yes, dear readers, this post is dedicated to my hubby-bubby.
in the past few days i have fallen in love with him more and more. we haven't had any big events or anything happen - it's just all the little stuff that keeps adding up and up.
i wish i could tell everyone i know about all of the fun things that happen when we hang out - but some things you wouldn't understand, and some things aren't appropriate to share because they are just between him and i. but man - he is one funny guy and i love him! i am SO glad we finally got married and get to be together forever. and i'm not meaning to sound cheesy about that - but seriously! by the time we go to work, drive home, cook dinner, do chores or whatever needs to be done - there's not much time for us to be together in a day. so i'm really coming to appreciate the times that he and i get to spend together.
and just to show you how much i love him - i'm sharing with all of you my *NEW* favorite picture of him. enjoy. but please - no crushing on my husband.

just call me martha....
sorry i haven't posted in a while. i've been waiting to get these pics taken so i could have some fun stuff to show.
first of all i want to say one thing to all of those who live in the state of Utah: IF YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE HERE - LEARN TO DRIVE IN THE SNOW YOU MORONS!
sorry. i am just fed up with people who are lame while driving in the snow. i passed a lady this morning that had rear-ended a school bus. seriously?
so. this last weekend isaac and i babysat brigette's kids overnight. it was fun to hang out with them. they are always good for a few laughs.
saturday we hauled coal for my mom. if you ever need a warm fire - that's where you should go.
then that night we went home and i FINALLY got a chance (and the desire) to sew curtains for our bare windows. we're lucky enough to have our bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs so people can't see in but there's a lot of sunlight in the morning. so now - we have curtains to block out some of the light. isaac went to the fabric store with me a couple of weeks ago and helped pick out the material. he did a FANTASIC job at picking some rockin' patterns.
this is in our spare bedroom. i really like this one
this is in our bathroom. just a cute little drape for the tiny window
this is in our kitchen. if you notice, those are chickens on there. awesome - i know. and in case you're wondering - the red strips are actually pieces of ribbon so i can tie up the curtain when i want to see out into the backyard.
i'd also like to call your attention to the black cord that is going across the top of the window. yes, that is a cable cord which my husband strung through the family room, through the kitchen, out the door, around the corner of the house, and who knows where else. if / when you come to visit me at my home - i will show you the infamous cord.
now, moving on to other things. the following are pics of my new bowling ball. i was lucky enough to get this ball and have the holes drilled to my specifications. i can't wait to bowl with it. i'm trying to talk isaac into getting one, too, so we can become a daring duo on the lanes.
if you click on this pic and enlarge it - you'll notice that i even got to have a name engraved on it. i chose "Wuh-wuh". this is a childhood nickname that the neighbor boy gave me as a child and it has stuck over the years. troy and zane love this nickname.
o.k. that's all for today folks.

there is coconut juice on my stairs.
on sunday afternoon zane and brianna came over for a pheasant dinner. you see, isaac, his family, and zane went pheasant hunting a few weeks ago. you go, shoot some birds, they package the meat for you, and you bring it home for some good eats. well, i'm not a fan of meat, especially meat that was shot and killed by anyone i know, so zane and isaac got to eat the meat all by themselves. brianna was courageous enough to try a bite - but i couldn't even stomach that much.
my favorite part of the meal was when zane took a bite of pheasant and stopped chewing to take a BB out of his mouth. so gross.
isaac and i had been to the store the night before and had bought coconuts and pineapple so we grilled up the pineapple and cracked open the coconuts to see what it tasted like. well, zane had a brilliant idea to stand in my kitchen and throw the coconut out the back door so it could hit the cement and break open. well, i asked them to go outside and shut the door to do it so it wouldn't splatter all over my kitchen. zane didn't believe me that it would splatter that far. but low and behold - this is what my stairwell looked like after they threw the coconuts down.
huh -
here's zane enjoying some fresh coconut meat.
and here's the bonus pic for the day - this is what a man who is cleaning a bathroom looks like. isn't my husband great?? he went skiing on saturday and still came home and did his chores. :)
