Bedhead

All I could say to this was, "Wow, where is my camera?" A picture really is worth a thousand (maybe a million in this case) words.

Waiting for a new cousin

These two fun little boys were so happy to be getting a cousin (either that or the fact that they got to have fast-food for breakfast) :) Caden asked me when we got to the hospital, "(gasp) Is Uncle Jason a doctor now??" He was really impressed that his uncle was going to deliver a baby :) I was impressed with how nice Caden was to Rowan and how interested he was in watching her. He said of Rowan, "Oh, mommy, she's SO cute!" Love the things that kids say!
Note: Did you see Dexter's amazing drool?? Apparently, he loves BK's Cinna-mini's.

Rowan Olivia Whittington

So, yesterday, my big brother, Jason and his sweet wife, Ro, welcomed a beautiful baby GIRL!! We are SO happy for them, and SO surprised that they had a girl. The entire time Ro was pregnant, she said it was a boy--she had lots of dreams with a boy, none with a girl...hence, the reason they thought it was a boy (even Jason had dreams of a boy).
Needless to say, that I was THRILLED to find out they had a little girl! They named her Rowan Olivia Whittington. She weighed 8lbs. 2 oz, and was 20 inches long. She is beautiful! Her nose is SO cute!
They had a long day at the hospital yesterday. Rowan only gave one little cry right after she was born, and appears to have Ro's calm temperment. She slept a lot last night. We were all surprised to see how light Rowan's hair was (we all expected lots of dark hair like Ro's)...but, you can tell by this next picture that Rowan's hair is a light brown (at least for now :).
I am completely smitten with this beautiful little girl and am SO glad to have a neice on my side of the family! Good job, Ro & Jas! We love you guys!

Thanks for your reply's

So far the responses have expressed a lack of love for waiting. In response to that we have completely eliminated paperwork and now bring people back and do the questions interview style. No one waits more than 10 minutes past their appointment time to be seen. It's easy to do now but I hope to continue that policy even when we are busier.

The Great Juggling Act

Dear Busy Mothers,
I seriously feel like this lady--only she is better dressed and much calmer than I. The last few weeks have been crazy! No need to gripe about it all, but I am definitely exhausted. To all of you working mothers out there, I tip my hat to you! How do you do it?
Admiringly confused,
Courtney Wallace
