Experimental surface

12 X 9 soft pastel sketch on a surface I made a few years ago using YUPO for its durability. The only thing was I was not sure if the gesso mixture would maintain a good bond on it. After a few years and it still hasn't peeled off, I am assuming it will stay put.

Soft pastel on board coated 

w/ gesso and aluminum oxide, 10 x 8

 

A Little Sketch

Made a batch of gesso and aluminum oxide mixture and primed a 8 x 6 Masonite board to test it out to made sure it has enough grit in the mixture. It seem to be alright for now.
