Our Memorial Day weekend was great!
friday night i went out to dinner with my sister and mom. it was AWESOME! we sat and talked and laughed and had such a great time! i have the best family ever!
saturday isaac and i packed up and went to stay at the condo in midway for the weekend. that night we went on a bike ride over in the Dutch Hills area.
at one spot you could see clear to Deer Creek. it was so beautiful!
it had rained earlier in the day and we got to cross lots of little streams.
My action shots - sorry they are blurry. i did my best.....
isaac at the top of the hill
his descent
almost to the water.......
through the water.....
and at the end. see that smile on his face? yeah - he was a happy camper. and very muddy, too.
i was soaking wet, too. here you can see my scratched up knees from my crash the week before.
Yep - that is a big fat dent in the truck. i hit a pole in the parking garage at work. it wasn't a great week for me - i kept crashing.
now, this pic should explain itself but in case it doesn't - i fill you in. you see, one of the beds at the condo is very squeaky. so we slept on the other bed instead. well, the second night i thought - i don't want to sleep in that little bed again tonight. so we drug the mattresses out to the living room and had a movie fest. we both slept a lot better this night cause we had a bed to ourselves and could strech out all over the place.
the next morning we went over to deer creek to ride along the west shoreline. the heber creeper goes around the west side of the lake, too, and the train started a trip just as we were starting our ride.
a view of the lake
a view of the lake the other way
isaac on the trail. it was such a beautiful day!
hope your Memorial day was great, too. Thanks to all those who serve our country -

some of this n' that and a 6-month-a-versary
howdy folks! i'm posting today on the 6-month-a-versary since Isaac and i got married. yep - it's been 6 months since we tied the knot and made the BIG committment. it's been a great 6 months with lots of fun times and excitement. we should have done it sooner but don't regret a thing. it all worked out as it should.
this morning i surprised isaac at work with a visit from his sweet wifey and wished him a happy 6-month-a-versary. i have to go to school tonight so we'll probably celebrate more this weekend.if you'd like to re-live our moment from 6 months ago - click here to view our pictures from the blessed day.
Isaac - it's been a ride - thank you for choosing me. I *heart* you.
Now, it's been awhile since i've posted - for many reasons - but i'm going to play catch-up now. A few weeks ago we threw a baby shower for my cousin who is having twins in July.
here's a pic of lori from that day. she actually looks pregnant now - if she turns to the side. i am SO excited - she has less than 3 weeks until her due date. everytime she calls i hope it's THE call to tell us she's in labor. but Heavenly Father is teaching me patience yet again, so we'll just wait it out.
here's a pic from the baby shower. haley - the mom of the twins - is in the midddle on the couch. her sisters drove up from California and St. George to surprise her at the shower - it was AWESOME!
This last sunday we celebrated Luke's birthday at Niki & Jason's house.
here's a pic of Jakey. as you can see, Jake spends a lot of time on the golf course and that's why he has a sweet-A tan.
we tried to take a pic of both of us, but it didn't work so well. oh well. we had fun trying.
here's Luke reading our card. it was an awesome music-playing one. kids seem to love those.
Our present to luke - what could it be???
a yard of bubblegum!!!! hooray for sugar!
it kept all the other kiddos entertained.
Luke and his birthday cake.
On a side note - we have now taken up mountain biking. isaac couldn't wait to start this new hobby. zane was kind enough to help us figure out which bikes to get and we got all geared up for a great season of riding. unfortunately, isaac forgot that his wife has never done this before. Don't worry - second ride out with the new bikes i crashed and broke my bike. :( it'll be out of the shop just in time for the 3-day weekend. i'm sure there'll be more stories to come on that one..........

another weekend of festivities
this last weekend was great. but aren't the weekends always great?
on saturday i went to a neighborhood baby shower for lori and Peanut. it is always so great to see old friends and catch up on each other's lives.
Lori & Christine
lori & the ladies
lori and some more ladies
it was a rainy day (again) on saturday and that makes for perfect weather for a lacrosse game. after the shower i met isaac at Jake's lacrosse game.
Papa Earl and Uncle John were there, too.
one thing about Uncle John - there is NEVER a dull moment when he is around. i don't think i watched most of the game because i was laughing too hard from all of his jokes.
but brighton did win against alta - YAY!!!
then on sunday we celebrated Carter & Justin's birthday with a family party at brigette & justin's. p.s. - these pics were taken with my camera - which has been in a drawer for the past few months because isaac's works much better. but alas, they both ran out of batteries and i couldn't take any more pics for your enjoyment.
