We took Nathan a little over a week ago to get his hair cut for the first time. We took a lot more pics but blogger is being weird..so these will have to do. Lets just say...that he HATED it!! But she gave him a sucker afterwards and we sat there while he ate it. He LOVED that part. LOl. I absolutely love the last pic with the drool hanging down. Nothing like capturing the moment.

My husbands latest undertaking...was hillarious to watch....
I am sharing these pictures with the permission of my husband....at least I think I have his permission. Lol. Jk...I do have permission to post these. On the 5th of May.....my dear husband decided to take up the Taco Del Mar challenge......TO EAT A 5 LB BURRITO IN 30 MIN OR LESS..and if you did so you got a $20 gift card. Taco Del Mars' normal mondo burrito comes with one large flour tortilla and 1 scoop of everything else. It is huge and I dont think I could even eat it all at once. This 5 lb burrito came with 4 of the big tortillas overlayed just slightly and 5 scoops of everything!!! I have to say that watching him was so funny...we had such a fun time. The place that we went was so packed...but no was was trying the burrito challenge at the time and not one had tried yet. He got started and the whole restaurant was cheering him on....including the staff. The staff along with strangers were taking pictures. When he was about 1/2 the way done a group of 6 army/air force guys (and 1 gal) came in to take on the challenge. And then the smack talk began...my husband being navy and them being army/airforce. All in good fun of course. That burrito was huuuuge...and nasty!! They put these big paper things on the table because obviously it would be messy. When he started, Josh had just set the burrito up on end on the table and got to work shoving it in. Oh it was soooooo funny. All the meat and rice piled in the bottom of the burrito...and when he got to that part of course he was getting full. The atmosphere in the place was so fun. Our kids were even taking pictures and laughing and cheering him on along with everyone else. IN ABOUT 19 MINUTES..HE HAD THE ENTIRE BURRITO GONE!!!!! We stayed as the other guys worked on theirs..but......none of them finished it. Not one of them were able to finish. At my husbands expense of being stuffed and feeling blah...we had such a fun hour. Never did I think we could have so much fun watching someone eat a 5 lb burrito as fast as they could.
( I downloaded the pictures in order..but blogger for whatever reason mixed them all up...so they are NOT in order. Oh well though..you can see some of them still.)

"You Da Best Mom".....
A couple days ago, Isaac who is 2 came up to me while I was sitting on the couch, looked at me, and paused for a second. He then blurts "You da best mom". It took me a minute to register what he was saying. But those 4 words just blessed my heart. I didnt know he would/could even come up with something like that. By no means am I the best mom...but to him I am...and that he would even think to say something like that....made me grateful and happy momma. Over the last few days I have heard it on severa occassions now....and I love hearing him say it every time....but that very first time he said that......was toooo sweet.
The kids and I have been spending a lot of time continuing to read throught the book of proverbs...and soon will be starting the book of Matthew as a family. We have continued to learn more about the missionary Gladys Aylward. We are going to be starting to study about a new missionary soon. The missionary biography set that we bought has been a blessing to our family
