Braces Scheduled Off

Took Nathan to the orthodontist today with the plan that they were going to take his braces off.  We got there and the doctor said that he wanted to keep them on one more month.  Nathan was really disappointed.  Now they will be coming off after his wisdom teeth come out.

Pleurisy

Ann called me tonight as I was going to bed.  She was back in ER.  She collapsed at work this afternoon while helping a customer.  They called an ambulance and took her off to the ER.  She has pleurisy.  Very, Very painful. 

That really surprised me.  Usually that comes after a cold or respritory infection.  We just saw her last week and she had been fine.  She said she didn't have either of those.  Sometimes it is linked to heart problems.  They put her on a muscle relaxer of all things.  She is off work again for a couple of days. 

Final Moving Day

Went over to Ann's about 10:00.  We helped her unpack and move stuff around.  She is pretty much done, but the TV.  Trevor said he and Tyler would do that tomorrow for her. 

Grown up and on her own.  I'm proud of her, so why does that make me want to cry?

Ann's Moving Day

This day has totally not gone as planned.  Ann has been so stressed.  We got the truck and cars loaded up this morning and drove over to the apartment complex.  They told her that the apartment wasn't ready.  They told her to come back about 3:00.  The carpets had not been cleaned.

We went back at 3:00 and he had just gotten there.  He told her they needed at least a couple of hours to dry.  She has a light beige color carpet.  We decided to regroup at 6:00.  Trevor and his cousin had taken time off specifically to help her.  She was not a happy camper!

We went back at 6:00 and the carpet was still damp.  She said she couldn't wait.  She decided that she would just reclean it later.  Trevor's mom has a cleaner that she could borrow. 

We started trucking stuff in.  Mom had decided to stay home on this trip.  It was Ann, Trevor, Zach, CJ and I.  Of course she lives on the 3rd floor.  I like that for safety reasons.  For moving not so much.  Trevor, Zach and CJ moved the couch up the three flights of stairs.  I was worried about CJ.  Other than the couch he was carting up some heavy boxes.  I forget sometimes that the boys are growing up.  He just kept rolling his eyes and telling me that he was fine.  It is so hard to let go sometimes. 

Her apartment is really cute.  It is pretty good size for a one bedroom.  It is really clean and new looking.  I loved it.  Glad I got to see it, so I can picture her in it now.

We got the truck and cars unloaded.  She went and got pizza about 9:30 and we ate while we started unpacking some stuff.  We got her bed made and dishes and pots and pans unpacked.  We will get the rest of the stuff tomorrow and move the food stuff in.

I tried to take pictures of Ann's apartment with my camera, but it was erroring out for some reason.  Now that makes me a very unhappy camper.  It is expensive and I have no idea why it isn't working.  It worked last time I used it. 

Driving a Truck to AZ

Here is the truck packed and ready to go.  CJ washed the windows while I gased up.  We had a very easy trip down to Arizona.  Just one minor detail.  We couldn't get the speedometer to work.  I just stayed behind truckers all the way down and didn't go any faster than the traffic.  And we prayed that we wouldn't get pulled over!!

CJ was the only one that would go.  Nathan said he didn't want to miss two days of school.  That never seems to bother CJ. :) 

We got to grandma's house and I called Ann.  She came over and ate dinner with us.  She is supposed to get the key in the morning.  We are going to meet her over there about 10am.

I told Ann about the truck speedometer and she said "Mom, they have an app for that."  She looked for just a minute and downloaded on for me on my phone.  Sure enough it works.  I never even thought about that.  Technology!



Home Teachers

Home teachers are wonderful.  We have great ones, but they just saved me.  They are such a great support system for the members.  Bro. Owen just offered to let me use his truck to go down to Phoenix.  I am so excited.  We can do this now.

Ann's Moving

Ann is moving into her own apartment this week.  She is so excited.  She never meant to be with Trevor's grandmother this long.  Nama has been a blessing though.

She called and aked if she could have the couch bed that is down in the family room.  She doesn't have a couch.  She also wanted her dresser and the rest of her stuff that she has here.  I just have to figure out how to get it to her.  I priced a u-haul and it was about $500.  I don't have a trailer hitch so I'm not sure what to do.
