i'm feeling a bit unusual this book out. while i think nothing actually changed, i'm feeling optimistic about stuff...music to be exact. inspired by the new uniform...or actually...triggered would probably be a better word, i wrote quite a few lines of words that i most satisfied with since 2009 began. no melody or music in my head to it yet. well...if it happens, i think its gonna be the most exciting thing for me this year...musically... to go so many many many months without coming up with something new... and if something finally comes out... i think i'll be the happiest i've been in months.
still feeling optimistic despite feeling like everyone's advancing and developing and moving ahead of me. hardly knows what's going on in the music scene or what my bandmates are talking about(when i do see them...which isn't often). while i'm still stagnant since my ns vocation was set. maybe entering the 2nd year of service subconsciously changed my mindset. i'm wallowing in less self pity now. feeling less frustrated over the whole songwriter can't write anything.
Imogen Heap's album is done!!!! should be out end august! most exciting cd release of the year!!! i've been waiting for this for a long time.
well..for the time being...YAWA still has to finish our bedroom version of A wish to... and its probably going to interest people who still have interest in us. i think for now it isn't sounding too bad. hopefully we'll get it done sooner rather than later.

bit and pieces of ideas are coming again.
but it takes something more to make me really excited about them, to accept them.
still leaves me back to square 1 maybe.
i do feel like a separate entity from stuff, even outside of music.
ns probably really kills too much of your brain.
need to find a way to pull the strings again... to feel connected again.

got my M-audio fast track pro. decided that the audio interface + logic 8 + melodyne + sm57 for as much or possibly less than the mbox 2 with ProTools 8 was a better deal.
so next up would be to get the logic 8 + melodyne from evan. beg/borrow/steal a sm57 and the birth of home lekording!! Clementi Road Studios. macbook pro justified.
One day i'm gonna buy the Clementi Arcade building and turn into Clementi Road Studios! muaahahha. The whole of asia will want to record there!!!!

finally considered alternatives to the mbox. if the mbox should prove too expensive for me, i will get:
1. audio interface, probably the m-audio $300+ one
2. logic and melodyne from evan? hur hur
3. sm57, mic stand and cable
all still cheaper den the mbox with protools 8. more for less...
den next up will be saving for a good headphone. huat ah huat ah!!!

cinematic orchestra was great. great music, great performance. a little too jazz for me but still a great show! love the drummer! and the coolest part of the band is that the leader plays the least. would watch them if they come again. anytime!
N*E*R*D was awesome! the whole gig was like a party. pharell is a great performer. high energy stuff throughout! the band was great too! 2 drummers, bloody tight! i wish i could play drums like a black man. more gospelchops.com hahaha....
inch made my day by saying she doesn't lend her guitar to just anyone. hur hur.
still trying to get in music making mode again. am excited by the prospects of what happens this time round.
