A new chapter
This year will begin a new chapter in my life. All of my kids will be in school this year. I will have a few daycare kids to keep me busy for the first few months. It will be so different for me. I have been a stay at home mom, taking care of kids for the past 13 1/2 years. I'm kind of looking forward to trying something new but I am also sad that my kids are growing up so fast. I haven't blogged a lot lately because I used Facebook a lot but its getting old so I'm back to blogging ( I hope :) ) I love looking back on my old posts and ready our stories.

2k
Jake and I ran our first 2K together. We started running together in the spring . We signed up to do a 5k color run in Minneapolis but weren't able to go due to my illness. I felt so bad that I had broken my promise to him. We talked about it and we decided a 2k would be just fine. I was very glad to be running with my sunglasses on. I had tears steaming down my face the entire run. Jake was willing to run along side of me (he is way faster than I am) but I made him go ahead and run for himself. Through out my illness, he has picked up so much slack and his helped me out so much. Every day we would run together. I would run through the pain and he would always ask if we should stop or slow down. Never once has he complained when we have had to cancel things or when I ask him for help. Again, he is an amazing young man and I am very proud to call him my son.
Baseball
Cody and some of his friends decided to join a baseball league in a near by town. I was so happy with the new league. Our boys learned so much and had so much fun. The team went undefeated during the regular season. They played a few tournaments throughout the summer also.
Football 2012
Cody was in his second year on the Y league football team. Last year he played a defensive end or corner back. This year they put him in as a center...Big scary Cody as our center :) He had so much fun and loved to call the huddles. Their team went undefeated this year. The sixth grade team was short players this year so Cody was able to play on both the 5th and 6th grade teams.
Jake took football for the first time this year. He has never been interested in sports but this summer decided he was going to try football. I knew he would either hate it or love it, there would be no in between for him. He ended up loving it!!! He had an amazing coach (which also happened to his teacher when he was in 5th grade). He worked so hard and ended up doing much better than I ever imagined. He is staying in shape for football this winter by taking wrestling and track. This kid never ceases to amaze me :) He is number 74.
time to play catch up
I have a lot to catch up on . I have been neglecting my blog and doing quick facebook updates. I just went back and read my old blog post. I loved reading them :) My life is so hectic and I sometimes forget about the little things. I wasn't where to start, I decided to just go through my pictures and randomly catch up.

JUNE
Four generations :) Celebrated my 25th birthday (again)
The Code-man is growing but still has a long way to go to catch up with his mama.
The "healthy" dragon cake the Grandma Jeri and the kids made for me.
My sweet sweet Bella....
I was looking out of our window on a super hot day and saw a baby duck running across my lawn. My grandpa and I went out and caught it and found a temporary home for it. It was so adorable but I knew we had to take it to a shelter somewhere. We attempted to raise two baby ducks a few years ago and they both died. We found a wildlife refuge center to take this new little duckie to the next day. Unfortunately it died the morning after we dropped it off there :( :(
