"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint."

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

… Into Thy hands, I commit all worldly matters… :)

My Prayer:

In Thee, O Lord, I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: Deliver me in thy righteousness. Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily; Be thou my strong refuge, a fortress of defence to save me. For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake, lead me and guide me.

Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.

Psalm 31:1-3,24

I recently found the finalized version of my PW report back in 2003. It's probably the first ever project report I had to do. Lots of significance you say, but I can hardly remember writing it. It seems so long ago. just like the age of the dinos.

The project title: The roots and awareness of racial discrimination in Singapore. This project was decided based on having three people from different racial backgrounds in the group. And our group name, triple thinking tanks. heh! Good use of alliteration though, but the name.. erm... ...

It has just been so long since 2003 and many things have changed. Honestly, I cannot even remember stuff learnt during history lessons. Ask me about the russian revolution or the italian unification, answers I have not. Economics are a definite no-no. I wouldnt even have the slightest clue..

My memory is indeed failing me.

I'm begining to feel the effects of the thesis year. The early waking and late sleeping, the long hours spent in the lab, the endless journals. Not just mental strains but physical ones as well. My posture has improved, yet the backaches still persists. (could be a matter of old age?) The eyesight has deteriorated or so I think.

Scenarios like these are the sacrifice for research, for the betterment of society. But is it worth it?

Many times i asked myself.

The answer my friend, is always singing in the wind..
the answer my friend is singing in the wind.

Shall blog more later.

You know there is an All Blacks match when:

1) Two weeks before the match, the streets are decorated with All Blacks stuff.
2) The whole world is talking about going to the game.
3) You see more people wearing the adidas All Blacks jerseys.
4) There is a sudden influx of people in the city the weekend lining up to the game.
5) Few hours before kick-off, the malls and streets become empty as people flock toward the stadium.

On my way to varsity today, I cannot help but sense the strong rugby heritage and spirit on the streets of Dunedin. Even the tailorshops and banks are decorated with All Blacks memorables.

THe rugby atmosphere should be experienced at least once.

Rachel wants to go watch an All Blacks match live. (: But since the tickets have long been sold out, i would settle for the live telecast of it.

HIP HIP HOORAY FOR DNA!

I was checking out the new EPmotion promotional video from Eppendorf. It aint as good as the PCR song from BioRad that I'd admit I truely enjoyed. Just so we're on the topic of Neuroscience.. Here's a short but precise song illustrating all the important anatomical parts of the brain.

Didnt expect to learn so much from Pinky and the Brain eh. But I enjoyed it, did you? Performed by our very own Sprague Dawley rats.. Or it could be Swiss Webster too... Hmm..

And since we're on the topic of science, lets return to the basics. Why not.. Plants! With lots of chorophyll and their main process of Photo-syn-the-sis.

Like that too? ..... If you did, you've got to check out my ultimate favourite (besides the PCR song from BioRad). Such a pity this video cannot be embedded but I HIGHLY recommend that you check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKjUAlb799M

Quick snippet:
Hip hip hooray for DNA! It provides the key.
To the plans for making everything in you and me.
A single strand of DNA, can alphabetically...
Be sequenced by the letters "A", "C", "T" and "G".

Have you watched it yet? (:
