Water world

We took another trip to water world this year.  We used out free tickets from the lightning storm that closed us down early last year.
It was another great day with great friends and tons of swimming and rides!

Conifer with friends

Our friends, the Jensens, invited the kids and I up to their cabin in Conifer for the day.  We had so much fun!  We swam, canoed, zip lined, cooked our hot dogs for lunch, and had to run for our lives when a huge hail storm came!  It was such a beautiful day, we were caught a little of guard when the storm came in so quickly.  But we ran to the clubhouse and waited it out.  Then the sun came back out and we played a little longer :)

So much fun with all of these kids!

Summer fun

We have been having fun this summer!
We went to the minions movie...
When we walked out of the movie Jax stopped and said, "Can we stop to smell these pweety flowers?"  A very literal reminder to stop and smell the roses!
Rylee saved up to buy her very own helicopter!  This past Christmas was the Helicopter Christmas for the big kids and she wanted in on the fun too :)

Sidney did a volleyball camp.  Every morning for a week she learned about volleyball.  She loved it!
Sidney saved all of her money to my a "mermaid tail".  It is pretty cool and she can't wait to take it to the pool!
Love her big smile :)

Yay SUMMER!!

The kids got all tatted up :)
Cutest little patriot during the pledge of allegiance.
So grateful for this family of mine and all of our fun adventures!

4th of July in Utah

Beautiful sunrise!  Got up early to get ready for our drive to Utah.
We had another great 4th of July spent with all of our family in Vernal and Rachel and Paul and kids and my Mom and Dad.
We had to go shopping at our favorite spots...maybe more than once...
The kids wanted to sleep in the hammocks outside...

Sidney and Rylee were sleeping in the SAME one!!

Visiting "Randi's Pond", one of my favorite things :)
Gotta throw some rocks ;)

We went to the 4th of July Parade.
Played outside at Grandma LaRae and Grandpa Boom's.

SPARKLERS!

Happy 4th of July!
We loved our trip and spending time with family!

Kids!

This boy and his silly faces.
He loves his BYU had we brought back for him from the BYU bookstore!
One of my favorite things is watching Porter walk into the Temple.  Makes my heart feel like it is going to burst :)

These girls had fun a gymnastics camp.  Each morning for a week they went and flipped, jumped, stretched, and tumbled!

Love all these kids of mine :)

Randi's Birthday!

I had a great Birthday!  It included breakfast in bed!  Allen made the omelet before he went to work and the kids warmed it up and did all the rest, including the beautifully cut strawberries and decorated glass.  I loved it!
And the kids made this banner for me :) I sure felt loved!
Happy Birthday to me!!

Trip to Utah with Porter-EFY

I volunteered to fly out to Utah with Porter to check him in to EFY in Provo.
I had been looking forward to this trip and getting to spend some one on one time with my favorite 15 year old!
We took an early morning flight Sunday morning so we could go to Temple square and spend some extra time in Provo before he checked in on Monday
It was a beautiful day and we had a great time at Temple square.

We took a tour of the Conference center.
These are the rainbows made from the skylights :)
We enjoyed some In n Out :)
I talked Porter into taking a walk down memory lane with me!  We have been to Utah and Salt Lake numerous times, but I haven't been back to Prove since my Mom and I quickly drove through when Porter was 6 months old!  We went to my old apartment where Allen and I lived when we met.

My door, #10....not sure why a huge spider is on the door in June....!
Allen's door, #52
We drove by the dentist office where I worked and then went to eat at Wingers, where Allen worked.
Maybe that is why Porter was so happy to be shown around town as I reminisced! Wingers after :)

I think Porter enjoyed his wings and asphalt pie!
We checked out the Provo Temple...
And tried out Swig :)
We admired BYU stadium...
And posed for more pictures!

Then it was time for Porter to check in.
Hugs and last minute reminders to make good choices...and he was off!

We had so much fun seeing the highlights, eating yummy food, driving, swimming at the hotel, talking, and taking lots of pictures!
I am so grateful I had this opportunity to spend time with just Porter.  I was a little emotional on my flight back home as I thought about how quickly he is growing up.  I am so proud of the incredible young man he is becoming!  I will always cherish this special time we had together.
I hope he has a great week!  I can't wait to get him home and hear all about it :)
