No More YUCKY Eye

After having his tear duct probed in November it was quickly back to stopping up again. So we finally decided to do the surgery and have dr. Hidagi insert a tube to help his eye drain. Of course we all freaked out over him having to be put to sleep and have surgery, but it couldn't have went any better. Aunt Leigh met us at the LeBoneur Surgery Center bright and early. We were thoroughly informed on the process and felt great letting him go back. After a trip down the bunny tunnel he was off to surgery. My sweet boy looked back at us and smiled and went right on with the nurse. Forty-five minutes later we were able to go wait for recovery. He was waking up when we got to see him and a little groggy. I sat and held him while he drank his juice and stared at me. Then after a little fussing and fighting it, he was completely awake and back to normal happy Jack.

Palmer got to go to lunch with Huh and Nanny while we brought Jack home and got him situated.

Adjusting to our new life...

Life lately has been one big huge CHANGE. Pretty much nothing is the same. However we are all stepping up and making it work. Chubs comes over a couple times a week for dinner and playtime and the kids have been to his house every Saturday for the last few weeks. He has braved them both over night 3 times now and done a wonderful job. Boogie trained him well and he loves my babies just as much as she did. They keep him smiling. : )  We have survived Palmer having two double ear infections since starting JuJu's and even made it through two days of JuJu being sick during the week. Thankfully Tanner isn't too busy this time of year and my mom was able to help too. So far the kids love JuJu's house and that makes it so much easier for Mommy. Palmer hasn't cried once when I drop her off. She struggles with nap time but only because it's a little different than Boogie laying down with her everyday but she is starting to get the hang of it. Juju is such a blessing and I feel like we couldn't have found anyone better. I love being able to sit down and chit chat with her when I pick them up. It makes its so much more personable than just a daycare drop off.
Mommy is really having to step it up lately too. I feel like I work more at home every afternoon than I do at school. I'm not used to coming home and cleaning up, packing bags, doing all the laundry, and giving baths. (Yes I was that spoiled.) it's all falling into place though and I think a routine is getting somewhat started now. Everything in this house reminds me of her. Everywhere I turn there is something she made, hung up, decorated, or gave us. We are so blessed to have here with us in our home and hopefully we will continue to find little things that remind us of her everywhere we go.

Valentine's Fun

Thank goodness my planning and lunch is right around the time that all the fun things happen at MPNS. Lately I have been able to run over and enjoy some of the fun. Palmer was actually very excited to have me at her Vday party and got to show me all of her favorite toys. I had so much fun sitting on the carpet with her class and talking toddler talk. They even felt the need to tell me all about how Palmer's Boogie had passed away and went to heaven. It was precious to hear the concern in their voices for their sweet classmate. I wish life was a simple for adults as it is through the eyes of a child.

Fashionista

Lately everything has been about fashion with Miss Thang. Every single thing we put on her has to fit into her fashionista category. She will actually throw a huge fit and run in the other room to take it off if she doesn't approve. This even applies to pajamas! It is a hot mess!! She tells me all the time that my clothes are not fashionista, especially my tennis shoes.  Who knows... Maybe she will be a fashion designer one day.

She is obsessed with making dresses out of my scraps.

She said this was not a fashionista dress but she would wear it JUsT to school!!

9 Months

Big Jack is growing up so fast. He is the big 9 months and almost eating us out of house and home. His favorites are mac and cheese, grapes, spaghetti, and pancakes. He is pulling up on everything and walks around the coffee table holding on but hasn't mastered standing just yet. He is super super busy!! He never ever sits still and runs for the toilet every time he catches the door open. He is obsessed with water and loves to unroll the toilet paper. He is sleeping all night long every night and beginning to nap for at least an hour a day now. (Thanks to JuJu and her swaddling idea!!) This is huge coming from not napping at all during the day. However, at least we are sleeping through the night that's the most important. He still laughs and smiles nonstop especially if PALMER is anywhere near him. He watches her like a hawk and loves her so much. He plays with all of her toys which drives her crazy and is obsessed with her Frozen vanity that lights up and sings. He is wearing mostly 12 months outfits and a size 4 shoe. He is really loving JuJu's house and all his buddies there. Overall mommas baby boy is changing and growing everyday. Only a few more months before the BIG ONE!

Letting the sweet girls pull him around the house in that pink wagon!!

Super Bowl party fun!!!
