California 2012

Clearly I am more than behind on blogging but I am determined to get back on it because I love going back and seeing all the things we've done.

Demolition Derby 2012

Saturday we went to the Salt Lake County Fair's Demolition Derby.

 We've tried a few different ones

and this one is our favorite by far.

 Gavin was in heaven. He loves numbers and he loves cars.

So cars that have numbers that crash is awesome in his book!

I don't know if even Disneyland in a few weeks will top this!

Possibly the cutest thing ever.

Back to School

Today was the first day of 3rd grade. Yep, I have a 3rd grader.

Nate's Baptism

Nate was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saturday, April 7th 2012.

  We were very thankful to all of the friends and family who came out to support Nate on this special day.

Makeover

This was a long process, much longer than planned but it was worth it in the end. I had been dying to make this space (and the entire house) feel like a home, our home. So it all started with wanting to paint, which lead to a new fireplace and a few other things.

Goodbye old boring fireplace....

Turns out there was a big waste of space back there

So we tore it all down

and pushed it back.

Added a beautiful mantel, dry stack rock and some paint...

(good job babe!)

Ta-da!

Found this blue credenza on KSL

and added a bunch of fun accessories.

See those pictures on the floor? Someday there will be two

hung on each of the sides of the lamps.

Someday.

We also found this table on KSL.

I love it. A lot.

Still some work to be done, window treatments,

a new light fixture for over the table,

but for now I am super happy with how it turned out.

I love making this house into our home.
