I just got a brand new camera for my photography class I'm taking this semester...these are the first pictures I have taken.

I got a Nikon5000 and it is awesome! I can't wait to learn how to use it and take lots of pictures!

Ice Skating with the whole family!

My dad took us all ice skating on Monday. We even took Hannah....she might have still been a too little, but she had fun!

Brandon hadn't been ice skating since he was 7 years old! He did great though...he only fell twice! ( and i laughed my butt off when he did) I grew up going ice skating all the time, I even had my own pair of ice skates when I was little. I haven't been ice skating for like 5 years, so I was a bit rusty....but I never fell!

It was so much fun being with the whole family. I can't wait to go again next year!

Christmas 2010

We had a great Christmas Eve party at Tad and Joyce's this year. Tad made us a great dinner and then we had lots of fun with all the kids. We made gingerbread houses, played bingo, and Santa even left the kids some presents.

Hannah, Ella, Tanner, Nolan, Gracie, and Charlie --don't they look happy? ;)
Hannah's finished gingerbread house

Christmas Morning.

It took us a good two hours to open presents this year. Here's why..
1. Brandon had to clean up after each present
2. Hannah wanted to open everyone's present
3. Brandon taped the presents so much, no one--not even I could open my own presents
4. Brandon had to organize all the presents after each present was opened

Charlie wearing his new tie.. :) He is starting to get some rolls on his legs... :)

My mom made my sisters and I all the cutest beanies for Christmas
We had so much fun this year celebrating Christmas with our family! Can't wait for next year! :)

Best Buddies....

Charlie and Morgan don't know it yet...but these two cuties are going to be best buddies!
Charlie kept putting his hand in Morgan's mouth and she would try to suck his fist...it was so cute! I tried to take a picture, but I was too late.

Smiles

I finally captured Charlie smiling on camera...he has been smiling the last week but I can never get it on camera....Well tonight we caught one..

Temple Square 2010

Last week we went up to Temple Square with my parents to see the lights.
We took Trax up and it was insanely busy!!! I can't believe how hard it is to get a 3 year old and a baby around with two strollers! It would have been impossible with just the two of us, so I'm glad we had my parents to help out.

Charlie was by far the most warm out of all of us! He slept the entire time.
Hannah and Papa Jim riding on Trax.
Grandma Nettie and Hannah riding Trax

We took a lot more pictures..but they all turned out really dark...

It was freezing, but we had a great time!

Family pictures...

A couple of weeks ago I had my friend Tiffany take some pictures of our family. We got some really good ones, even though Hannah was a bit sick and did not want to cooperate! :)
So here are some of my favorite ones....

Let the sleeping begin....

We are finally done with school for the semester!!! I can't tell you how excited I am about this. These are just a few things we have planned over the break....
*Temple Square
*Sleeping
*Making chocolates and candies
*Sleeping
*Relaxing
*Sleeping
*Eating
*Sleeping
*Spending time with family
*Sleeping
*Playing games
and to top it off more sleeping!

Yeah.....I plan on catching up on sleep. When you only have one child you can sleep when your baby sleeps....but when you have TWO....it's a whole different story. If you try to sleep you may or may not wake up to:

Your daughter eating a milky way for breakfast
Your daughter putting your makeup on
Your daughter drawing on the couch
Your daughter playing on your very expensive computer
Your daughter eating a whole bag of gummy bears for breakfast
Your daughter playing with the formula powder and wasting half a can
Your daughter sitting in the bathtub naked...without any water
Your daughter using the toilet water to wet her washcloth

Just to name a few...
the funny thing is....I wouldn't change it for the world.

Ready for Church

Yesterday was Charlie's first time going to church. He looked so handsome! :) He slept the whole time....and Hannah was even a good girl! So it actually turned out better than I had expected.

Charlie was weighed on Friday and is finally up to 8 pounds and 20 3/4" long. He is the 10th percentile for weight and 5th for height. He will be 6 weeks old on Thursday. I can't believe how fast time goes by! It seems like yesterday that we were bringing him home from the hospital.

Hannah got a hold of my camera again...who knows when she took these pictures..
These are pictures of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the TV. I thought she did a good job! :)
She is one silly girl. :)

Blessed

The other day I was driving myself to school and I was listening to Michael McLean's Forgotten Carols. I have listened to this CD a hundred times, but for some reason the first track, "let him in" really struck me.

Our life has been very hectic lately and both Brandon and I are gearing up for finals and so it has been really stressful the past month, but when I listened to this song I just felt the spirit so strongly and just had a great sense of peace at that moment.

This time of year is always stressful, and I think sometimes I forget what the season is all about. I feel so blessed to be surrounded by the people I love and to know that my Heavenly Father loves me and is there for me as long as I let him in. I am so blessed to be the mother of two beautiful, healthy children and the wife to the hardest working, most amazing man.

Here is the song if you'd like to listen to it.

My little "helper"

I was cleaning the kitchen and Hannah decided she wanted to "help" me. I wasn't really paying much attention to what she was actually doing until I was walking on a wet floor.

She took the mop from the kitchen, to the bathroom, turned on the tap and got the mop wet. She then dragged the VERY WET mop through the house and back to the kitchen to mop the floor.

At first I had no idea how the mop got wet, and that's when she told me that the bathroom water was still on. I went into the bathroom and sure enough the tap was still running and the carpet was wet from the bathroom to the kitchen. :)
