It's been a while since I updated this blog of mine
The last time was 4 weeks to my new job
and now it's been 4 months~!
I mentioned to the HR personnel who hired me how time has fly in this place.

In retrospective, the last 4 months have been great.
No mc was taken as my sister observed
No leave has yet to be taken too.
Some projects have been shouldered,
though times can be tough,
in the end, it was appreciated by the boss and the boss' boss.
The colleagues are also nice
with the exception of the gold digger who left the company.
good riddance i must say!
I have lots of brothers looking out for me now.
My true self - silly, giggly, witty
has sort of surfaced in this new place too!

outside work, sunday class has come to an end for the year
no more kiddos to attend to.
but i have my very own nephew who is growing up so fast...
he is so smart that even though he can't really say a string of words,
he can answer me "baaa" for bus "brrombroom" for car "chootchoot" for train, etc
i have promised myself to spend more time with this little boy.

in 1.5 weeks' time, I will be exploring the roads of Cambodia..
very excited to finally be adventurous again!!
it has been 2 years since that adventurous self was cocooned by none other than WORK.
in December, it is off to KL with the choir peeps.
it would be the first timer that we are travelling together after 8 years of friendship.
I can't wait for 2009 when my travelling prophecy will come true.
Meanwhile, I better be more thrifty in my everyday spending.

All righty, I better go now for a haircut cause I can't stand how my hair looks right now.

a new me?

i can't believe that i am saying this
but going on to my 4th week of week
i am still feeling excited to come to work
including getting up at 7 on the dot
and leaving the house to reach office at 9 sharp.
though colleagues are a total change to my previous job
it's still getting on quite well.
as mentioned before...
the exciting part is having a boss that's cute and young
high spirited and sadly workacholic
i really admire how he is able to keep track
the going on of so many things
without having his meals at time..
will take some time for me to be like that..
oh well, i am really glad to be in the position that i am in now
though i still miss the long lunches and coming in late priveleges of previous job.

I had a great today.

Finally being able to take a real day off from work, shopping in the day time, having my own me-time and having a ball of a time with my sis during her lunch time and after-work.

Since I haven't had the chance to do any shopping in the so-called Great sale, I had my opportunity to join the crowd today. Boo to the kiddos who are infiltrating Orchard Road in this school holiday.

And after walking non stop for almost 7 hours or more, I have only this to say to myself "STOP buying bottoms!!" today alone, I bought 3 skirts and 1 top. argghh!! too many nice bottoms these days...I must start buying tops to match these bottoms... I hope I will be able to find the tops in the next couple of days that I am continuing my shopping spree.

In the words of a fashionista, "It is time for a wardrobe overhaul!!"

In the words of the financial controller in me, "Moolah please come in to support the shopaholic in me!!"

time to have a beauty sleep and look forward to my probable last engagement tomorrow.

the sms that was sent to some of the best people who have came into my life
over the past 2 years or so was
"i'm sorry. i've to say goodbye"
and the reactions that i received was overwhelming
at one point in time, i was thinking if i have made a rash decision
however, the more i talk about it,
the more i am sure that it was a matter of time

yes, i may be able to learn more in the next few years or so
but opportunities don't come knocking at your door everytime
especially opportunities of working for someone cute
*bimbo giggle*

perhaps some may think that i am running away
or that i cannot take hardships
-whatever-
i don't really care what people think
this is my life after all
life is all about enjoying, ain't it?

and so.. one more month, baby!!
i feel liberated as of 4 June 2008

work has been bad lately and the feeling that i am having now is
"I just want to get things done and over with"!!
a lot of resentments on this whole engagement
but the ever weirdest thing is when the client offered me a position.
that's so funny.
And so i imitated his behaviour when i asked him for documents
"why you need it for?" "immaterial lah, don't need to see"
I don't know if he was offended
but i DON'T GIVE A DAMN.

parents are coming back again...
and the next few weekends are going to be busy.
camerahunting.parents-teacher meeting.bintan trip.1st birthday.
and perhaps squeezing a week back home when 31stmarch is done and over with.
i just want to LAZE AROUND and DOING NOTHING
absolutely yearning for it.

waiting for the rain to shop and i can start running my errands.

cause i like the simple story in the show...

suddenly, i feel like typing some words into my almost non existent blog
and i just wanna say that "I am feeling the beat"!!
i just want to get the tasks at hand done and over with!!

and so it's another CNY that we would have in a few more days...
parents are coming to town tomorrow,
a day earlier than scheduled cause
there's non-stop rain and heavy flooding over in Jakarta..
gosh!! the inevitable global warming is making the weather haywired..
now, it's also raining heavily outside...

it's going to be quite a long CNY holidays this year..
with the 2 days falling on a Thursday and Friday,
which means, it's a longgg weekend next week!!
In view of having no relatives and all,
the sis and I have planned places to visit.
If the weather permits, we hope to be a tourist for day to visit
Flower 2008 in Sentosa!! haha

the first 2 weeks of january

has been nothing but GREAT!!!

been meeting up with old pals..uni friends, jc friends, colleagues...
had a great laugh over silly things,
talked about the past, gossiped about current happenings..
ate quite a bit, drank quite a bit, waist line expanding quite a bit too...
hope in 2008, i would be able to meet up with these people more often...

but this year itself seems to present me with more travelling opportunities..
first up on the calendar would be hongkong, the land of dimsum, for work..
finally i get to go somewhere for work,
albeit the apprehension about going a new place alone
but my dear pal, J*n, told me "you've been to US alone, what's hk for you?"
thank you so much for the reminder, my pal,
that i am capable of conquering a new place myself....
sometimes we just need that nudge from someone..

mid year i am heading to the south for a huge catholic youth gathering,
also known as World Youth Day.
It's going to be fantastic meeting up with the Pope..
hope in between these 2 travel plans, i can squeeze in a diving trip with the girls,
a trip with the colleagues, a trip to Bali with the cousins and wherever else that i can go!!

on another side of my life, i have been given a challenge to teach primary one kiddos in church!!
the last 2 years it has been okay with the p2s and p3s,
at least they have some basic knowledge of what was taught..
but with p1s, it's going to be teaching the basic of everything!!
God has present me with this challenge this year and i am going forth!!
i can't wait to hear "teacher, teacher!!" in this coming saturday..
just hope none would cry when i teach them..

i am feeling the beat of 2008 and i know this is going to be a great year!!

it's the start of a new year...
time check. now is 2008!!!
i'm fully excited about this coming year and
am expecting a great year ahead...

started off the year with a great companion,
bottles of wine, chips and fully utilized goodybag.
managed to get a glimpse of the fireworks...

went home to call up the parents and the sis...
heart was throbbing quite fast
was tired but didn't manage to fall asleep till 3
woke up and it's a new day, a new year!!

may 2008 be a great year for my career, my family,

my friendships, my weight, my savings, my lovelife!!
