Stampinback Poppies

Hello bloggers!

Phew, it's been so lovely and hot recently and today in Whitstable we have been celebrating the Oyster Festival!  People flocked to our little harbour town to try the oysters and to enjoy the amazing food on offer around the harbour.  What great weather for a festival!

I went into Canterbury with my husband this morning and bless him, he treated me to a large tin of Caran D'ache Neocolor II crayons..... fabulous!!  They are so vibrant and being water-colours too they are very versatile.  I decided to use them to colour these beautiful poppies from Stampinback, my pride and joy! ;)
The background stamps are from Inkylicious.

Here's a picture of the crowds enjoying the water's edge today at the Oyster Festival....

Just look at that beautiful sky!!  Oh I do love summer.....

Lacey hearts.

Hello bloggers!

Where has the sun gone?? Oh well, good weather for crafting!
I made this card using Flower Lace 1 from Designs by Ryn, and another of my favorite sentiment stamps from the Stampin' Up set!  I've added a little bling to the centre of the 'flower' and to each tiny heart.

Rhedd and Rosie's challenge time!

Hello my lovelies! :)

It's time for another Rhedd and Rosie's challenge... this time it's 'Anything goes'!!  Hurrah, always a good one to do!
Sandie is sponsoring this challenge with these gorgeous Vintage Note items from Papermania.... yum!

My DT make for this challenge is a bit special this time; my cousin Tansy recently had a beautiful baby boy, Finlay,  and this is the card I made and sent to her and her husband Dan......  Congratulations to them!!!

This gorgeous image is from A day for daisies, an amazing site I've recently found through blog-land, they do the most beautiful and unusual digi images and some stamps too!  I coloured the image with Copics and Promarkers.
I'm really pleased with the sentiment stamp.... it's from a discontinued Stampin' up set, but I managed to track a set down and a lovely lady sold it to me.... I love it!
I'm entering this in the Make it Monday challenge (even though it's not Monday lol!.)

Hope you are all having a great week so far, don't forget to enter your next project into Rhedd and Rosie's challenge!  Thank you for visiting and leaving me lovely comments, I really do appreciate them! Hugs xxxxx

Bright circles.

Wow, what a scorcher!!   Hope you've all been enjoying this wonderful weather.

Yesterday I was very lucky to go to a workshop run by my lovely teamie Eileen Godwin.  Eileen kept us very busy and we all made some super projects!  Have a look at Eileen's blog (link down the side of my blog) and you will see what we made.

I've been studying hard today, sitting out on the patio under a parasol.... until I decided it was time to treat myself to another little crafty session.  ;)

This bright little card was made with the Circles set from Designs by Ryn, and the 'hello' is a die from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Thank you for visiting, big hugs to you all! :) xxxx

Moths and leaves!

Yo ho bloggers!

I've been playing with dylusions spray inks again.... and I made this!

I started my background layers by stamping a Memory Box dictionary stamp on the right, then stenciled a few circles here and there.  I then stamped small and medium leaves from Designs by Ryn's 3 leaf set in blue and plum.  I stamped a flock of birds in the top left using a Lavinia Stamp, and then stenciled that corner by spritzing water through a TCW stencil.  The 'inspiration' word stamp is from The Artistic Stamper and I finally stamped the Luna moth and the raindrops from Designs by Ryn.   I didn't know where I was going with this project when I started, but I enjoyed it and quite like where it ended up!  I hope you like it too?

Time for another Rhedd and Rosie's challenge now!

Yo ho bloggers!

Here's my DT make for this fortnight's Rhedd and Rosie challenge.... 'Here comes summer'.
As my husband pointed out, we get lots of rain during our summers, so my tag has a few drips and drops too!

I wanted the flowers to look like sunshine, I made them with Tim Holtz tattered florals die and coloured them with distress inks.  The raindrops are from Designs by Ryn (if you follow my blog you will already know that quite a few times over lol!!)  In the background I've used the 'bubbles' stamp from Indigoblu.

There's a very nice prize from Rhedd and Rosies challenge this time, donated by Sandie......

Have fun entering the challenge!
I'm entering this on Make it Monday.
As always, thank you very much for stopping by and paying my blog a visit! I love reading you comments so a big hug if you have left me a comment. XOX  :)

Lavinia Stamps Challenge.... Use a die or punch.

Hello everyone!

As it's the first of July it's time for another Lavinia Stamps challenge..... and this time you can do anything you like, so long as you include something that you've cut out with a die or a punch.   My DT make for this challenge uses 3 little punched out butterflies.

Here's a list of the stamps I've used on this card.... all available from Lavinia Stamps.

Luna fairy
Wild grass
Lavender
Willow
Lily pads

I brayered the background with Adirondack inks, I think I used Sailboat blue and Denim.  And of course I've used plenty of Stickles glitter!
Hope you like it, and have fun making something pretty to enter the challenge HERE!
