Haydn is in a tumbling class at the YMCA on Wednesday mornings. I normally work Wed but someones child was sick yesterday so I worked for her and she worked for me today. So I was able to see Haydn in action. She really enjoys the class.

weekend in MA

The girls and I headed to MA after Hannah got out of school on Thursday (Friday was teacher in-service). It had been before x-mas since we were down there. We kept busy while there, headed to the Amish grocery store, went on walks, went to Pamida, Dollar Store, got in the hot tub, played in the snow. We found kid sized snow shovels at Pamida for $1.40! So the girls now can help me shovel snow! Well it didn't last too long in MA so I am sure it will last about that long here at home! We hit all the hot spots of Mt Ayr. Dad and I went to a supper last night at Ramsey Farms. We had Prime Rib, baked potato, desserts. You get the idea. Mom and dad had bought these tickets in advance. It was for Ringgold County Tourism. Mom told me to go in her place and she would stay with the girls. I jumped on that opportunity. She had a good time with the girls at home, painted their nails and had leftovers! The girls baked cookies yesterday and also made a V-Day card for Wes.

Valentine's Day Party

I helped with Hannah's V-Day party on Thursday. They played some fun games, made a craft and had carmel apples for snack. The class gave Mrs Rutz a plant for Valentine's Day. Each child was asked what they loved about her. I had typed this up and we put it with the plant. Mrs Rutz read the card outloud to the class. She got teary eyed which then made me teary eyed! This was her LAST class party for Kindergarten! Boy, the year has flown by!

We FINALLY have a patch of grass, something I haven't seen for MONTHS!!

Wes and the girls built a snow fort yesterday afternoon. They were outside well over 2 hrs working on this. Well Wes did most of it, Hannah did help, Haydn just played on the swingset!

Monkey See Monkey Do

Once Haydn saw Hannah's V-day box, she wanted one for herself. She and Wes worked on it tonight. Haydn thought she was big stuff. Also since Hannah bought Valentines Haydn thought she needed some. She said she could put her cards in her box....that will work!

Hannah decorated her Valentine's Day box tonight. She and Wes enjoyed being "artsy" together!

100 Days Smarter

Hannah celebrated her 100th day of school today. She also made the crown she is sporting in the picture. Her sticker says "100 Days Smarter". Mrs Rutz had special snacks for them also. Today they also had spring pictures. Boy, times have changed from when I was in school. We took pictures one time a year. Hannah also gets to choose the color of background for her pictures. Today they had a "spring" background.
