Morning Walk

I caught up with the WIN's in Sequim WA. A beautiful small town where lavender grows in abundance. The even have a lavender festival in July. One of the things I love about the Northwest cost are the oyster farms. Serenity stops at all of them. I picked up a quart of these delicious little mollusks at Hama Hama.

The patio was closed, but the store was open.

We had a great 2.5 mile walk along the discovery trail. Here at the Dungeness River they incorporated the old railroad bridge into the trail. Walking partners Adrienne Joanne and Diana

Eagle Lake

I am heading north on 395 seeking cooler weather.

A quiet spot for the night. Looks like I could get a few sprinkles.

I love the lichen's color and pattern.

Threat of rain transitioned into a gorgeous sunset.

Electrical Problms

I need to be checking my batteries with greater frequency. The back two batteries have to be removed for cleaning and maintenance. I neglected do so because they are so difficult to remove. But when power started failing, I had too.

I found the source of my electrical problem. Corrosion run amuck.

New end from the missing terminal lug.

Cleaned up all the cables with my trusty dremel tool.

Ready to reinstall.  The two corroded batteries failed the load test and where replaced. Hopefully the green and red anti corrosion pads will help prevent future corrosion .

Everyone back home.   Success

And all successful job require a blood sacrifice to the repair god.

Ceiling Patterns

We went out with some of Cliff's friends for a casino breakfast. Think cheap, $4, but good. Two eggs, hash browns, two sausages and toast. I became intrigued by the ceiling reflections.

On the Road Again

It was hot and a little pool time felt just right. Rachel attempting to ride the bucking T-Rex

We went over the hill to Monterey Bay. Lunch at Phil's, one of my favorite sea food stops. They catch'em, sell'em and serve'em.

The food was so enticing, I forgot to take photos. I alway have the calamari appetizer. It is large platter of squid straight up, no sides to get in the way of a delicious meal.

Next we visited the aquarium. My son has a membership, so stopping by for an hour or two is easy. No lines, no hassles. Wonderful day with my family.

I am headed over the Sierra's to visit my friend Cliff in Carson City, NV

It is great to be back on the road again. Sing it Willie.

Cliff and I enjoyed the antique engine fair.
Really beautifully restored cars.

This old two cycle does not have an electric starter.

Great old engines. They all run.
