First Day of School

School is in session! All three kids are at Happy Valley School this year. Jack is a third grader and Audrey and Elliot are in kindergarten. They looked so adorable getting on to the bus in their uniforms this morning.

Woods Reunion

We were so happy to get to see our Utah cousins last week. We made the drive in one day and were so happy when we arrived at Aunt Les and Uncle Rob's house in Mt. Pleasant.
-Playing on the trampoline with Madi and Michael.
-Madi took Jack and I for a ride on the Mule. She is an excellent driver!
-We also got to spend a few nights in Lehi at Auntie and Uncle Zach's house. Josie kept everyone entertained.

The Woods family had their first official reunion over the Fourth of July weekend. We all met in Spanish Fork, UT and spent the day playing games and having fun. The reunion was soccer themed and our team name was "Woods United." We ended the night with a BYU soccer game and the Stadium of Fire fireworks.

Boston

I just got back from a wonderful trip visiting my brother Joey in Massachusetts. We had five whole days all to ourselves and filled them with eating, shopping, kayaking, sightseeing, playing on the beach, and talking for hours.

Colorado

We just got home from a nine-day road trip through Colorado. Ty had a conference in Vail for a few days and we decided to make a family vacation out of it. We did a lot of exploring and sight-seeing.

The highway took us up on top of a mountain and we got to experience some winter weather in June. We were glad to have our heavy coats!

We stopped in Lake City at the store where Ty bought his first fly rod as a teenager. This is still one of his happiest memories.

We spent a lot of time playing outside since the weather was so gorgeous.

Lots of hotels means lots of hotel pools!

Ty and I took turns mountain biking in Crested Butte.  With the high elevation we were both huffing and puffing.

Pie-zans Pizza in Gunnison was delicious!

We took a shuttle through Vail Village and thoroughly explored the town.

One of our hotels had a complimentary s'more bar and a fire pit to roast your marshmallows in.

Vail is a gorgeous town!

On our way home, we traveled through Utah and took a pit stop in Monticello to see the new temple.

Another fun break was in Blanding, Utah where we found an awesome dinosaur museum.

Preschool Graduation

Elliot and Audrey are finished with preschool! They loved being in Mrs. Goodrich's class so much. Next stop - Kindergarten!

Their teacher had them do a self-portrait on the first day of school and again on the last. It's amazing to see how much they improved.

Jack's Last Week of School

Jack's last week of school was very busy. One night, the whole school had a history fair and invited the families to come watch a performance. Jakc's class studied the history of television so they sang some old TV show theme songs and then displayed some art projects for us to see.

There was also a spelling bee that week and Jack was the winner for second grade! 

On Career Day, Ty visited Jack's class to teach them about what it's like to work for the FBI.

Water day was also a ton of fun. 

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day, we were lucky enough to have Granna and Papa with us. Cody and JoEllen got to join us in the evening and all the boys made a delicious dinner.

These boys all had to show off their new mountain bikes. I don't know if there's anything they love doing more than being together out on a trail.
