A bad weather day rescued!!

After a lovely walk across the Arrans in awful weather, the rain and clag lifted back at the car, and a delightful stretch of the Afon Twrch had me reaching for the camera

Tiger

I have been lucky to have quite a few of my photos painted in various guises by some talented artists, but this reproduction of a recent photo of one of the Tigers at Chester Zoo by Sharon Whitley is stunning!

A gloomy Martin Mere

As i was passing Martin Mere at the weekend, i called in to see if there was any sign of the Whooper Swans returning from Iceland, sadly there was only a few early arrivals, and the gloomy drizzly weather meant not a great photography day, but still managed a few shots

They reckon there are 12,000 Pink Footed Geese on the reserve at the moment, lots about on my visit, coming in to feed on the spuds!

I counted six Whoopers in total, but i am sure they will be arriving in great numbers fairly soon

Trotters World of Animals

A few shots from my recent trip to a beautiful little wildlife park, called Trotters World of Animals which is located near Bassenthwaite in the Lakes. Here they have a small selection of various domestic and exotic, but what really caught my attention was the Birds of Prey and the flying demonstraion.

More recent out and about shots

The wildlife photography seems to have taken a back seat more recently as I have been out and about walking a bit more, below are some shots from my late summer wanderings
