August
So since I am so far behind on updating my blog I am going to take it one month at a time so here we go.
August:
We went to Las Vegas for my little sister Haley's sealing. Now keep in mind that I was 8 months pregnant and the weather that time of year is in the 100's so it was not a pleasant thing for me. We spent the days sitting in the shade at the pool and did some walking around at night. Even when the sun goes down it was still high 80's to low 90's.

We also did our anual Quad trip to eastern washington. Heather has her own Quad this year so she had a great time blasting around with the other kids.

May, June and July
Back in August while on a camping trip I attempted to take some pictures when I realized the memory card was full so I started deleting pictures that were already down loaded and some how in one foul swoop I deleted the whole memory card so there are no pictures from these months.
May:
We usually starting our camping season with a trip over to Eastern Washington for Memorial Day but this year our first trip was to Leavenworth the begin of May. Now in years past we usually do this trip in June but decided to change it up and try it in May. We learned our lesson to never camp at our favorite place until after Memorial Day weekend. It rained the Friday we got there and then Saturday night and Sunday morning as we were packing up. The pool wasn't open and come to find out doesn't typically open until Memorial Day weekend (things that would have been nice to know when I booked it). It is tradition to at least walk the streets of Leavenworth and look in the shops and luckily the weather on Saturday day was nice enough to-do that. One plus of camping there in May was we were the only ones in the campground.
Memorial Day weekend I had to work so Jason took the kids over to his parents in Eastern Washington. They loaded up the trailer with the quads and away they went. This was the first trip for Heather with her new quad and of course she loved it and did really well riding it.
June:
The Weekend after Memorial Day marks our annual family camping trip to the coast. We have varied in years past on where we would go but in the last few years we have settled on a very nice place called Cape Disappointment (don't let the name fool you). This is a state park on the Washington coast in a town called Illwaco. It is on the very tip where the Washington and Oregon boarders are at the mouth of the Colombia. In years past the weather can be a little questionable since we go there the weekend after Memorial Day and it is Washington so you never know what kind of weather you are going to get. This year the weather was spectacular for two out of the three days we were there. We had sunny warm weather on Friday and Saturday then the rain came on Sunday. We took advantage of the rain on Sunday and decided to travel up the Oregon coast and visit the Tillamook cheese factor. It has been some time since we have been to the Tillamook cheese factor and in fact our kids didn't even remember it but how can you blame then Adeline wasn’t born yet and Heather was just a toddler. The factory itself is nothing spectacular so you might ask why do you travel all that way, well you see we really go for the giant beef sticks, cheese curds and ice cream of course. Unfortunately when we arrived there it was later in the day and there were no workers working on cheese and they were out of cheese curds but all was not lost we still got our beef sticks and ice cream. Over all it was a fun camping trip and as always we enjoyed playing in the sand and walking along the beach.
The weekend of June 14th is our anniversary and it has become a tradition that Jason and I drop the kids off with his parents and we go over to Moses Lake and play at the sand dunes. This year we did that again but Jason played at the dunes and I stayed back at camp and read a book in the sunshine due to my delicate condition I didn't think riding a quad on the dunes was the smartest thing a pregnant lady could do. unfortunately I think this trip to the dunes alone because once Heather found out what were doing she got mad at us and said next year she wanted to go play at the dunes.
July:
In July we typical do a group camping trip with our riding friends to tahuya. This is a riding area with lots of trails. Typically the husbands and wives take turns going out on rides but this year there was no riding for me. The girls always have a good time because there are lots of other kids to play with. This was the real first trip for heather and her Quad. She was a little mellow on the trails at first and then she became more comfortable on her quad and really started enjoying herself.

Disneyland day three, four and five
So it has been awhile since I have blogged and I have no good excuse other than just being busy with work and life. So here are the rest of disneyland pictures (not all of them of course that would way too many).
One of the many parades that disneyland has.
One very happy girl skipping through Disneyland and one not so happy girl who thinks there is way to much walking at this place.
Waiting in line for the 3D toy story ride
The girls waiting for dinner at Ariel's place

disneyland day one & two
So for spring break this year we surprised the kids with a trip to Disneyland. It has been four years since our last trip there, Adeline was one and Heather was 3 1/2. This time we decided to spend five days in the park instead of three. We got a really good deal on a kid suite at the Hyatt about a mile from the park. The last time we went we stayed in one of the resort hotels, it was ok but since we were going to be there for so long I wanted separate sleeping areas for the kids. It was a great deal at a really nice hotel.
On our first day we arrived around noon dropped our stuff off at the hotel and since our room wasn't ready yet we hopped on the free shuttle from the hotel and headed to the park. The camera was left with our luggage so I didn't get any pictures of us in the park the first day. When we arrived back to the hotel we got up to our room and started to unpack and then all of a sudden the room started shaking we were in the middle of an earth quake. The girls had never been part of one before so as we have always been taught we grabbed them and stood in the doorways. It seemed like it went on forever but since we were on the 7th floor we swayed for a couple minutes before it actually calmed down. The girls were a little freaked out by it but reassured them it was ok.
Here are a couple pictures of our room. The first is the view from the girls section and the second is from the grown up section. There were bunk beds in one area that was separated from the king bed by french doors.
This is day number two. Here are the girls in the lobby of the hotel waiting for the shuttle to the park. Yes they have rain coats on because that morning we got rained on. In typical Californian weather the rain came and went and the sun was out before lunch and we were able to peel off our rain coats and sweatshirts.
Here is Heather and Jason on there first of five times on the California screamer. This was Heather's favorite ride of the whole park. Unfortunately Adeline wasn't tall enough to go on and of course me being pregnant we sat on the side lines and watched them go on it.

Easter
Every year we go to the local Easter egg hunt (which is eggs all over a open field so it's really not a hunt). As it typically is in Washington it was cold and wet. We normally go to the parade after wards but it was to cold this year so we decided it would be best to go home and plan for spring break trip to Disneyland!!!
Adeline's 5th birthday
Adeline turned 5 on March 11th and she shares a very special anniversary with our family. One year ago on her 4th birthday my mother passed away. Since it was the one year anniversary of her death we went to Bellingham to be with family and friends. Adeline was able to have a great 5ht birthday with all the family surrounding her.
It's hard to believe that she is five years and will be starting kindergarten in the fall.
