penang trip 21-24 dec

Okie dokie!! Time to talk about my Penang trip from the 21st to the 24th December. Go to Ying Swan's blog to see what I have been up to from the 17th till the 21st :)

21st December
Woke up at 7. Reached pudu bus station at 8.40. Had to wait for nearly an hour to get onto the bus. So, the greedy me got Super Rings and Roller Coster to snack on the bus. RM2 each, rip me off! But still considered cheap. Slept nearly the whole journey, was pretty tired. Reached Penang at 2 something. Got picked up by Ying Swan's personal driver aka the wonderful sister aka Ying Swee. Then, we dropped by her house for a lil while before we get going to the hotel!!!

Hotel was superb!! The room is huge. It's more like a suite! Woot!! So comfy I tell you! And the view from the room is a combination of pool view and sea view. Wahhh! Hallelujah!!

First meal I had was chicken chop. It was just this shop opposite the hotel. Rather expensive but we were hungry and had no where to go coz yingswee has gone to play tennis. It was not too bad tho. What interested me was this fruit that the shop was selling. More like how they were promoting it.

Later, went to the beach for a little while. Mr.Sun was hiding hence we went and check out the gym. The weights were too heavy for me so we workout a little bit then went back to the room and SLEEP! Sleep was good, real good. Don't know why I'm so sleepy when I already slept so much in the bus.

At night, makan time!! Went to this food court nearby. Drove pass the Penang Chinese Swimming Club. I can remember it very well as it was the very first friendly meet I went to and the pool water is sea water. Hehehe...

Anyway, for dinner, I had this herbal duck mee suah. They don't have it in KV (klang valley- inclusive of kl and selangor....ehehehe) or maybe I just don't see them. It was pretty good. Plus, HERBAL. Felt like I'm eating something healthy.

Went to gurney plaza after dinner. Walked around a bit and then back to hotel. Slept at 2 am that night as I couldn't sleep. Was up watching LOST, Fear Factor and Amazing Race Asia.

22nd December
Woke up at 7.15. Our hike up Penang Hill begins!! Let me just let the pictures do the talking. You can read more on it at Ying Swan's blog. Me is lazy!!

i'm not tired.. i'm not...see, can even still smile... still feeling young :D

During our journey, we had some animal encounters...

cute lil puppies!! when they saw me, they were all over me!! Licking my legs. Lolx!! So cutee!!

and last but not least..........

Penang's very own Incredible Hulk!!!!

After coming down, we had coconut water followed by a 30 minute walk to this shop that has really good Penang Hokkien Mee and this drink called amberla with sour plum. So good!!! Taste something like lime and sour plum except not so sour and it is sweeter. I also found out that Penang Hokkien Mee = Prawn Mee. After lunch, went back to hotel and SLEEP again. Wanted to go to the beach but hotel more comfortable and I was super duper sleepy.

At night, went to the food court next to Gurney Plaza for dinner. Ate char kuey teow and drank air tebu = sugar cane water. When I first came back to Msia this time, I told my aunt I wanted to drink BAMBOO water thinking it's air tebu. Haihhh....terrible lar me.....

After that, jalan-jalan at gurney again. Saw yingswan's brother and his tennis friends. Mann!!! How lame can those lil kids get man!! Little kids gossip, so funny. Went back to hotel and watch a movie, forgotten the name but it was a quite a good movie. Swan's sister bought like heaps of dvd apparently. And I didn't get to buy any. When I wanted to get some, apparently the police was coming so they couldn't sell them. Bugger!!!! Ohhh wellzz...

December 23rd
had to wake up early again today and check out from the hotel. Woke up at 8 this time tho. Was meant to wake up at 7 but I snooze my alarm till 7.30 and then completely turn it off so i ended waking up at 8. Had E-Fu Mee for breakfast. Taste like yee mee. I think it's yee mee. Haha!!!

As for lunch, I had really good asam laksa and the famous teo chew chendol. After a very full lunch, went shopping. Didn't get any dvds tho. Bought a pair of slippers, christmas present for brother and his gf and a necklace for myself. I think that's all I bought.

At night, went to this foodcourt called Tanker. According to yingswan's mum, it's called Tanker coz it was built when the movie Titanic came out and the food court is as big as the Titanic. Hmmmnnn.. I don't know whether to believe or not, sounds hard to believe. But, Yingswan isn't lame, so her family can't be lame, right? But then again, her brother is super lame. Haihhh.. I don't know, lolzz!!Later, went to the largest shopping mall in Penang - Queensbay Mall. Damn it's big and long but not easy to get lost which is good. I think we managed to walk the whole mall.

December 24th
My last meal in Penang- Kuey Teow Soup. Yummy!! Everything I ate at Penang was yummy. Was so good. Even just kuey teow soup can be good too. Catch a bus back to KV at 9am.

So that's the end of my Penang Trip. Big thank you to Yingswan who was such a good host, taking me around, giving me an awesome time. Thanks to yingswan's sister, yingswee, who's been driving us around all the time, whole day drive drive drive. Thank you soo sooo sooo much!!!! Thanks to uncle and auntie for having me and buying tambun biscuits for me!!!

Really had an awesome time. Will definitely go to Penang again when I come back to Msia next time!!!! And next time, I'm gonna get my dvds!!!!

I'm back from Penang!! Penang was awesome!!! Will blog about it soon!!

Now, Merry Christmas everybody!!! ok, that's late but hey!! we're all still in the christmas spirit right?? hehehe....

I thought I wouldn't really be celebrating christmas this year since I'm coming back from penang on xmas eve so won't be able to plan anything. But, I thought wrong. I actually had a wonderful christmas this year.

Christmas Eve:
Left Penang in the morning. Bro texted me and said:"Any plans for christmas? Let me know you're not alone.". Awwwww... so sweet and so touched!! Love my brother a lot. I replied him and told him not to worry about me and go ahead with his plans as I was already prepared to just stay home on christmas eve at home. Plus, I did not want to trouble him and want him to have a great time with his gf.

Reached taman bahagia lrt at 2 and got picked up at 3 by matt then went to ou coz his mom was there doing christmas shopping. Finally HOME SWEET HOME for me at 5. Haven't had lunch. Thank goodness I ate the kuey teow soup for breakfast!!! Was so sleepy when I reached home but still wanting to go out during the night. Was texting miao sern and sinseanne asking about their plans for the night. Finally came to a decision that we'll be spending christmas eve together after lots of calling and texting.

After matt dropped me home, he called. Convo goes something like this...
M: my mum ask you to go for the christmas lunch with us tomorrow
S: don't want lerr.. i only know u and ur cousin
M: that's the only ppl u need to know.. go go!!
S: but but....
M: u got nothing to do tmrw right?? i know u loner marr.... plus my mom was saying "shermayne all alone at home for christmas, so poor thing. ask her to come along la..."
S: u know what my reason is right?
M: u shy!!!
S: yahhh.. i shy.. so i don't want to go
M: u know i hardly ask u for anything... for this one time i'm just asking u to come along. got nice food u know! roast lamb, chicken... and maybe turkey also....
S: *grrrr.... food!! yumm!! hard to resist* ok ok, i'll go.
so now u'll probably kno what i did on christmas day.

anyway, back to christmas eve. Went to murni with sinseanne, enghan, enghan's friend (forgotten her name... she's from barbados or smth like that, dno how to spell), yu sheng and bobby. after eating at murni, went to the food court somewhere in ss2 as well to have ramly burger nd chee cheong fun. enghan is feeding his friend heaps since her stay in msia is short and there's so much food to be tasted. haha! later, it was back to my place and waited for miaosern, pearl and matt to arrive. then, all of us (excl. enghan n his friend)were off to Asia Cafe in Subang. Played fuzball and pool till 2.

When we were reaching my house, we decided to do something crazy i.e. get down the car and start pushing it until it reaches my house. FUN!!!! gosh!! i was laughing and pushing the car at the same time. Laughed till can't even stand up. Was just leaning on the car. matt and pearl were sitting inside and it was miao sern and sinseanne that was pushing the car. I was just laughing my heart out. Definitely a night to be remembered!!! Sinseanne and pearl sleptover at my place, miaosern sleptover at matt's.

Bro came home around 2 something and gave me my xmas prezzie. Gave him his too. Got like shampoo and conditioner from him. Not just ordinary shampoo ok!! It's like some magnetite shampoo that's apparently very good. I got him a book by jeffrey archer but.................... he already read that book!! He also bought it!! Gahh!! How can i be soooooo not observant!! haihhh.... felt so bad...
Didn't sleep till 4 something as we were watching Take the Lead. Amazing I can still stay awake till so late considering I was yearning for sleep so badly during the day. Guess it was the great company that kept me awake!!

Christmas Day
Woke up at 8.45. Went to the mcds at centrepoint in BU with pearl, sinseanne, matt and miaosern and we had mcd breakkie. Food was just so-so.. but the company was great and so funny!!

In the afternoon, it was off to matt's auntie's house. Had to go to his house first to pick his mom up. On the way, I was just freaking out. Don't know why so scared also. I was just thinking how to introduce myself. I have never really met friend's relatives before at a function where it's like a family thing. Was just thinking it's going to be so weird. Was thinking of greeting them like this..." hi, merry christmas. i'm shermayne. matthew's friend, not girlfriend." haha!!! don't want to give wrong impression man!! i mean, seriously if u take a friend of the opp sex to a family function, obviously the relatives wld think they are just more than a friend, right? tell me if i'm wrong. Hehe... But yea, in the end, just said "Hi Auntie/Uncle, Merry Christmas!!!" and matt did the introducing. Haha!!
Waited quite long for the food but it was worth the wait. Wasn't boring as well. Occupied myself with TV!! Haha!! and the aunties, uncles, cousins are all friendly, easy-going, nice, friendly people. Didn't feel awkward. Ok, maybe at the start I was kinda shy but later, it was all good. Played cards after eating. Played till around 7 something. Crazy!! Laughed till tummy ache as well. Somehow the atmosphere felt a bit like cny. Really enjoyed myself.
It was just my day. I did not lose in any card games at all!! Not even once!!! Muahahahahaha!!!

Later, went to The Curve to get my brother another book. I know it's the thought of me getting him an xmas prezzie that counts but still.... I just HAD to get him another present that he will use/read. Hopefully this time he hasn't read that book and hopefully it's a good book. Kinda worried about that coz the author is not one of the familiar authors that he reads from. *fingers cross* giving the book to him tomorrow (boxing day).
Had tong sui at SS2 after that and then it was back home.

Overall, I had an awesome Christmas. It was so unexpected, unplanned and it was just GREAT!! Thanks so much to matt's mom who invited me to the lunch and matt who persuaded me to go and made sure I'm not left out. No regrets at all, no regrets. Plus, also a learning experience. In the future when I go meet my future bf's parents, relatives, I'll be a wee bit less freaked out!! bwahahahahahaha!!! What a nice xmas present from santa, eh? Haha!!

Ignorance is bliss. But what do you do when it's just too hard to ignore something? How I wish I can say everything is just fine. How I wish things can just go the way I want it to be - plain and simple.

Ying Swan is coming todayy!!! bwahahahaha!!! going to go pudu station and pick her up. i really hope i can find my way there and don't get lost. i know nothing about the city. i'm terrible. Worst come to worst, just open my mouth and ask. Hope I don't get kidnap too!! haha!!! touch wood touch wood!!

And so we have a winner --> Pei Yun!! (darren, sorry u're a bit too slow. understandable tho, old already mar :P)

I bet she's the most excited one. She kept on bugging me to pierce my ears since.... since I don't know when. everytime go out shopping and when we see earrrings, she will be like.... "aiya!!! go get ur ears pierced!!!!".

Well, the next excited one is my aunt who took me to pierce my ears. Since I came back and every single time I go out shopping with her, she'll say all these...

First, she'll start off with....
"Come!! I take you pierce your ears!!"

Then after I say NO!!!!!! She'll go....
"You're a girl!! You have to dress up, decorate yourself and look pretty. Orelse next time very hard to find guys." (ROFL...what the?? i thought looks doesn't matter.)
"You see your cousins so young already pierced their ears. You so big still haven't got yours." (aiyoo... you take me pierce my ears when i'm a lil girl I sure want la... lil girls are all tiny vain pots!!! now i'm big, i've lived without it for 18 yrs, of course i don't see the need of having it)

Reasons I've been giving to not get my ears pierced...
1. I love my ears. I don't want to put holes in it.
2. If I get my ears pierced, I will be buying earrings. Might even get addicted to buying them. Waste money. Those money could be used to buying other things.. *think FOOD! lotsa lotsa FOOD!!*
3. See when ppl go for ball, they will have to think of what necklaces, what bracelets, what EARRINGS to wear. Me, I got one less thing to think about :D

The real reason:
I'm admit... I'm scared ok... I'm not scared of injections, not scared of the needle when donating blood. But piercing.......OUCH!!! I mean, the needle goes THROUGH your skin and comes out on the other side!! How can it just be like an ant bite? You must be kidding me!

But yea... after the constant nagging, on 14th dec 2006, I decided to just go for it to make it end!! So at night, aunt took me to one of the goldsmith shop in SS2 to get my ears pierced. We were outside the shop and I was so close to peeing my pants.

Me: Can we just forget about all of these and just go have satay now? I'm hungry!! Very hungry!!
Aunt: No, we will do this first then eat.
Me: But what if the shop closes? Then cannot eat already.
Aunt: Then we will eat other things. Now just go in there and get it done.
Me: But... but.... *damn!!!!!!*

Here's what was going through my head the whole time...
After the lady did my left ear...
Ouch!!!! Those lil cousins of mine... all little liars... not just an ant bite, not just like a pinch. It's more painful than that. I seriously want to leave. But no no! i can't just have one side pierced, it would just be WRONG!
After my right ear...
Phew!!! It's all done. Yayyy!!! Finally it's over.

And then my auntie said to me: So, you want another two more up here?
Me: Oh my!! you must be kidding!! That one, wait a lil while more... i haven't gotten over this yet.

She bought me a pair of earrings right away and said it shall be my xmas present. I think she was more excited than me. Later, we had satay. Real good kajang satay. Now no need to go all the way to kajang to have satay. Yummm!! That was the best part of that night.

So yea.. now I'm finally a girl with something more.. i.e. a hole in each of my ear lobes. Lolx!!!

wait no more

The time has finally arrived. For me to go for it. After 18 yrs, 10 months, 3 days, I'm finally a girl with something more. I mustered all my confidence and I did it. After the occasional nagging and questioning from some people, I finally went for it!! So now, you guys can stop nagging. The wait has finally ended. I was scared but it turned out fine.

Who can guess? Who can guess? I will treat the first person to breakfast/lunch/dinner if you guess it right. Sure can guess. Especially those who have been nagging me. Go for it!

Hint: I know for a fact that some of you will be happy, maybe even jumping for joy. ;)

confused

Feeling rather confused lately. Should I go for it? I think I'll get it if I want to. But is it what I really want? Right now, that's what I want. Well, most of the time it's what I want. Sometimes seeing it but knowing it doesn't belong to me hurts. But looking back, I know it's not what I really want. Or is it? Things change you know. People change. But if I do go for it, I have a feeling it'll all end up badly. Enjoy now, suffer later? No no, mustn't musn't! It's just wrong. It's not THE-SHER-MAYNE-WAY. *sigh* So many what-ifs questions just keep popping out these days. I really need to be fully occupied!! (not emo not emo :P)

My favourite cereal: Honey Stars!!! Perfect for anytime. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks. I had it for breakfast and supper yesterday. So good I tell you!!

Cute lil kitty at shaleeni's house. It's super cute. Makes me smile when I'm playing with it. Makes me worry-free!! AhhhHhh!!! So adorable!

you ask him to do anything, he'll do it. guess he just wants attention, heaps of attention! i poured some water over him when he's all changed into his dry clothes, ready to get into the bus, and he just stood there and said :"some more! some more!". during lunch break when the pool was empty, everyone was eating their lunch, staring at the empty pool, matt jokingly asked him to jump into the pool. this lil fella grabbed his goggles, ran down to the pool and said:"do i jump in now?". no, he did not jump in the end, we asked him to come up.

- then there's this cool lil guy by the name Joey

he's cool and cheeky at the same time. we were having dinner at this seafood restaurant and he wanted a glass of water. he was looking around for quite awhile and then this carlsberg lady (you know all those ladies who serve beers in restaurants who wears the green, short dresses as their uniform?) who walked by and this cheeky lil fella called her and ask for a glass of water. i'm sure for a 12 yr old, he shld clearly know that these carlsberg ladies only serve beer!! that lady just walked off. haha!! matt was like :"what the heck? what were trying to do?". this lil fella just sat there with his cheeky smile. So cute! then an old restaurant lady came by with a glass of water for him. joey's reaction? "Ehh, why different lady wan??" Hahahaha!!

- matt and i at one point got really bored. we had a camera with us and this is what we decided to do to kill time/entertain ourselves.

- i had to put up with yucky packed lunch for 5 days but one of those days, I managed to get some yummy hakka mee of sinseanne.

Tomorrow i'm off to Mentakab for a friendly meet with bukit bendera club, some club from kuantan and melaka.... and we have to put up a performance during the dinner...urgh!! so last minute!!! but we do it the PJ style!! one day to figure out what we're gna do, and another day to practice, rehearse and we're done..ish ish!! geram!! i tot i wouldn't hv to come up with a performance anymore but i thought wrong... this is going to be the very last performance I'm going to come up with for the club!! no more, no more i tell you!! unless it's with the old gang again....then maybe....... haha!!!

bersatu games 2006, otago trip finally completed!!

I bet none of you remember this... but the very last time I blogged about the Bersatu Games was up till Day 4. Thought I wouldn't have finished it eh? Haha!!You thought wrong...bwahahahaa!! I finally finished it!!! All 10 days!! Woohoo!! Yes yes, it's what I've been doing the past few days. And it's done!! All done!!! After 4 months of delaying it. I finished it. I feel proud of myself ok. Been dragging and dragging it. Mehh... none of you would probably still be interested in reading it coz it's so long.

But I write it basically for myself, to remember it, to cherish it.... coz it was a freakin' awesome trip and I'll never want, never will forget it!!!

Gym on Thursday, gym on Friday...

Never in my life have my biceps hurt like it's hurting now! Seriously, it hurts so much that every single time I straighten my elbow, it hurts!! It's a lot of pain just to fully straighten it.

What did I do to make it hurt like that?
6 minutes biceps curl followed by 10 minutes biceps curl after the other exercises. The weight on each hand is only 1.25kgs. Still a killer I tell you, a killer!!! I just realized I've become so weak.

Now I really need a massage. Not butt massage this time tho.... arm massage...anyone? guess it's not that tempting anymore, ay?

I'm still bored, I'm still bored. I have no life. Lalalalalalala.... I haven't gone shopping yet. I really cannot tahan anymore, maybe tomorrow I'll go.

Why can't we just be happy with what we've got? Maybe it's just human's nature to strive for more, to want more. I think the only way for me to be happy is to get A+ for all. But then again, I might yearn to get even closer to 100%. See, never happy. This is stupid. Referring back to my October 20th post.....

"Not doing as well as last semester. I'm kinda worried. Definitely goodbye to my A- in medsci. sportsci102, i have already lost 12% out of 50%. Need a miracle to score an A- as well. Found out today we have to write an 800 word essay, 400 word essay, answer 6 short answers and 20 multi choice question in 2 hours. Crap! If like that means I have to basically understand every single thing lar... So much readings to be done... I hate this paper a lot, no right or wrong answer, or is there? As for sportsci104, i don't know where i'm sitting at but the mid-semester test, i did not score an A. So, what are the chances? Very low too. Not like last semester. Haihhhh.... Only hope left is Spanish, but spanish doesn't count towards anything, it's just a freaking main-main paper. *sigh* I really don't want Cs at all but I have a super strong feeling i'll get them this time."

Reasons why I should be happy:
1. I did better than 1st semester. 1st sem: 2A-, 1B+, 1 B-. 2nd sem: 3A-, 1 B
2. I said I need a miracle to score A- in sportsci102(sports n society). A miracle happened, I got my A-.
3. I said the chances for scoring an A in sportsci104 (func anatomy) is very low. And I got an A-.
4. I didn't have any Cs at all.

Reasons why I'm not happy:
1. Wanted to score better than an A- in Spanish (if only I actually put in more effort in it. But the motivation to study really died after Nov6.)
2. I'm like most people- Never satisfied with what they achieved. Always complaining.
3. I tend to compare myself with other people who did better than me. Hence, never happy.
4. I'm stupid.

Someone please whack me for not being happy!!!

Why? Why are you like that? I don't understand. I really don't. I said don't disappoint me. You said you won't. But in the end, I having a feeling you're in the process of disappointing me. Lies, they're all lies. Now I don't even know what you say is the truth or just another lie. People do make mistakes, and from there, they learn. But I think you're not learning. I thought I could trust whatever you say from then on. But it doesn't seem like it. I'm hearing different stories from other people. I want to believe that you're telling the truth and they're making up stories. But somehow I tend to believe them more than I believe you. Do what you want, I don't want to say much anymore. I can't do much anyway. It's all up to you. In the end, you're the one who makes the decision. All I'm doing is just telling you what I feel is right. But I know there's so many things for you to think about. There's other people who influence your decisions, your actions. I think no matter what you do, whatever the choices you make (even if I'm so against it), I'll still end up supporting you. Why? It could be because I'm just plain stupid or it could be because I'll always be by your side no matter what.

PHEW!!!!!! *lets out a great sigh of relief* Heard that medsci142 results are out. Logged onto ndeva. My heart was beating super fast. I was so scared. What would it be? If I failed, I'd cry and won't enjoy my holidays at all. If it's a C, I'd be disappointed and feel shitty but it's as expected; if B, I'd be satisfied; if A, I would jump for joy. I'm satisfied. I got a B. Phew!!! the moment I saw the B, my heart rate returned to it's normal level. The exam didn't go well ok, I really thought I might fail it (yingswan saw the look on my face after that paper, it wasn't a good look at all). It was possible to fail. Usually my papers are impossible to fail, just need like 10% then can pass. But this time I really thought I can actually fail it. But yea.. so relieved!! Now now, shall wait for the rest of my results to come out. Why do I have a feeling I would be disappointed? Maybe I'm just aiming too high. But medsci I was aiming low, hence satisfied.

Man, I just realized I've been blogging everyday. Must be really bored. Ohhh wellzz.. bear with me. I'm really bored. I should really go think of something funny to post. My blog isn't exciting anymore.

Tonight wasn't too bad. Went to club (no, not clubbing. for a second, me, yusheng and siewaun thought it was clubbing when matt asked us whether wanted to go to club) and played badminton. Wahahahahaha!! I won I won!! I love winning. Nyehehehehe.... Team up with siewaun and we won! All the games.. never lost a single one.. bwahahahahahaha!! Yea man! It's my charm, my sexy charm.. haha!!!

I was too hot that the lady said I'm not allowed to wear sleeveless shirt when playing badminton and asked me to put on a t-shirt. Ok, I was joking about being HOT but yea... I'm serious about not being able to wear sleeveless shirt on court. Apparently it's a rule and I didn't see that rule when I went on. For a moment, me thinks it's a stupid rule. I'm so used to wearing sleeveless back in NZ. But then again, it's understandable. This is Msia. And the club is a very malay-ish sultan-ish club. So yea...... thank goodness I brought a t-shirt along but I had to wear the same t-shirt after I showered. Wore back the sweaty stinky shirt.

Went to murni's for dinner, then to asia cafe for fuzball then went home. Big thanks to Matt who drove from pj-subang-shah alam-ss2-subang-pj. Thanks man!!! Ok, now I'm sleepy. I wanna sleep. Nitezzz!!!!!! Have a great day tmrw!!!

Yes, I'm bored. I haven't gone to any malls yet (unless Giant is counted). I haven't watch any movies yet. I've just been going to coffee shops and eat and eat. Then again, I've only been in kl(more like s'gor but kl is shorter to type) for 3 days. And, no transport. Probably got if aunt lets me drive the naza, I haven't ask her yet, don't dare to ask. Hehe...Also, kinda lazy to call up ppl and plan to meet up. Also, meeting up means shopping. And I am not letting myself shop till I can fit back into my jeans. Movies, come to think about it, I don't even know what movies are showing in the cinemas now. I'm terrible. Lazy until like that. Maybe I should go check it out later on.

Can't wait for my brother to come back. Want him to fix my wireless internet on my notebook. Then from there I shall slowly gao dim my 360 stuff. Yes, I'm not done with that yet. I'm just lazy, I'm SIEN.

Ong kee hui?? President's cup....

I'm back!! Finally back from Seremban. Slept for 10 hours last night. So tired. The past few days .....

ong kee hui isn't as fun as last time anymore. In fact, it was pretty boring. Well, ong kee hui is no longer called ong kee hui, it's called the president's cup now. Don't know most of the swimmers from ksas and the big ones are all gone. Only know two people(as in two ppl i can talk to and am close with)- sinseanne and matt. Big thanks to both of you who made me not so lonely. Even both of them agreed with me that okh/president's cup is not the same anymore. Not as interesting. Sort of felt left out. The big ones are all gone. I miss the good ol' days where we would sneak into other ppl's room, play cards, hide in the toilet when the parents come knocking on the doors. Getting caught sometimes and then sneak to other rooms again when they have gone to sleep. Now, no point doing that. It's so boring.

Also, had to wait ages just to jump in to swim 50/100m or wait for the others to complete their swim before we can go back to hotel. Last time we would play cards with the old ones and laugh our asses off during our card games when waiting for the others to finish. Now, no point playing with the young kids coz they scream and shout and whack u up and they don't listen. If you scold them, they tell their parents and their parents are on their side. My gosh!!

Now now, my swim. Hehe.. there's only max 11 people in my age group. Coz SPM is going on so not many people can swim. Other age groups, it can go over a hundred, 20 over heats. Points will only be awarded up to the 11th placing. 1st place 11 points, 2nd place 10 points and so on. Hence, I scored points for every event I swam in eventhough I got last for all of them. For 100 fly, I scored 8 points coz only 4 swimmers. 40 seconds behind the 3rd person!! So malu!!! But I finished!! So happy I finished. After the first 50m, I felt I was gonna die halfway back. Can hardly lift up both my arms and swing them forward. One pull after another. And I finished it in the end. Happy!! I didn't DQ!! It's all good. The only event I came second last was 50m backstroke but apparently I DQ-ed coz I moved a bit on the starting block. Argh!! all my timing sucks. Even slower than the young kids in ksas. How embarassing is that? But heeheee!! I scored points and they didn't. Nyehehehhehe... first time scoring points ok. Last time couldn't even score when I was training. Wahahahahahaha!!!

Have been eating quite sucky food the last few days in seremban. Only the siew pao was good. Packed lunch was horrible - so much veges and the meat is kinda tasteless and so lil sauce on the rice. Dinner so-so. Ended up eating so much veges coz the young kids didn't want to eat them and we have to finish up for them. Urgh!!!

Ok, not all is bad larr... I still had fun. Catching up with some old friends, ex-coaches, playing with some cute lil kids who listens, get a tan, cheering for other swimmers, meeting some new ppl.... Hmmnn... I hope mentakab is going to be better. It's a friendly meet. And yiwen is going, pearl is cmin back from aust and she's going too. Plus, friendly meet, so will be ermm...more friendlier? hehehehe.... Now now, I'm gna go train a bit and see if I can still improve my times and lose some weight!!! Have been eating and eating, so fat. Can't go shopping till I lose some weight. Coz no point buying clothes that I won't be able to wear when I go back nz.

Now, dinner time. Today's dinner: MANGOES!!! I had johor laksa for breakfast, pan mee for lunch and I feel guilty. Hehe!!

Woohooo!!! Back in Msia!!!
The flight back was great. Before flying off, was kacau-ing yingswan and nat the whole time. I just got so excited that I couldn't sit still or stay quiet. Hehehehe.... But thank goodness for the movies!! Pretty good ones too. Too many to choose from also. Watched 4 movies (The break up, poseidon, just my luck, the devil wears prada) and 1 cartoon (Strawberry Shortcake.. it's good ok.. strawberry shortcake is my fav when i was little).

The plane food was kinda sucky tho. Had a tummy upset. Came home, decided to cancel on mamak. Stayed home instead unpacking and figuring out how to set up the wireless internet on my laptop. Unsuccessful. Ohhh wellzzz.....

Slept at 12 something last night and aunt woke me up at 6 to go jogging. Surprisingly no jet lag for me. After jogging, had chee cheong fun and chee yok fun and kat chai shim moi for breakfast. MmMmMMMmm.... Afternoon, went for a haircut!! Finally, after 9 months!!!! Nothing spectacular. Looked like a school girl coz I told him I don't want layered anymore.

At night, went to gym with matt, swam for 30 mins then got chased out coz of lightning. So we went to gym again for another hour. Why? Coz I realized I'm so screwed for OKH and I have only one day to train for it. Last minute work doesn't work for sports. Haha!! After gym, went and swim again. Did a 50m fly and timing sucked. It's as slow as the very first time I started swimming. OMG!!!!!!! Quote matt:"you gonna die larrr... who ask u to take 6 events? 100 fly somemore. the problem is not you getting last, the problem is whether you can complete it!!!" Thanks man! thanks for being supportive...poof!!! But yea.. it's quite true. Can I even finish it? 50m fly is already killing me. 100m fly, confirm die!!! Man!! Gna be so embarassed. *sigh*

I'm leaving tomorrow. To seremban till Tuesday for OKH (swimming competition for those that do not know). I'm an idiot who's taking 6 events and haven't been swimming for 9 months. How smart!! If I managed to finish that 100m fly and not chicken out, I'll be proud of myself. And please!! I hope I do not get last for all the events!! At least a second to last placing for one lar... please please please!!!

Ok, sleeping time. Gna be 1 already. And I'm not packed for tmrw. Just finish unpacking all my stuff and now have to pack again. Sien sien sien.

I'm sleepy. 2 hours of sleep last night. I'm allowed 30 kgs. That's what stated in my ticket. So mom and dad kept on giving me more stuff to bring home. Hence it felt like I am packing non-stop. Slept at 6, woke up at 8. Cleaned my room, vacuum it. Now, it's neat and tidy (to my standard la...).

1st year of uni finished! Wow!!! It's gone by pretty fast. Still can't believe I've finished my first year. Feels just like yesterday I stepped into uni grounds, getting so lost. But yea...woohoo!!!!

2 kit kat chunky, 128g of wafers, 200g of dried mangoes, 200g of dried apples, 4 bars of cadbury brunch bar.
See!! Quite healthy!! wahahahaha!!! Didn't drink V or red bull, didn't eat that much choc.

I realized A lvls was a killer!!
Uni exams can't beat the A lvls. Well, first year uni exams that is.
During my study at the uni library, saw some college students doing CIE past papers. Wahahaha.. just one glance at it and I know it's THOSE papers. Arghh!! nightmare nightmare! What did I do? I laughed. Inside of course.. wahahhahaa.... i was telling myself "Thank goodness it's over for me!" Made me remembered of last year, worrying for the a lvls. Maths and chemistry especially. Scary scary thought. I even had a white-out just before my Chemistry exams. Was about to faint but didn't. Wanted to tho to feel how it's like. Haha! but yea... It was bad, it was horrible, it was a nightmare, but it's GONE!! nyehehehehe... pity all those doing their a lvls now, 1.5 months of exams. Crazy!!

I had time to relax
Go to the beach, go jogging and and.....no pimples!! wahahahaha!! ok ok, got neck pain but yea..... it's not as bad as last year. Heeeheee!! I went online everyday and even had time to surf the net. Wahahahhahaa!!!!

- Clean away my notes. I decided to keep them. Shall throw them away after I'm done with my course.
- Half packed my luggage back to Msia

Guy Fawkes Night

Guy Fawkes night. It isn't tonight. Stupid me. Last two years, it was on Saturday. Well, 2004 was on Friday but we went and lit fireworks on Saturday. Hence, I assumed this year would be on Saturday too. Every Nov 5, the road along eastern beach is blocked up, there's a few policemen and an ambulance on standby. This year, Saturday, I went down to the beach.... no police, no ambulance, not as many people as last year.

However, I still managed to witness some fireworks. I didn't light any fireworks this year, no time to buy, no mood, don't have the company. Hence, 2004 is still the most memorable year. The joy of starting the fireworks up and see it being lit up in the sky is undescribable. It's like... I created what's being lit up in the sky!!!! I started it!!! Eventhough it is smaller and not so grand, it still feels better and more satisfying. I like I like!!!

Though I did not light any fireworks this year, I still had fun seeing a whole bunch of people lighting theirs. It's still a great feeling watching those fireworks in the sky. Some are pretty impressive!!! And what do you get when small tiny little fireworks are combined together?

The whole stretch of the beach, from one end to the other end, have fireworks being lit up in the sky. Magical feeling. Just when you think it's over, someone would start lighting theirs. And it goes on and on. I was there for 2 hours and when I left, there's still fireworks going. On my way home, I saw some people walking carrying huge boxes of fireworks to be lit up.
Man!! Tomorrow night would be even bigger!! Police and ambulance, road block. AhhHhh!! Maybe I will just pop down for one hour... hehehehe.... then again, i already had my share today. I'm a happy girl =D

i saved on buying lunch by making my own sandwhich and bringing my own fruits. and so did caris! except smaller. haha! mine's the big one :D

own notes, textbook, course manual= can't see table..and i still came out feeling shitty with the i-think-i-can-actually-fail-this feeling on wednesday.

they were giving out free cans of juices on that day. how did two of us end up getting 3? go figure!

wednesday 1st- pinch and a punch on the first day of the month. yingswan actually set a reminder to do that on me but she still forgotten!!!
