"Love Never Fails"

This is the collection "Love Never Fails" from Blank Quilting.
I'm doing my very best to get things semi-wrapped up
before we go on vacation.
This pattern is simple and quick.  I made 2 quilts and will
finish them when we get back.

This is the 2nd quilt and because they have a
religious theme I'm not sure what to do with them.

Not Much Sewing

Progress Shot:  Country Fair
Haven't been doing much sewing because I'm not feeling
great.  It's either my tooth or my sinus - at this point it's hard
to tell.  Of course, we are leaving on the 17th for our cruise.
This is excellent quality flannel.  These pillowcases were made
for a a little guy who one day hopes to be a marine biologist.
He loves all things fish.
This is done for the moment.  I have extra fabric to add another
border or two at some point.  The center four stars are a
panel and the top and bottom 'v' blocks are leftovers
from the heart block quilt I made.

Think Summer

Six zinnia pillowcases are ready for a summer bed.

Taking a break from my Jaftex sewing projects I worked with
summer flower fabric.

This angel quilt is going to someone who kitty passed away.

I kept one of the bird table runner for myself.
The other two were gifted.

Seed Packet Quilt
I changed the border from what the pattern suggested
which I like better.  Everything you see in this post
was sent as a gift to someone in Washington state.
I'll let you know who that was when the box
is delivered next week.

"Full Steam Ahead"

Here are my projects using "Full Steam Ahead".
I really enjoyed working with this collection.
These will be quilted when we get back from our Smooth Jazz Cruise.
We are leaving in a few weeks but I've got two more
collections to get done and turn in before we go.

Simple hour glass block quilt.
The panel with a few different borders.
Made with leftover blocks I still have a few
more rows to add at some point.

Progress Report

All blocks are cut and in order for the seed packet quilt.
This is the top part of the quilt still on the design wall.
My goal is to get the rows sewn together by the weekend.
The bottom set of rows are sewn together.
I'm debating if I should add one block to rows.
This is the next collection up on the project list.
I made a little test house block as a sample to see if it
would work with the panel.  We'll see.
The "Full Steam Ahead" collection is considered Steampunk.
I wasn't sure if I liked this line but once I started
working out pattern ideas in my head - I liked it.
This first quilt was a simple hourglass block.
Since the hourglass quilt I made 4 additional tops
with this line.  Will get the final pics of all the quilt
tops this weekend so I can submit my final work pics.

Lucky Stars, Seed Packet & Birds

Derby ... impeding my progress yet again.

The fabric collection is called Lucky Stars and the
pattern used is Heartthrob.  This quilt is really big
and fits on my queen size bed.  Due to this large size it
will need to be professionally quilted at some point.
One block is about 20" without the borders.
I started cutting the fabric in the seed packet quilt.
The blocks are cut at 8" square.  This is the kit Scott sent me.
This quilt is going to Dara's [my nephews girlfriend]
to deliver to her boss who loves birds.  The fabric
didn't photograph that well and is prettier in person.
This quilt is another large one but not as large as the heart quilt.
I needed to insert a panel down the back to make it
wide enough to accommodate the front.

What's New & What's Done

What's new?  All these pre-cuts from Scott!
What's done?  All the labels added to the back of
these quilts for the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.
Looks like the Maryland camp will not open until
2026 so I'm going to send 150 pillowcases and
150 quilts to the Connecticut camp in the spring.
What else is done ... the Huggable & Loveable 14
collection of soft books and toys.  These are being
donated and sent to The Child's Haven.  This is the
group I send 80-100 Christmas stocking to every year.
Made the large chick stuffed toy into a 12" pillow.
Boy was this ever time consuming and a lot of work!
Books, stuffed toys, a play mat, a 12" pillow and 2
draw string bags nearly pushed me over the edge!
Let's Glow Crazy - glow in the dark fabric with
the blender fabric called Starlet in various colors.

I just started working with another collection last night
which I love.  Fed-X dropped off a big package
of fabric yesterday afternoon which had 3
new collections in it.  I'm going to be a
very very busy girl!

Huggable & Loveable Soft Books for Kids

It's amazing how time flies by!
I've been so busy catching up in my sewing room after being
sick for almost 2 weeks with a nasty cold that turned into
a sinus infection.  I did manage to re-watch some of
my favorite TV shows while flat on the sofa.
This is the newest collection called Huggable & Loveable
from Studio E Fabrics.  This is collection #14.
While easy and fun to make it did become a little
tedious making the entire collection of books and soft toys.
I still need to photograph the rest of the collection and quilt.
I took one larger book panel and made that into a reading quilt.
The second large book panel I will give to the guild for a
monthly give-a-way later in the year.
Finished Projects:   Let It Glow - Glow in the dark fabric.
I made 3 quilts with this line.

I have one more collection to work with and have my
schedule of fabric being shipping to me through April.

Scott sent me [and other Brand Ambassadors] a bunch
of pre-cuts plus he let us pick out 10 bolts of fabric
from Henry Glass & Studio E to use in our
projects throughout the year.  I love this guy!
