Archi What?

Well I know you are all jumping out of your seat because this sketch is like totally van Gogh, you know it, Van Gogh at 2 years old maybe. Well I said I wanted to be an Architect not a famous artist and that is why they have computer rendering for us less talented folk!

Anyways I had to laugh last night when my professor said OK draw this my jaw dropped and I was like NOW, I looked around and everyone was all serious pencil to paper( all artist in former lives I think!) I had know clue where to start I don't even doodle well. And no erasers are aloud what the heck you think he could teach us how to draw before he takes away the eraser.

OK so this is a picture of a house in Spain so if anyone is looking for a floor plan for a little adobe shack to build here in the states you can give out my #. Just kidding. I hope I look back and say wow I sucked instead of saying wow I still suck. Cross your fingers! Because Mik could
do better.

PS. I snuck out the earaser a few times, Not that it made a differance!

High Maintenance

Don't they look so cute?

So on Wednesday the girls and I went for a little pampering and got our hair done at the salon, by my friend Kara. I think she did a great job, Thanks Kara! I have always wanted to get the girls A bob they have just never had enough hair. It makes them look so grown up! They keep touching their hair like it is delicate, and frequently are looking in the mirror. That night they didn't want to get in the bath, "but our hair mom" normally when I say it's bath time they are in the tub before I am done with the word. Well they are growing up so fast, and now they are all ready for their second year of preschool.

After that I had to run to Roberts to get somethings for my Architecture Drawing Class, and they had a table all set up for card making the girls thought it was great, and can't wait to give out their thank you cards they made!

I almost forgot a few days ago I was working and Halli came to me around 8am and this is what i saw....

I know what the heck! That would be a comb hanging from hear hair as it is twisted and twirled in her hair. At that very moment I flashed back to the many time this happened to me and my mother saying "that is why I told not to touch my brushes",( it was always a brush in my case one of those old hard plastic round brushes).Anyways I tried to get it out every time I wasn't busy with work but no luck, she ran around all day with it flopping around in her hair. She was doing flips and everything it was so funny to watch it flip and hit her in the face it didn't seem to bother her. Well I got off at 3 and decided to attack the thing, it was a mess!
Here is the comb afterwords, it has been retired, and her hair still looked the same when the comb was out a big nest. I think she lost more hair during that then when she got it cut! Not really but it was a lot!Hence the Hair cut!

(may it rest in peace)

On to the 1st Grade

According to Mik there are bigger and better things then Kindergarten and that would be the 1st Grade, that's right the little man entered the 1st grade this week. He was so bummed to find out that none of his friend were in his class in fact the foursome were all split up not one in the same class how unfair is that! Well despite the gang being split up he is all smiles about the first grade!

I think he is going to like his teacher Mrs. Reeves' she seems like a lot of fun!

Jam anyone?

So it is that time of the year, hot stove, sticky floor's, counters cover with jars. Yup it is jam making time, maybe a little early but there is more to come.

My mom , Amy & I, all got together and made some strawberry Jam(Mmmm!) This was my second time and Amy's first. We had all the kids there to so we had to juggle things, I have to say we do a good job working as a team, especially after making about 120 pints of jam or so! Yeah I know we are crazy, it was actually a mistake, oh well it will be a tasty mistake. lets just say we won't need strawberry jam for awhile!

(And here is one of the helpers!)

Hangin out with Mema

This past week I don't think we were ever home unless we were sleeping or working. My mom doesn't work anymore and my dad and brad were on a 50 mile hike all week, and my mom hates to be alone, plus the kids would rather live there I think then with us. They slept over 2 nights and like I said were there everyday.
We helped her get all the toys organized for the grand kids, so we took a trip to IKEA, to get some bins. Gotta love IKEA. I am an organizational freak and I can always find solutions at IKEA.And of course we had to bribe the girls with treats since the play area was full and we were not able to drop them off there, Shockingly they actually behaved!
Josh and Mik
My moms family had there annual picnic up in little Cottonwood canyon, of course I was unable to go but Scott took my mom. The Kids had a blast with my cousins kids. Mik played with Josh who is the same age as him but like a foot taller, poor Mik he got the Farnworth gene(my dads Family) and not the Child gene (My mom's family). Although Mik is a natural in all sports he is so aggressive towards any sport he learns it is so fun to watch his talents grow.In fact I was mentioning to Scott as I was looking at the youth sports around that they have tennis for ages 4 and up(thinking maybe the girls would like that, so cute) and Mik heard and now wants to start Tennis, I don't even know the first thing about tennis, and he seems more like a football jock then a Tennis prep don't you think? Whatever I don't care if he wants to try every sport in the world I just love his eagerness to play!
Oh speaking of Mik playing sports He scored 4 goals this Saturday at his soccer game and lost 2 teeth while doing it. This kid only looses teeth if they are knocked out, I hope this doesn't become a trend once the permanent ones come in that will be pricey. Well the poor kid got kicked in the mouth by a soccer ball the ball hit him so hard it sent one of his teeth flying down his throat and he started choking Scott ran out to see if he was OK and Mik Say's my teeth the crowd cheered for him and he was ecstatic with a big toothy smile and a bloody mouth. his coach found his one t tooth in the grass so that rich tooth fairy needs to come back.( Any volunteers?) Sorry I have no pictures of the whole event I was at the girls game. now I feel like a true soccer mom, 2 games at the same time good things Scott's work is flexible and he could leave to be at Miks game. Well soon Mik will be saying all I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth.....(it is coming fast).
