Memorial Weekend

After my last day of school Friday we headed to Sardis for a long weekend. I was really worried about how MP would do on the water all day at 90 something degrees, but she did great. Friday and Saturday she played in the sand and her pool the whole time. She was even a big girl with Sonni and Hartley and didn't cry every time they got in the pool with her. She even took a couple really good naps on the boat. I took her out in the water with her float a few times and she wanted nothing to do with that dirty water. On Sunday it was so HOT! She was a little fussy and it took me forever to get her to nap, but after that she was good to go. We spent the rest of the weekend eating WAY too good and hanging out.
Monday morning we headed home after breakfast to start to my summer break. Boogie and Chubs were here waiting on her and she went to spend the day with them while I washed what seemed like a million clothes and even took a NAP. This week I am determined to get on somewhat of a nap schedule. I am shooting for 9 and 2ish naps. So far, MP sleeps whenever she feels like it and we have all been fine with that, but now Mommy is home and needs a LITTLE mommy time. Yesterday we fussed for over 2 hours and wanted nothing to do with that 9am nap. KK came over and snuggled in the chair with her and she went right to sleep. Imagine that! Today I put her in her bed and turned the ipad on Taylor Swift and after 20 minutes of fussing/playing she is snoozing.

The Farmer's Daughter

While I was at work I got this picture and it was the most precious thing I have ever seen.

Last week Lynn took MP for her very first tractor ride. He had been working late
and hadn't gotten to see her much for a few days and wanted her to come visit.

I can definitely say that I have fallen in love with
the Farmer and his Daughter!

Last Week of School

We had lots of things going on the last week of school. I am so glad to be OUT for the summer. Here are a few pictures from our adventurous week.

Sunday night all the Wakefield's went to Jan and Johnny's for dinner.
The girls had a big time playing on the patio.

They are finally getting along much better.

She loves puppies and has to touch them all.

Splashing around in her birthday suit.

Check out those curls!!

Drying off with Daddy

Snuggling with KK

MP and I went for Ice Cream with one of my Pen pals Jaiden. She was
just as precious as I had thought after writing her all year.

Playing with her books at Nanny's house for dinner Monday night

Rocking with Elmo at Boogie's house for dinner Tuesday night.

Swimming with Anderson and Caroline

Thursday I said ADIOS to my kiddos. For the most part I was ready for this year to be over, but I was not happy to see this boy get on the bus for the last time. My most favorite student off all time is off to High School. CMS will never be the same without this wild child.

MP got her toes painted just in time for a long weekend at Sardis.

9 months

My baby girl is 9 months old and such a little busy body. She is constantly jabbering to everyone and into EVERYTHING. I think this is by far the most entertaining age yet. Her personality is hilarious. She smiles 24/7 and the second she doesn't get her way she sticks her lip out and cries.

At 9 Months MP is:
17.6 pounds and 26 1/2 inches long
Still working on her 3rd tooth and chewing on anything she can get in her mouth
Jabbering all day long... Sometimes she can say Dada, Puppy, and Bye Bye
Clapping her hands especially if you say Patty Cake
Trying her best to snap her fingers
Starting to dance
Drinking all kinds of juice from her sippy cup
Beating her blocks together
Playing with her toys especially her books
Loves to smile for the camera
Sitting up watching tv and playing in her new high chair
Sleeping all night upstairs in her own bed
Obsessed with Blue's Clues, Backyardigan's, and Bubble Guppies
She gets super excited the minute she hears
Blue's Clues and starts screaming when she sees Steve
Likes playing with the doors
Loving the water so far and already wants to go face first
Eating a little bit of table food
So far we have tried mashed potatoes, lima beans, eggs, potato casserole, and some sweets
Gets up on her legs but can't get her body up just yet
HAPPY all the time!

Busy Week

This week we have been super busy. Monday night I had our JA May Dinner and I decided to take MP with me. She was such a good girl and had a blast swinging and strolling with Belle. Tuesday I took off half a day and took MP to the doctor for this nasty runny nose. They went ahead and did her 9 month check up and thank goodness we didn't need any shots this time. She had a blast playing with the paper on the table and really cut up for Dr. Mathis. Wednesday after school I decided to take MP to check out the pool. She was okay with it bit I think it was a little overwhelming. She did not want to play in her new float but she did like splashing around with her hands. I think she would enjoy it a lot more if we had another pair of hands to help us out. We ended up coming home and playing in the sprinkler. After that she got to play with Anderson and Caroline for a little bit before all the girls came over for supper club. Then today I had in service till 6 and when I got home she went straight to bed. So much for mommy time today. Boogie and Chubs must have worn her out this afternoon.

All ready for her first JA dinner
