Too Much to be Thankful For

My blog has been acting crazy and would not let me upload pictures for the last month. Thank goodness it is working again. I am SO BEHIND! We spent Thanksgiving Day at my grandmother's house as usual. It was beautiful outside and everyone enjoyed watching MP run around the yard. Good thing she is the only baby because she is pretty used to being the center of attention.

15 Months of PURE ENERGETIC FUN!

My big girls weighs 22 pounds and is 29 inches long. This time she got to stand on the scale and height chart instead of lying down. This was a major stepping stone and I know that MP was much happier than usual. 

Last happy shot . After this she got 3 nasty shots. I always leave the room for these, but this time it was just us two so I had to stay. UGH!! Glad this is over. She screamed for a few minutes and was telling all the nurses her animal sounds 10 minutes later.

On the way home I stopped to see McKenzie for a sinus cocktail. This was my first trip to Rosemark Family Medicine and I loved it. I know MP did because McKEnzie gave her a sucker for the very first time. She didn't even know how to eat it... She was rubbing it on her lips like lipstick! Once she got the hang of it she was a HOT STICKY MESS! Thanks McKenzie

Fishy, fishy... Yes P it's a fishy but it's pretty and we can't break it.

Tractor... Daddy... Yes P it's a tractor but PLEASE put it back and don't touch Daddy's tree... PLEASE

Then she insists on pushing the tractor around on the floor making the tractor noise. I give up.

By this point I am freaking OUT. This is only the first tree I have gotten out and she is into everything. I finally decided it was time to take a break to get some lunch and go check out the real tree selection at Walmart for my bedroom... (I know.. can barely get this one up and I'm thinking about the next). 

P enjoying her french fries... I know they are not the healthiest lunch but she will eat everyone of them and when you only eat sausage and fruit it is a nice treat. 

Later that night Tanner and I were sitting around watching tv with Kerry Ann and I noticed P had walked behind the couch. When I went to check on her this is what I found......

Her and her baby just looking.... No touching.... Just like Mommy told her. Of course my heart melted and I knew right then that we were going to survive this decorative season after all. This has happened more than once and I know it is God's way of saying.. Hey Mom.. It's okay. Several months ago I had a bad cold and MP was full of energy. Tanner was in the field and it was just the two of us. I was so ill and tired and all I wanted to do way take a nap. NO nap for MP though she wanted to play all day long. So I played and played and PLAYED... until bed time. I put her in her crib and she sat up looking around. I knew that this meant she was not going to bed because she always goes straight to sleep. By the time I got to my room and in bed I heard something on the monitor. My precious gift from God was singing herself to sleep with her lullabies. : ) She sang Mommy to sleep too. 

Then she starts with the fishy again... We made a deal. She can touch that one blue and yellow fish and THAT IS IT! So far she is only touching the fish and I'm pretty sure she puts it in a new spot every time she returns it... but hey it works for me.

Wakefield Thanksgiving

  We hardly ever get together with the Wakefields for Thanksgiving. This year Tanner insisted that we make it happen. Whitney and the girls had already planned to come visit for the weekend so it worked out perfectly. MP had a blast playing with Whit, Tyler, and the girls all weekend... especially Allie Reeves.  They are perfect together and I could get used to having such a great helper around. We really missed Lisa and Alan and are hoping that she makes it back for her weekly visits very soon. 

Friday night when Whitney, Allie, Rae, & Tyler got here MP was busy

Saturday I took Allie and MP to Kroger and to visit Anna Laura on the square for cupcakes.
