Spring Break

Tyler had a full week off for Spring Break so the kids and I took advantage of that time to visit my parents.  We had a great time!

Luckily the kids do a great job at traveling now.  (Hopefully our times like this are past.)

We stopped for lunch at McDonalds.

The kids loved playing with their cousins.  Unfortunately, they didn't have spring break at the same time, but we saw them every evening.

One day the kids, my mom and I went for a walk.  A nearby house has some miniature horses.

Emily was a little timid, but eventually joined Tyler and Megan at the gate.

We went for a walk along the canal road and decided to get some grass to feed to the horses on the way back, but the horses had gone to another part of the property by the time we returned.

Uncle Greg came for lunch a few times and that was fun.

The kids loved swimming at the Y two different days.  They are getting to be quite the little fish and loved jumping in.

Little fishies.

The second day I did not get in the water so we insisted the girls wear "water wings."

Goodnight stories

One night my parents treated all of us to the newly opened Dairy Queen.

The kids were all dying to go for a ride in the pick up truck with my dad to look at deer so I tagged along too.  We saw lots of deer grazing in the nearby fields.  I used my camera to get this close up view.

Besides "live deer", Tyler really wanted to see deer bones.  We found several sets along the country road.  Those poor deer just don't make it when they meet up with a vehicle.

The week went by too quickly.  It was such a nice break.

Stopping for lunch on the way back at Taco Bell.

Our last "cousin hurrah" happened at our house.  Kimberly, Sage and Aubrey stayed at our house Friday night before they attended the Saturday morning session of General Conference.  The kids loved having Aubrey here.  They all wanted to sleep by Aubrey, so we arranged for her to be in the middle of them.
