just in case you were wondering....

this is what my stomach and some of my insides look like. I had an EGD done yesterday so they could look inside of me to figure out why i haven't been feeling 100%, top-notch lately. and of course - they didn't find anything out of the ordinary except a super-clean stomach. and i got 100 bonus points for not fainting when they put the iv in my hand or took it out. i have a bad history when it comes to needles, fainting, and loosing control of bodily functions. yes, i did just admit that on my blog. but only because we are all adults and all have similar stories.

thanks for reading. please come back again - i promise i won't post any more medical pictures. well, anytime soon at least.

i am....

frustrated.
i took my car in yesterday to get the yearly safety and emissions checked. well, my car didn't pass on either test. i got a big fat REJECTED at the bottom of my reports. i could have cried. i probably will in a few days.
you see, i had an unfortunate experience with my car and a deer a few years ago and in the back of my mind i always knew these problems would catch up with me, but i wasn't expecting the emissions part to fail, too.
so - what to do? spend the money to get these things fixed and wait for the next repair or do i get a new car?
it is hard being "responsible".
and expensive.

For those of you who've never been to the condo....here are some pics from last weekend. There was SO much snow up there. it was awesome!! it was a terrific winter wonderland.

this is a view from the balcony looking out to the Homestead golfcourse.

this is by the walkway in between the garage and the stairs up to our condo. usually there are 2 sets of stairs open, but because of the snow, there was barely one open.

this is next to the garage on the other side. there was about 2 or 3 feet of snow on top of the garage. i can't imagine what the run-off is going to be like.

this is the view looking off the hill down at the Zermatt resort.

this is a house that we drove by on the way out of town. pretty much all of the houses looked snowed in. a lot of the houses looked like people had climbed up on their roofs to shove some of it off.

it was so pretty! well, for those of us who acutally like the white stuff.

ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!@?!

now if that didn't get your attention - maybe this blog will.

I would like to officially break some news to you, my faithful readers.
Isaac and I are NOT engaged.
apparently there are people out there spreading rumors that we are engaged. weird, cause i don't remember isaac asking and he doesn't remember buying a ring.
I just got a phone call from my mother who was quite shocked to find out from her best friend, who found out from a neighbor, who found out from a relative, who found out from another relative that i was engaged. and this came right after i got an e-mail from another friend about an hour ago asking the same thing.

So - until the cows come home and and all is well in Oz, isaac and i are not engaged. He asked me to even put a little blurb in here about me hating him, but that would be a compelte lie. sorry george.

if you would like an update on my relationship with isaac - here it is: it is none of your business.
:)

and as always - lots of love.

slippery ice and cold knees

i am in a GROUCHY mood today.
i woke up not feeling completely rested and it was snowing. i do like the snow though, so that wasn't bad.
but when it takes over an hour to get to work and people are complete idiots driving in the snow, that didn't help my overly sour mood.
i drove to work listening to a tape from December 16, 1999, when i recorded my neice Dianne on the day her brother Chase was born. this is one of my favorite things to listen to because she just giggles the whole time on the recording. (i recently found this tape after it had been lost in storage) by the time i got to work i was a little frazzled. well, after i had walked halfway to the building i realized i had left my tape player on in the car. i didn't want the tape to get ruined because it could be a treasure for Dianne one day, so i walked back to my car to turn it off. i hate it when my conscience gets the best of me. as i was walking back to the parking garage i slipped on a patch of ice and landed right on my knees. it would have been bad, but i'm wearing a skirt today. i got up, walked to my car, and walked back to my office, again.
today should just be over and done with.

my favorite blog

so last night while i was enjoying the post-super-bowl-game-feeling-of-the-game-finally-being-over, (my deep respects to Mrs. Deppe who looked utterly bored during the last 2 quarters) isaac and his roommate jim and i were cruising the internet on their t.v. screen looking at a bunch of different blog sites and stuff. well, jim asked me about blogging and such so i shared with the boys my favorite blog spot, which is http://thepioneerwoman.com/. i LOVE this blogspot. it is so real and so fun to read. my favorite thing is her "Black Heels to Tractor Wheels: a love story" series. if you go back in her archives to September 2007, you can read the whole story from the beginning. it is great and keeps work fun on the slow days.
check it out -
