Yogurt and Cake

So Cade was pretty excited when I came home with "cake yogurts" from the store (just different flavors of yoplait yogurt). I hear him grab one out of the fridge and start to eat one. He runs into my room and says, "Hey! I opened up the yogurt- and there's not even any cake inside!" Warren and I are cracking up, "Cade, it's just cake flavored yogurt. Does it taste like cake?" He replies, "It does not taste like cake, and it's not even yummy!" So preturbed by the false advertising. :)

Rocks from Rodeo Beach

When scattered Gram and Papa's ashes, we picked up a bunch of rocks from the beach. I showed the kids this afternoon, and they were all very excited to play with them and see their pretty colors when they got wet again. So far it's provided over an hour of entertainment! I love how Hallie ran over, and peeked over the edge of the table to be in the picture. :)

Sick Lady

We had a little scare with Hallie this weekend. She had a nasty bout of croup. Thanks to steroids and breathing treatments, and hours of being awake holding her upright in the night, she is on the mend!

Beat the Parents

So Luke got this fun game called "Beat the Parents" for his birthday. It's a trivia game for families. I loved Jakey's answers to a couple of the questions.

Q: What is ketchup made of?
Jakey A: Hotdogs!

Q: Who was the first man to walk on the moon?
Jakey A: Jesus!

Q: What is the hardest substance on earth?
Jakey A: Butterflies!

I love this kid.

Happy Birthday, Lukey!

I can hardly believe this boy is 6 years old!
Birthday breakfast of German pancakes, sausage and smoothies
Lego birthday party- Mom even did her best to make a lego cake
Pinterest made the cake decorating look a lot easier than it is!
 Fun with his buddies
 The party helpers

A visit to the mall afterwards to spend some of that birthday cash!

Not so sure about this carousel...

Lego crazy

These kiddos have been having so much fun with legos lately. That seems all they can think about it. After a full day of creating, they begged me to let them stay set up on the table. So we pulled out the old cardtable for dinner time. And the obsession continues... :) I'm just glad they're doing something creative!

4th of July 2012

We had a fun filled 4th! We started the day off with a bang doing a round at Top Golf, then we headed over to the pool to work off some more energy. For dinner we had fun company- the missionaries and some old friends from CA. It was such a treat to visit with them!
By the time it came to go to the fireworks, I was exhausted. I told Warren I just didn't have it in me to pack up all the kids, drive 30 minutes, watch the show, drive all the way home- arriving around midnight or so. So to the disappointment of the children, we watched the fireworks on TV with some popcorn. I think they still had some fun dancing to the music and marching to the patriotic tunes.

This girl loves to cheese for the camera- cracks me up!

Thanks for the awesome trip, Pops, Aunt Jen and Uncle Dan!

House of Prime Rib

I will crave this place every day of my life. This Prime Rib melts in your mouth! We stuffed ourselves to the hilt, but it was so delicious! Uncle Dan had to make reservations in January to get us in. So worth it! Thanks, Uncle Dan! It was wonderful! I wish I would've gotten a picture of Aunt Mini in her fabulous chinese outfit....if anyone has one, let me know!
