Nine Patch

I got to thinking about a Nine Patch block. Somehow it looks very different on point.

Borders

On Point Oh Susannah

I've been fiddling with this since 10 November 2010. I like the central motif but I'm still looking for a border that will set it off.

Borders

On Point Oh Susannah

I'm still looking for some way to finish this image. I want to do something besides just adding plain borders.

Borders

On Point Oh Susannah

I want to take another stab at finding a border for this design. My last stab was 2 days ago.

Borders

On Point Oh Susannah

This quilt top design, from my 10 November 2010 post, could use a better border treatment.

Kansas Star

This on point Kansas Star comes from my 16 May 2010 post. I'm going to play with it again to see if I can create a different quilt top.

Quilting

On Point Shoo Fly

This on point Shoo Fly quilt top comes from my 6 August 2010 post.

I need to decide how to quilt it.

Shoo Fly

What if I turn a Shoo Fly block on point? Can I use it to create a quilt pattern I like?

Playing with Colors

On Point Kansas Star

This is from my 30 May 2010 post. When I made it, I liked it but I wasn't smitten by it. The background pattern competes with the on-point Kansas Star Diamonds.

Both Elsie and Judy left comments as to how I could improve it.

On Point

Balkan Puzzle

I'm turning Balkan Puzzle on-point. I want to see what kind of design that will produce.

What if I change the colors so that it no longer looks like Balkan Puzzle?

I want to design an on point quilt.

What if I start with a King's Crown block and turn it on point?

What if I start with a Kansas Star and then turn it on point?

On Point

Broken Dishes

What if I take a 6 x 6 Broken Dishes block, turn it on point and add some color to the center?

From My Pieced Alphabet:

Rosewood

Quilters often make quilts using blocks on point. I thought it might be a good idea to design an on point alphabet.

What if I use these on point Hidden Star blocks to design a quilt top?

On Point

Hidden Star

I think Hidden Star would be an interesting block to try on point.
What if I make 2 different Hidden Star blocks using various greens?
