This past week Tyler and I went for a bike ride to the park. There is a slight incline on the way to the park, so I was huffin' and puffin' but the ride home was a breeze!
Here's my cruiser and the bike trailer.
Tyler loved the ride.
The baby swing that Tyler used to swing in is broken so we had to improvise on the "next step up" swing. He sits in the swing backwards. There's no "back" on the swing so I have to stay nearby so he doesn't fall out backwards.
When we got back from the park we sat out on the lawn and enjoyed the beautiful summer weather. Tyler didn't like crawling on the cement in shorts, so here's his improvised crawl.

Country Cousins
Tyler and I got to go visit my parents last week and had a lot of fun. Tyler enjoyed hanging out with his cousins who still call him "Baby Tyler" or "Baby Tywer," depending on their age.
We got to go see Jonathan's baseball game. Here he is at bat.
Tyler loved crawling around and found this fun stick.
Here's Olivia, Tyler, Kyle and Aubrey.
Cheering on Big J. Tyler often preferred to go to Grandma rather than to Mom.
Tyler loved being out on the swing and nearly babbled my dad's ear off one afternoon as he pushed Tyler.
Tyler thought the feel of sand on his hands was pretty cool.
One afternoon we got to go swimming at the YMCA. Tyler loved floating around in his yellow float tube.
The country just wouldn't be the country without a 4-wheeler. Nathaniel, Tyler and Daniel enjoyed the ride.
Tyler thought he was big stuff sitting up to the counter with Laura and Daniel while they played with Play Doh.
Tyler fell asleep in the swing.
It was a bit breezy so we let him sleep and covered him with a sweatshirt.
Tyler and I loved the country!!!!!

100th Post Giveaway
In honor of this, my 100th post, I thought I'd do a little giveaway. It's not much, but I thought maybe somewhere someone might like getting something free. If you are interested in my "pinky print" note cards, leave a note in the comments box. I will do a very scientific drawing on Saturday to find out who the winner is.
The prize is 4 jelly bean guys note cards with plain white envelopes and...
4 flower note cards with plain white envelopes.
I'd like to take the credit for coming up with the idea of using your fingerprints to make stationary, cards, etc. but I can't. My very talented former roommate Jennifer gave me some adorable fingerprint stationary on my mission and I've since copied the idea. Thanks Jen!

Welcome Summer!
It's been a while since I've posted some pictures, so here are a few from the last couple weeks.
Tyler is loving the warm weather and can't get enough of being outside. He'll throw a tantrum when he has to come in.
Here he is with "sunscreen hair."
Lovin' the railing.
I had to keep Tyler busy while I was staining the wood for the garden box (see below), so I resorted to screwdrivers.
Tyler discovered the ice scrapers and loved "scraping" the floor.
Staying out of the way
Checking out the rain
A tuckered boy
My handsome boys
On Memorial Day we went for a drive to some nearby valleys.
Even though we live in a desert, the beauty of God's creations is all around.
We walked along some springs.
We're so glad summer is here and we can't wait to make more memories!

Gardening
We planted our garden a couple Saturdays ago.
Darrell prepared the garden.
Tyler loved helping.
The garden (with no mystery plants this year, we hope!)
Here it is today. The spinach, peas and some of our beans are already up! (And I swear the rocks multiply and grow from year to year too!)
The garden plot you see above was *lovingly* cleared and de-rocked by yours truly. It took two summers and hours and hours to get it to that point. We laid sod around the garden the second summer and kind-of blocked it in. I want to expand our garden, but I don't want to dig up the sod or spend hours clearing rocks, so I decided we needed to build a garden box.
Here is the garden box in progress.
Now it's just waiting to be filled and planted!
