Christmas 2011 Part I

We had our annual Christmas Eve party with my in-laws and we had a special visitor come this year! 

 Charlie would not sit on Santa's lap.....

Hannah waited so patiently for Santa, her stocking was one of the last one's called! She loved every minute of it! 

We had a gingerbread house party and everyone got to make their own! Hannah and Grandma made hers.....it turned out great!

These three are going to be set for the Rodeo this year! Look how cute they are in their hats!

Charlie and Hannah got a play tunnel and tent and Charlie loves it! One of his favorite presents!

Cookie Exchange 2011

I hosted my first ever cookie exchange this year! 

We did it up at my parent's house and it turned out to be really nice!

I made loaded baked potato soup for lunch and my mom made her delicious homemade bread.  

 For the party favors we let everyone have a snowman that my mom and I made.

Here is the recipe that I made. 

I wanted to thank everyone that came and especially my mom who helped me put the whole thing together! :)

I thought it turned out nice and I can't wait to do it again next year! :)

Touchdown!

I am a total slacker and haven't blogged forever. 

I have had no desire at all. 

Anyways, I thought I would post this short video of charlie.

I have been teaching him how to do the touchdown sign! 

Charlie's Birthday Party-Weight Side

Charlie turned 1 on Friday! 

I can't believe it's been a whole year! 

We had a small Family Birthday party for him on Sunday with the Weight side of the family.

He was so darn cute !

He found his presents a bit early.....but couldn't quite figure out what to do with them.

His favorite present was a Cat tractor that he can ride on! He loves it! He was so excited when he saw it! 

I made him a "Construction cake" for his birthday. 

He didn't really blow out the candles....he actually wasn't even really interested in them at all....so dad blew the out. :)

 We gave him a cupcake and the poor kid didn't even like it! 

We have yet to find anything sweet that he likes.  (besides ice cream) 

After this point he started crying and wanted nothing to do with the cupcake! What a little stinker! :)

 It ended up being a fun little party and we are thankful to everyone that came and supported Charlie on his big day. :)

I finally got around to taking Charlie's 1 year old pictures! 

It was pretty cold and windy when we took them and he wasn't a very happy camper, but we managed to get some cute ones. :)

He did NOT like the leaves....he was getting very upset when we put him in them!

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun time celebrating Halloween this year! 

Hannah was a cowgirl this year and it was Charlie's first Halloween!

We had our first annual Halloween party at the Moore's house this year! Brandon and I were dressed as Romans.  We weren't going to dress up, but I have an awesome older sister (The Purple Witch)  that gave us no choice! :)

 Charlie was carving his own pumpkin.......with his teeth! This kid is seriously like a beaver he chews on everything!

Charlie Walking

This video was taken about a month ago. I know I put this on facebook, but I also wanted to put it on here.  If you notice, Charlie doesn't respond to his real name.   He only responds to "mister."  For some reason Brandon started to call him "mister" pretty much from the time he was born and so he responds to "mister" rather than his real name now.  

Most of my family also calls him "mister" or "mister magoo"  It's pretty funny.  

I love this kid. 

This video was taken just a few days ago.  He is now walking pretty much everywhere he goes and he loves to hold things in one hand while he walks.  He is such a cutie. 

Fall at the ranch

We went up the the Weight Family Ranch last weekend and it was really beautiful! I love Fall!

Getting Fire Wood...

So I am really behind on posting....

This happend about a month ago and I am just finally getting to posting about it. 

My parents live in Heber and they rely on warming their house with a wood-buring stove.  So every year they go up to the mountains and get fire wood.   I decided to go along with them for their first trip.  

It was so beautiful where they go!  

My mom and Charlie.  It was pretty cold when we went and so Charlie and I stayed in the truck most the time.....

Here is one of the trees my dad cut down...

I decided two things from this trip.

*It is a lot work to chop your own firewood

*I am glad I don't have to do this every year. :)
