I volunteered to fly out to Utah with Porter to check him in to EFY in Provo.
I had been looking forward to this trip and getting to spend some one on one time with my favorite 15 year old!
We took an early morning flight Sunday morning so we could go to Temple square and spend some extra time in Provo before he checked in on Monday
It was a beautiful day and we had a great time at Temple square.
We took a tour of the Conference center.
These are the rainbows made from the skylights :)
We enjoyed some In n Out :)
I talked Porter into taking a walk down memory lane with me! We have been to Utah and Salt Lake numerous times, but I haven't been back to Prove since my Mom and I quickly drove through when Porter was 6 months old! We went to my old apartment where Allen and I lived when we met.

My door, #10....not sure why a huge spider is on the door in June....!
Allen's door, #52
We drove by the dentist office where I worked and then went to eat at Wingers, where Allen worked.
Maybe that is why Porter was so happy to be shown around town as I reminisced! Wingers after :)

I think Porter enjoyed his wings and asphalt pie!
We checked out the Provo Temple...
And tried out Swig :)
We admired BYU stadium...

And posed for more pictures!

Then it was time for Porter to check in.
Hugs and last minute reminders to make good choices...and he was off!
We had so much fun seeing the highlights, eating yummy food, driving, swimming at the hotel, talking, and taking lots of pictures!
I am so grateful I had this opportunity to spend time with just Porter. I was a little emotional on my flight back home as I thought about how quickly he is growing up. I am so proud of the incredible young man he is becoming! I will always cherish this special time we had together.
I hope he has a great week! I can't wait to get him home and hear all about it :)
