence and His unfailing love for us! Indeed our God is able, He will never fail, He is almighty!

Today's sermon taught me that even in times of crisis, God is with us and will see us through it. Ask in audacious faith and pray unstoppably!

Recognise the opportunity:
-> God presents significant opportunities in crisis moments.
-> Audacious faith means trusting that that God is always doing more than we can see.
(Because sometimes we get to see the miracle, and sometimes we get to be the miracle)
-> Times of crisis show God's strength.

Praying unstoppably:
-> An unstoppable force.
-> Shows God's ability and our audacity.
(Stop praying timid prayers) - go beyond those kinds of prayers!

How?
By aligning our dreams with God's desires!
We can do this by reading the bible to see what God's desires are and continue to just Seize God's vision, Activate our faith and Make it count!:)

Praise the Lord for using Norman to preach on the past two Sundays - Sun Stand Still (Audacious Faith). Thank You God for using everyone in special ways to serve You!

Challenge for the week:
God hunt - photograph things that seem unstoppable!:)
Happy Birthday Li Dan! :D

Hope you'll have a blessed time today! Thanks for being a cool Softball Captain and a really good friend since Sec 1 in Softball! :) All the best for results day and I'm sure you've done well! :)

Thank God for good friends who help you through tough times and vice versa!

Geylang Methodist's Whackers won't be the same without God! Didn't understand the jersey back then but now, finally get why the jersey wrote: "Whackers, To God be the glory". Indeed God is glorified and whether we win or lose, may glory be to Him.
Great session with Rei, Mimi, Cat and Angela yesterday! Had fun and learnt 2 things in a go. (or as Rei would call it --- Kill 2 birds with 1 stone)

Yesterday's session was on bible reading and devotions. We learnt to read and pick out the things that we should. Or the questions that we've picked up from the passage as well. It was also a session on BGR in the bible context and applied in reality as well. Was good to be able to learn and know the principles of a relationship. Not just boy-girl but friendships as well. That's something everyone would need to learn:) It's better than someone just telling you what to do or what shouldn't you do. It's life's principles and to us, God's principles that leads us to how we live our lives.

We often think that teenage relationships are the "sweetest" maybe because we are all happy and merry, having nothing to worry about when we are studying. (only exams and tests) But when we finish our studies and step into the working force, that's when we realise that life isn't a smooth walk, it isn't that simple. In the same way, taking the step of faith to believe and trust in Jesus, no one said that it would be a bed of roses. However, they did say that Jesus WILL bring us out of trouble or through it!:) That's why we don't have to worry as He has commanded us, but we just have to trust that He will never leave nor forsake us, especially in times of need.

So, yesterday we learnt a number of principles reading Genesis 24. It's a long chapter but it tells the story of Isaac and Rebekah. We looked further into verses 3-4, 6-8,12-14, 16, 18-20, 21, 23,54-58 and 63. Those were the chapters with the principles picked out.

The points to take away were basically:

  • Learn to ask 'what', 'why' and 'how' when reading the bible.
  • Know God and hence, your purpose in life.
  • Life is not a bed of roses.
  • When you cling onto God during storms in your life, He will see you through your life.
(We can also take a look at Proverbs 3:5-6)

Well, that's my point of view but it may not be yours, so feel free to express your views if you'd like to! (either in the comments or chat box maybe?)

Anyway, have a blessed Sunday! :)

Always knew that I'm not suited to wear dresses and tonight I just proved myself right!

To be honest, I like how girls can put on any dress and look great in them when I can't. But I guess that's how God made me to be. He wants us to understand that not everyone has great fashion sense or the perfect body because we are not yet in our glorified bodies. And only when we are able to see how we imperfect we are that we will truly appreciate the glorified bodies that we will receive (which is perfect) when we are in heaven!

'Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder' people say, I think that we are all beautiful in God's eyes for He accepts each and every one of us with open arms as long as we are willing to take the step of faith to believe and put our trust in Him.

Encouragement:
Hope all of us will not despise the way we look or the way we are because no matter what our condition, He accepts us and loves us the same. Nothing will make Him love us more or less. He is the creator of all the things of the earth and He makes us how we are for a reason!

Hahaha! Guess what! My senior told me she has the same set of handwritten mind map for Contract Law - Duress, Undue Influence and Mistakes.

Not sure if Mr Chan was the one who wrote it but still thankful to have those notes!:)

Thank God for teachers and lecturers! It's because of people like them that we can learn and improve! Books is one way but when we have teachers to share personal experiences, it's a whole different feel and also easier to related to!:)

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

Really thankful for a really great lecturer! The topic he teaches is really dry but really appreciate his concern for our class to do well for Law. We don't really know how we can do notes for Law but he actually wrote and compiled all that he's taught us in this 6 weeks into a set of notes for us! Really thank God for everything he's done for us and just want to appreciate him for being an awesome lecturer! Pray that the Lord will just bless him!

Just realised that the teachers that I respect a lot are both Mr Chan and Mr Chan! :P The other exceptions are Ms/Mdm Cheng and Ms Koh! <3

The uncomfortable feeling of being around a person yet the person feels as though they meet you so often.. Can't they see that rejection is just so clear? Is it that difficult to tell or are they just so oblivious to their surroundings? The emotions are so clear. It basically reads out if not shouts out the word "UNCOMFORTABLE!" Really, is it so hard to see that?

Feel really blessed by today's message. Norman was preaching today. I was troubled by some stuff in softball recently. Did think of quitting and if I had made the right choice to go back into it since I stopped in Sec 4. Anyway, the message helped me out greatly! Thank God and praise God. I felt blessed hearing Him through Norman. I can't quite quote exactly what Norman said but here's what I remembered: God doesn't want to remove us from what we are doing, He's not asking us to stop what we are doing and try something new. He's asking us to continue in what we are doing now and change the way we look at the thing we are doing. Something along the line of not moving away from what we are doing but continue in it because we have started it and that we already have a passion in the sense. Really thought about it and still thinking.

Truly want to thank God for speaking to me today and the past few days too! :) He's truly great and wonderful in all ways! So big and greater than all creation! He's the one worth living for.

Cat sent us a link today. 'Prayer as a way of walking in love'. A personal journey by Francis Chan.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqfpbeV54t8

Listened to the whole sermon. Truly amazed and totally "wow-ed" by the prayer life of Francis Chan. He said something that really got me thinking. It was something about every one of us being the of the same nature. I cannot remember his exact words though.

Thought about it. Since we are all of the same nature, why do we put prophets of the old testament on a much higher level than us? We can talk to the same God and that same God listens to all of us, each and every one of us. So we should be amazed, not with the prophets but with God alone.

Children walk out of Sunday school going "WOW! My God is so amazing! He can do this! or He can do that!" We are older and we lack the childlike faith that we used to have when we were younger. That's the kind of faith and awe we should still have (regardless of age) though. Simply being amazed with God Himself is enough. Distractions or desires for earthly rewards when they are of no eternal value leads us away from the path we ought to walk.

Truly amazed of how God listens to even the smallest, most insignificant and silly prayers or sometimes even things that we don't even pray but we just utter. God listens to every one of them and He answers them. "Yes", "No" or "Wait".

Every breath we breathe is from Him and we should all thank Him because He gave us life.

Met up with the girls today at Singapore Post Centre! Late lunch at UmiSushi and went to The Coffee Bean to chill and catch up with each other! :D Miss them so much! Meet up soon! :)

Monday, November 12, 2012

The first song that touched me when I was in Sec 1 is 'So you would come'. Really heartwarming to know just how much God loves each and every one of us. Before time, before everything, we were already so loved by Him. And nothing we can do would make Him love us more nor disregard us because He is love and His love is unfailing and unconditional. No words can explain how deep this love is. That He is willing to give His beloved son to die for us and cleanse us of our sins, past, present and future. God is a gracious and loving God. That's what I've learnt since that first tugging in my heart. That the great and almighty God would care for someone as small and insignificant as you and me. It's truly beautiful and mind blowing to me.

So you would come:

Before the world began
You were on His mind
And every tear you cry
Is precious in His eyes
Because of His great love
He gave His only Son
Everything was done
So you would come

Nothing you can do
Could make Him love you more
And nothing that you've done
Could make Him close the door
Because of His great love
He gave His only Son
Everything was done
So you would come

Come to the Father
Though your gift is small
Broken hearts, broken lives
He will take them all
The power of the Word
The power of His blood
Everything was done
So you would come

We had our Front Office practical role play (practice) today at Hotel SPlendour @ SP! The simulated hotel room looks great!!

Had dinner with Cat just now too! Thanks Cat for the dinner!

Monday, October 29, 2012

Bored in class.. So this is what happens:

Friday, October 26, 2012

Had dinner at Rei & Mimi's place just now with Angela, Shannen, Zhi Yong (aka Kenneth), Cat & Chris. Had fun "suan-ing" each other especially after Zhi Yong "regained his energy" to talk and joke around! :) Rei & Mimi's place is really cool, and not to mention really neat and tidy!

Reminded me of the time Angela, Shannen, Zhi Yong and I went for a Seoul Garden meal (Angela's treat!) Ate a lot and had a good time catching up with one another! Really fun day. Thank God for Angela, Shannen, Zhi Yong, Cat, Chris, Rei & Mimi!

Saturday, October 20, 2012

School's started and the first week has gone by so quickly. Studying Front Office Management, F&B Operations, Econs, Communication Skills, Law, and GenEd 2 this Semester.

Tomorrow's gonna be quite busy and I have to rush. Training in the morning, the long awaited Church service in the afternoon and then dinner at my aunt's place.

Monday, October 1, 2012

Also just want to thank God that Zhi Yong was able to come for yesterday's (30/9/12) church service! (And is keen to know more) Let's keep him in prayer. Pray for God to continue to work in his heart so that he will feel that tugging in his heart and take the step of faith to believe in Jesus.

"For God so loved the world that he have his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
Thank God for bringing Shannen, Angela and I to GLCC and now to 3:16 Church. It's been such a blessed holiday spending time with the Lord and growing along side the 3:16 family.

The recent 3:16 family outing (29/9/12) was really good and fun! Thank God for the great weather that day and thank God for the organisers.

Back from the cruise for a week now. Had a lot of fun on board:) Here's a photo of Angela and I on Gala Dinner Night in 'The Lido'.

Started training on Monday. Today's the second training I attended. Training is fun cause I really learn a lot of new things now. Things that I didn't know when in Secondary school softball for 4 years. Haha!:x Feel like going back to GM to train with the juniors on Friday though. Pay a visit to Ms Cheng and Ms Koh too:) Miss Secondary school life, minus studies:P

Wednesday, September 5, 2012

Suddenly started to like FT Island's 'Severely' a lot. Hong Ki's voice fits the MV perfectly. :D

Learning several verses from the bible to share the gospel as well. Not very productive though:x A lot more to go and I'm already at my max quota for the day. Lol.

Also, the school's cruise trip for our course is coming up soon. To be exact, this Sunday. Haven't started packing at all. Wonder if I can pack in time. Still got to go to work on Friday and Saturday. But will miss church on Sunday:(

Tuesday, August 28, 2012

Started work again today:) Haven't gone back to for so long that I was rather nervous! Not many customers today so it wasn't so bad.

There was a slight problem though.. One of the customers said she was drinking her Coke Light when she came across a small piece of chipped glass in her cup. I mean she said it was in her mouth. (Thank God she didn't swallow it!) Her friend called me to tell me about it.. Didn't know what to do or how to handle but the only thing I could do then was to apologize and I did.. Many times.. She asked me to tell the boss too.. Apologized and told her that we will look into it. (+ gave them complementary mini cakes to apologize) The customer said "That's not what I want." I didn't know what to do at that moment so I was praying in my heart. Thank God she her friend was really nice to come over to the elder staff at the counter to tell her and to return the cake. At least she explained nicely.. :'( The lady had a really fierce look too..

So we checked all the glasses for any chipped parts and we didn't find any. Checked the ice and there wasn't any either. So it was concluded that the tiny glass piece must have come from the drink can.

Reflecting on the incident, I really Thank God that I was able to stay calm and apologize nicely eve when she said that's not what she wanted when we brought her the cake.. Thank God she didn't swallow it. And Thank God nothing too serious happened except that incident.

Exams are over for this semester! Hopefully I'll be able to get a 'B' grade at least. Haha. Especially for POM. It was terrible, I didn't do a part within one of the questions cause I totally forgot the points. But thank God it's not those 10 mark questions.

Thank God for the manageable paper today and that I was able to meet up with LeeYin. Learnt more about quiet time and got to know her background a little more. Thank God!

Learnt to put into words what quiet time is today. Simply put, quiet time is usually preferred to be done in the mornings. The basis of quiet time = 3 'T's. Time. Two-way relationship. And most importantly, TRUST. We must learn to trust before we are willing to take out time to improve the relationship and make it a two-way thing, not just question and answer. Starting with a guidance prayer, followed by some time to read God's word and then responding to God's word in a closing prayer.

"Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete." - John 16:24.

After our last John studies session, this is one of the 3 verses that had an impression on me. We discussed about this verse during that session. To ask in Jesus' name according to God's will for us. That's a summary of roughly what we came up with.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6.

Trust God and depend on him and his understanding, not our own. Whatever we do, seek and acknowledge him. He will then guide us through both good and tough times.

Wednesday, August 15, 2012

Thank God for today! Indeed God always answers our prayers in His own perfect timing. However, if He says 'no' to somethings, He has His reasons for it. So we should all stay calm, no matter how upset we may be over certain things that didn't turn out well for us sometimes.. Know that God said 'no' because He may have other plans for you. Just be patient and in time, you will see what are the things He has in mind for you.

1st: Thank God that softball training will be at Kallang now due to renovations that will be done to the school field. Answered Prayer! <3

2nd: Today's paper -- IT Applications. Not too bad I guess, went rather well, managed to complete the whole thing on time. Should be able to fair quite alright if the 'queries' part is not wrong and the part 1 (written) is ok. Thank God again for the answered prayer! <3 <3

3rd: I didn't check my school email system for quite sometime and when I did, I realized that I was really 1 of the 20 students who weren't selected for the F1 Paddock at Hilton Hotel. :'( Really upset about it. Was rather psyched to go for it at first cause I made it into the top 80 but they cut down the number to 60.. Even though I did sign up quite early, I didn't manage to get into the 1 of the 60 slots. Angela did though. :) Happy for her. :) Oh well! :) Guess God has other plans for me. But then again maybe He was reminding me that I didn't turn to Him in prayer for this matter.. Either way, I'm not selected. But from now, at least I know that whatever I do, or whatever the decision that I make that I should always turn to God first. <3 <3 <3

A poem I found some time ago and that now speaks to me:

The Difference

I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish, I didn't have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me and grew heavier with each task;
Why doesn't God help me, I wondered; He answered, "You didn't ask."

I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn't show me - He said, "But you didn't seek."
I tried to come into God's presence; I used all my keys at the lock;
God gently and lovingly chided, "My child, you didn't knock."

I woke up early this morning and paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.

Wow, been so busy with General Education presentation recently that even when I use the computer I barely have time to do anything except researching and doing the powerpoint and presentation outline. It's been really fun with the group and how they've worked together with me through this period of time in term 2! Gonna miss them. Having my tests this week and exams next week. This today was Structure & Fabric which just ended.. Totally not gonna do well this time.. :'( Gotta work hard for the rest of the papers.. Recently I keep listening to SNSD's 'Mr. Taxi', 'Twinkle' and 'Gee'. No idea why but I really love these 3 songs. 'Mr. Taxi' has such a cool dance and 'Twinkle' sounds awesome!

Thursday, May 24, 2012

Have you ever thought of putting yourself in my shoes and seeing how I really go all out and try my hardest to get good grades for this group? Have you ever seen the amount of effort I've put in to do all the work that you will only see the hard copy after I've compiled and done all the editing? Have you ever thought of helping me by summarizing the information that you've researched on and really organise them so that I can see and understand easily like the rest do? Is it really so hard to just really do your part for the group project? I can't imagine how I will survive with you in the group if you don't buck up. It's already tough on me in my 6th week in Poly. I can't imagine 3 years in the same group.. Please.. Put in some effort in your work. I mean at least help me. You are lucky that you have time to study and don't have to sleep as late as I do all the time just compiling and finishing up all that you've missed out. And it's not like I didn't tell you what to do you know.. I literally typed everything I needed you to find and facebook messaged you everything. Yet there is still a number of items you didn't look for. If it was your individual work, okay, fine, I get it. But this is a group project and you are getting marks for what I've done? That's really not fair is it? You may not know but I gave you due respect 'cause you are a year older than I am. But guess what, I lost most of that respect for you in 6 weeks my friend. But still, I am hanging on to the little spark of hope that soon you will open your eyes and see that you need to change your thinking and grow up more.. Hope you will change and understand me.. Thanks..

There was Gen Ed CA1 yesterday. The passage was quite confusing an it made finding the evidences, appeals, strengths and weaknesses quite difficult. Other than that I think the paper was in a way quite manageable.

POM tutorial today along with BS1 tutorial. Got back the tutorials and lab session worksheets for BS1. Not very pleased with the results though.. Sad.. :(

Yu Yue told me this yesterday:

Like a bus ride, when the destination is the same place, people walk together. When you are going somewhere else, you'll be walking with newer people you meet. The essence is to remember all the beautiful things left for you, and when we grow up, we'll laugh at why we cry now.

It's true.. and it applies to everyone:) I thought it applied to me too so now I have it as my 'Blog Description'. I miss Secondary school. Everything is so different in Poly now. Not just the environment but also the people. My modules are rather dry and some difficult to understand. But like Hoong Hoong once said: "Everyone only looks at the results, no one will look at the effort you put in to achieve that result." Recently a junior also posted on fb about what coach said to us while we were in Sec 2.. He said: "This is a story about 4 people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry with that because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realised that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done." That is still and always will be so true. It is like that anywhere. Hope everything will turn out fine in Poly for everyone in time to come though..

Going to watch 'Shakespeare in the Park: Twelfth Night' on the 19th of May. Can't wait!

Will miss the movie date with Angela and Shannen tmr. They're watching 'Dark Shadows'. Hope they have fun and enjoy the movie:)

Have quite a number of projects due next week and just handed up 2 this week. Now I'm left with Gen Ed (Advertisement + Mock Test Worksheet), POM (Tutorial 3 - Decision Making), S&F (Assignment 1), IHLFM (Graded Assignment - PPT Presentation). Hopefully I can get them all done asap. :/

Hi:)

Supposed to be celebrating an early birthday today:) So I'm kinda at a chalet which my mum booked at Changi. I think this is the quietest birthday so far but I'm okay with it cause at least some of my closer friends are here. Some coming tomorrow and Sheryl was here yesterday and today:)

Honestly, it's true that I have new friends and it's true that I care about them but if you say that I don't care about my old friends then it's being really unfair to me. I do care and I will NEVER give up on them no matter how much they really don't wanna bother about me. I don't mean they don't care, I know that they do and I'm really happy:) The thing is, all of us live our separate lives and we do all wanna meet up once in a while but you can't always think that it's because we don't make an effort to that we seldom meet up. We all do but we don't have the time now. Things change slowly because we all chose different paths to go in our lives. It's not that we don't care and it's not that we don't treasure this friendship. We do. So don't think too much on your side.

Hello:)

I'm super into K-Pop now. I know some people feel that it is annoying and repetitive but it's really good music!:) Personal opinion of course:)

Haven't been posting much since after O's (which is weird) but it's cause I've been watching some Taiwanese and Korean dramas:) All the older shows that I've always wanted to watch but didn't have the time to before. Now I'm just working in a Cafe --> Tuckshop Cafe. The environment is great, AWESOME:) I really love it there. Being a waiter is tiring but fun:) I've learnt quite a lot so far and hoping to learn even more:) Coffee making is really fun! Preparing the espresso shots and frothing the milk:) I have to be faster though:) Mandy fighting! Janson fighting! Shannen's coming in tomorrow too:) so here's for her --> Shannen fighting!:)

Got posted to Singapore Poly and doing Hotel and Leisure Facilities Management. There's softball in SP but I'm not sure if I should join it.. I miss playing softball, miss pitching, miss batting, miss fielding, miss throwing, miss Coach Michael.. I miss our team. But I'm sure Whackers will always be Whackers!:) Our juniors will bring back the glory!:)

To Phoebe:
Hey girl, I hope you're doing great in U.S.:) We all really miss you. Tell us when you're coming back to visit alright?:)

To Shannen:
Tomorrow is your first day working at the Cafe, so take it slow:) We'll all help you out:) Shannen (Lee Ji-eun) fighting!:D

To Angela:
If you waited a little longer you could be working at the Cafe tomorrow too but it's okay! The bakery seems to really suit you too;) Anyway, don't give up though it's really tiring okay?:) Angela (Choi Minho) fighting!:D
