Creative bloggers hop.

Hello crafty peeps!

I've been nominated by the lovely Laine Webb to take part in the Creative Bloggers Hop! I have to apologise for not having the exact questions written down, we are having major work done on our house at the moment and I've lost the paper with the questions on! Anyway, here goes...

1. What am I working on now?

At the moment my craft room is packed away in boxes as the room is being knocked through into the kitchen. Our old dining room will become our bigger craft/ study room, exciting! I'm missing getting inky already, but I'm thinking about ways to use the new and very beautiful stencils from Designs By Ryn, as I'm extremely lucky to be on Ryn's design team!

2. How do I differ from others in my genre?

I'm not really sure, I don't think I have a particular style, I just make what takes my fancy at the time!

3. Why do I do what I do?

I discovered rubber stamps about 18 years ago and I've been hooked ever since! There's so much lovely crafty stuff to buy now but back then there were only ink pads and embossing powder... I think stamping is a great way to enjoy being 'arty' even if you can't draw (which I definitely can't lol). I love colours and pretty things so this hobby is THE BEST! :D

4. How do I do what I do?

Some of my favourite projects have started off on a background of Dylusions inks, I make lots of backgrounds in different colours so I have a stock ready and waiting. I usually build up layers then with stencils, stamps and finally die-cuts. But on another day I may be in a Clean and Simple mood!

Now it's time for me to nominate two other ladies whose blogs I find inspirational, they will post their answers to the questions next Monday.

Zoe Russell is a lovely lady and one of the first crafty friends I made when I joined blog land! Her work is always colourful and Zoe comes up with fabulous and individual designs, take a look at her blog HERE!

Pauline Orr also has a fab blog, she makes some great multi-media projects and it's always a pleasure to pay her blog a visit, have a look HERE.

Well, thank you for visiting today and for finding out a bit about me. :) Big hugs! Xxxx

Designs By Ryn - Maidenhair Fern stencil

Hello bloggers!

Here I've used the NEW and very beautiful Maidenhair Fern stencil available now from www.designsbyryn.com.

I painted the background with Brusho paint, stamped the Crafty Individual's Duck stamp, removed the paint from the ducks with bleach and then stencilled on the fern with Distress Ink. I added a little definition to the fern leaves with a Prismacolor pencil.

Thank you for visiting and for leaving me such lovely comments! Xxxx

New branch stencil from Designs By Ryn!

Hello lovelies!

Ryn has started her own line of beautiful stencils, and here's my first play with her Flowing Branches stencil.

I've used Brusho paints to make the 'leaves', it's very easy and you can find a Brusho tutorial on YouTube that shows you just how to do it! The paints are in the form of tiny crystals which you can sprinkle onto your card and then spritz with water, great fun!

I hope you like it, the stencil made this piece really easy and it makes a beautiful trunk for trees. Pop over to www.designsbyryn.com and have a look at Ryn's fabulous stamps and stencils, you won't be disappointed! :-) Thank you for visiting, have a lovely day! Xxxx

New Lavinia Stamps Challenge!

Hello blog friends,

It's time for another Lavinia Stamps Challenge, and this month we would love to see you 'Add Glitter' to your Lavinia project!  You can join in the fun by clicking HERE.
As always, the prize is a whopping £40 to spend in the Lavinia Stamps online shop, how fantastic is that?!
Here's my DT make for the challenge....

I used one of Lavinia's beautiful Scenescape backgrounds to make this card, there are many beautiful designs to choose from and they do make such pretty cards!  I also used Autumn Fall Fairy, Vine Leaf and Wild Flower stamps on this card, all available on the website.
Don't forget, you don't need to have a blog to enter the draw, you can email your entry (details on the website).  You do need to make sure you USE LAVINIA STAMPS in you project though!!
Do go and have a look at the rest of the design teams' lovely samples too, some great inspiration to be had!
Thanks for visiting, big hugs! xxx
