Christmas joy!

I'm sure just like all of you out there - we had a very eventful couple of days around Christmastime.

we started by adding this to our collection of furniture in our home - and we love it! it's wonderful to have music in our home.

thank you to everyone who helped - i hope it wasn't a bad experience and no one had any backaches from the move.

Between all of the get-togethers with our families, we were able to celebrate Christmas for 3 days. We started by having an awesome dinner and white elephant gift exchange party at my sister's house. the clear white elephant gift winner of the night: the much-coveted food storage. go figure!

the next day we had brunch and exchanged gifts at the hubber's family's house. it is always so fun and delicious to go there - lots of gift exchanging and a scrumptious brunch menu: eggs benedict, quiche, yummy cinnamon rolls, juice and lots of full bellies. except this one.
"chips? can i have chips, mom?" sure - why not? more eggs benedict for your father to eat.

i've never seen someone so happy to get a pillow for Christmas as Jason was.

and Jakey (hopefully) loved his crocs i gave him. don't worry - they were camoflauge - just in case he needed to go into the woods with them.

Christmas morning we spent at home together.

the chubbers got a tricycle from Santa and a train set and monster slippers from mom and dad. don't worry - some assembly was required for his tricycle.

like father, like son.

who needs a seat?

choo-choo!

even the baby-who-has-yet-to-be-named got a gift from Grandma. he'll be just the right size next year to wear this.

yep - just going for a ride on my bike with my monster slippers.

I hope you all had a memorable Christmas and enjoyed being with friends and family.
Next up - the new year!!!

some stuff.

Dallin got baptized a few weeks ago. it was so fun to share that day with him and his family.
the chubbers and i missed the actual baptism part because he FREAKED out when he saw the water and ran out of the room screaming. :(
not sure what that was about.
cute Dally had big smiles all day.

we've had the sickies at our house the past few days. last night the chubbers was really cuddly and wanted to relax.....
...on the kitchen floor.

"what? am i in the way?"

these pics are to show you who LOVES cookies.

we often have cookie mouth at our house.
it's so great - he doesn't even know he gets it all over his face.
or the floor.

sure hope you're all ready for Christmas - and enjoying the season for the right reasons. :)

the most wonderful time of the year!

put on your coats and gloves - it's time for snow.
too bad we've only had one good storm so far. but don't worry - we're ready for when the snow does come.

our tree is up - but that's about it. we'll try to remedy that this weekend and turn our house into a Christmas wonderland. i know the hubbers is SO excited.

and what would Thanksgiving day be without a little lawn-mowering???

we hung Christmas lights on our house. and THANK GOODNESS the hubbers was safe and didn't fall off the roof.

"daddy - mabye you should come down from there"

"ladders, ladders....which ladder do i want to use?"

and it wouldn't be Christmastime without the Festival of Trees.....

...or our annual family gingerbread house making night!

i think more candy was eaten than used on the houses - but as the chubbers would say - yummies!

hard at work - good thing the hubbers has had all that extra practice on fixing up our house. :)

whitta has some roof problems - that quickly got fixed with a little newspaper stuffage

our finished house and tree.

and then you have to have each family take a picture with their gingerbread creations -

this is my favorite pic of the night - i LOVE granny-annie's facial expression in this - she is so excited to have jakey back amongst us!

and what would the holiday season be without sledding?!?!?
