Our friends that also happen to be our neighbors have three boys that are similar ages as my girls. Their oldest and Sydney are in the same kindergarten class and are really good friends. Macey and their second son are like an old married couple. The can't live with each other and they can't live without each other. Lately they have talked a lot about getting married when they are a "mommy" and "daddy". These are just a couple of conversations that I have over heard recently.
Macey: Sydney, Clark said that he was going to marry me when I get to be a mommy! (very excited)
Sydney: That's nice Macey, Drew said that when we get older he is going to date me, but he's going to marry Savannah.
Drew: Macey, you need to learn to share.
Clark: Yeah Macey, you need to learn to share.
Drew: Especially if you are going to marry Clark someday, you have to share everything.
Macey and Clark were in a little spat the other day. Nothing new but now they throw in comments like; "I'm not going to marry you" or "I don't want to marry you anymore" or "You're not going to be my wife/husband anymore". It really is quite funny to watch these little spats.

"I'm good at it"
Another Macey story.
Our neighbor rides his bike to work most of the time. The other day he was getting ready to leave and Macey was out riding her bike too. She stopped and asked him why he had a helmet on. He told her that it was for protection if he were to fall, or get hit etc. etc. She looked up at him and said "I don't have to wear a helmet when I ride my bike cuz I'm good at it." Poor thing, she just doesn't realize that she doesn't have to wear one because of bad parenting. I wonder what she would do if I started making her wear one? I know that I need to, I just always forget to get one when I am at the store.

Daddy cheats! A funny Macey story
When Macey had her surgery to remove her mole, they gave her a sippy cup of apple juice. She now has to have that sippy cup in bed with her every night. A couple of nights ago Macey woke up around 2:30 am and needed a drink. She couldn't find her sippy cup and started with the hysterics. She kept saying daddy said he put it in my bed etc. I looked for the sippy cup and couldn't find it either. I finally got her calmed down and back in bed. She spent the next morning looking for her cup and when she found it, she stomped into the kitchen with it in hand and said
"Daddy cheated! He said he put my doctor's cup (thats what she calls it) in my bed. He didn't, he put it in the bathroom. He cheated!"

Catchin' up- June
I didn't think that I should let yet another month go by before a post. June was a fun month for us. We celebrated Macey's birthday, went camping to Fish Lake, had swimming lessons and had a couple of fun friend b-day parties.
I wasn't talented enough to take pictures and run her party so this is all that I have.
This hippity hop was probably Macey's favorite gift that she received.
Thank you Uncle Jeremy for helping us fish.
Hadley voicing her opinion at being strapped into the stroller. Sydney and Grandpa chillin' by the fire. It rained and it was freezing!! Grandpa was such a good sport to actually wear the hat that Sydney made for him. I think pink is a great color on him.
Macey making one of her many hats. These were Macey's first swimming lessons all by herself. We actually have taken a couple of sessions this summer and I am very pleased with the progress that the girls have made. In fact, I think that I am going to put them in a fall session too.
One of the girls little friends had a Star Wars party and they could come dressed as their favorite character. I didn't really want to go out and by them costumes (cheap I know) so I decided just to copy the hairstyle and then they wore the same color of clothing. Can you guess who they were?
This was Macey's idea. She wanted to be Chewy. Since then, we have called her chewy and so she has decided that she would rather be Princess Leia with Sydney. Funny girl!

You know it's been to long when....
you look at other blogs and you don't even show up on the list of blogs they view because you haven't had an update.
Where do I begin? It has been so long, that I don't know whether I should go back or just start with now. The problem with starting from now is that I don't really have anything exciting to post. Dilemmas... if only this were my only problem in life right?!!?
I think that I will just highlight a couple of things that have happened in the past few months. April is where my blogging world kind of took a back seat. Not only did not much happen, but about the only excitement in our lives were Dr's visits at least once a week. It all started with Macey and a cold/cough that ended in an ear infection then Hadley had double ear infections and an allergic reaction to the penicillin (pics following). Macey followed with yet another ear infection (or possibly the same one) and ended up leaving with 3 different meds including an inhaler since she now had pneumonia. It was baby's turn again with a scary episode of the croup and sharing sisters inhaler. Macey's cough never got better and we headed back in for yet another inhaler added to the already mounting number of meds that she was on. I think that after this last visit things started to clear up. In between many of these visits we also had well checks for all three girls. Sydney had her kindergarten check-up and was deemed healthy for school. She was only slightly nervous about the shots and only asked about a hundred times if this was "the lady" that was going to do it. Poor thing. Well, at least one of them is healthy enough for something!!! We seem to have gotten over the worst of it and for the time being everyone is healthy (Knocking on wood)!
On the positive side, Weston got a job working for Hoopes Vision in Sandy and no longer has to go to work at Standard Optical. He now enjoys work and is much happier with this change of employment.
Even when she is sick she is a happy baby.
May proved to be a much better month for us with a couple of fun things. Sydney turned FIVE and had her first friend party. She really wanted a dress-up party and try as I might, I could not convince her of anything else. This isn't such a bad thing except that everything I could find for a dress-up party was geared toward girls and half of the party guests would be boys. We decided that it was okay and had everyone come dressed up in their favorite costume. It really turned out fun and it was great to see all the different costumes. We played a couple of games and then the kids got to sink captain hooks ship and followed the clues to the hidden treasure. The water balloons used to sink the "ship"(a hula hoop taped to the wall of the house) were probably the hit of the party. Over all it was a hit, but I sure was tired after the 13 party guests left. Thank you to Weston and the moms that helped, I don't think it would have gone as smoothly without you.
This is our little Pebbles. She hates the grass so when you sit her in it, this is the way that she sits. Pretty funny to see. Think of the ab workout she is getting.
We were also able to spend a couple of days in Richfield with Weston's parents. The girls had a blast as always and on this trip they were even able to ride the horses. I think that this was Macey's first time. Grandpa Barney even taught them how to do the cowgirl wave. It is hard to see, but it's the best picture I had.

A Few of Our Favorite Things
These are some of the things that we have been up to recently. I still have a couple more but they will have to wait for another night. Sorry that there is so much all at once.
Sydney really wanted to try a dance class. We were able to find an inexpensive class offered through the city that would introduce the kids to all the types of dance. So far she has really enjoyed it or so I thought. The other day she informed me that she didn't want to go to her dance class, she wanted to take a real ballet class. I told her that the class she is in is a real ballet class. This was her response, " no mom, real ballet classes wear pinkish, I wear blackish". So there you have it, ballerinas can only wear pinkish. We actually had been to Wal-mart that morning and I bought her a pink skirt to go with her leotard so I pulled it out and the problem was solved. If only my problems could be so easily solved.

Rice Cereal
Our baby is getting so BIG. Hadley has wanted food for a long time. I have been holding out and then when I was ready to start, she was sick. So, last week we started solids. I thought that she was a natural. She hardly got any on her and she swallowed just fine. However since then, she has really struggled and the mess that they usually create on their first time has now been a daily thing. She still loves it, but she doesn't do quite as well at swallowing. She does thing funny thing with her tongue and pushes it all out. I haven't tried any other foods yet but I am hoping that we have a good eater with this one. So far she hasn't disappointed.

HADLEY TURNS 6 MTHS OLD
I took these pictures on the day that she turned 6 months old.
Usually she is a really happy, smiley baby but for some reason,
I could not really get her to smile. She is still the cutest thing ever.
We love Hadley, she is such a delight. Her face just lights up when she
smiles and it just warms your heart. There is nothing better on a crummy day
then walking into the room and having her little face break out in one of her smiles.

Macey is Potty Trained!!
YEAH!!! We are now done with Potty Training (until the next one). Macey has been going poop on the potty for a couple of months now, but for some reason she really struggled with peeing. I had kind of tried here and there, but finally we really got serious about this and made the sticker chart and got the treats and the prizes out so that she could see what she could get. I have to say that my experience with pt Macey has been a much better experience than with Sydney. I don't know if it was because she was a little bit older or maybe more ready, but she did really well. The first couple of days were rough with a lot of laundry (Would you expect anything less??), but once she realized that she could get a "potty caaandy" after every time, she caught on pretty quick. Doesn't she just have the cutest little bum in panties!!!

The first part of February we took Sydney and Macey to the circus. We were pretty high up, but the girls still seemed to enjoy it. During the intermission you could come down to the floor and ride the elephants, or have your picture taken with the bear or a number of other things for a small fee. I wasn't aware of this and so I didn't bring enough cash with me. But, we were able to get a couple of great shots with the elephants.

November/December update
And I am finally caught up....sort of.
We spent the first part of Nov. celebrating birthdays. My mom, my brother, my grandma, Weston's dad and his great aunt all have birthdays in November. The only one that I took any pictures at was Weston's great aunt. We all got together in Las Vegas to celebrate her 90th birthday. Happy Birthday Aunt Mavis!
were able to wash her hair and you can really get an idea of how big her incisions were.
Waiting to see if Santa really made it.
And they weren't disappointed. (This is not all for the girls. :) )
