We had our annual trunk or treat at church on Saturday night. Both Macy and Kamryn were excited to get into their costumes. Jeremy and I dressed up too! We were "high school sweethearts". Earlier in the day Kamryn helped me decorate cupcakes with spider webs on top and a spider candy in the middle. Luckily Kamryn won a plate of goodies during the cake walk so we got to try out our cupcakes we made. She had a good time teaching Macy how to trick-or-treat too. After the cake walk Kamryn wanted to go back to the car to pass out candy. We had fun and can't wait for Halloween now!

New sleeping arrangements
Yesterday was a big change in our house. Macy was supposed to be taking a nap and Jeremy was eating his lunch upstairs in the loft (thankfully). All of a sudden Macy comes walking out towards him with a big smile on her face. I guess she was pretty proud of herself for successfully climbing out of her crib. So I quickly took some pictures of her room before we took down her crib and set up her toddler bed. I guess I just wasn't expecting it to happen so soon, so I am a little sad that the crib is no longer there. Luckily she was tired enough last night that she fell asleep pretty soon after Jeremy started rubbing her belly and today she is asleep in her bed taking a nap. I hope this is an easy transition for all of us.

Fall family field trip
This past Saturday we got to go on a family field trip with Kamryn's class. We drove up to Julian. We though it was only a 45 minute drive but it ended up being an hour and a half. And it was a pretty windy road, we were getting a little car sick! Once we got there we had a good time. First we went apple picking at an apple orchard. Kamryn has been learning about Johnny Appleseed in school, so she thought this was pretty neat. We have a bag full of apples now. Then we went and ate lunch with her friend Dallin and his family. We brought home a really yummy peach apple crumb pie. After that we headed over to the pumpkin patch. They had a corn canon that was pretty noisy and Macy was scared of it so she wasn't too happy when we were out in the pumpkin patch but once we got inside the building she was better. We got to see some different animals there too. They had pigs, ponies, donkeys and even a zebra! We had a good time, but it was a long day!

Museums
While Kamryn was on fall break we went with a group of our friends to 3 different museums. First we went to a railroad museum. The kids had a good time watching the trains and they happen to have a Tehachapi train for the Tehachapi Loop. I made Kamryn stand by the sign, but she wasn't too happy about it. The next picture is supposed to be the Tehachapi mountains behind Kamryn.
After that we went to the natural history museum and saw dinosaurs, sharks and elephants. The kids had fun drawing a picture of a dinosaur.
Our last stop was the Science museum. It is a great place for the kids to play and have fun. Macy had fun putting the balls in a vacuum tube and watching them go up and then pop back out again. She liked sitting on the coveyor belt and driving a car too!
