Spring Break

This week I have been enjoying every single second with my sweet girl. I am so thankful for a job that blesses me with lots of time at home with MP. However, I wish they didn't make me work so hard to earn all this time off. This year has been my worst by far, but it just makes me that much more excited to come home to my family everyday. We have been playing outside, having lunch dates, and even got in a little spring cleaning. MP has been such a good girl with the exception of our lunch dates. She no longer wants to sit in her car seat and smile at us while we eat this week. She wants the napkin, the fork, the tablecloth, our food, and don't forget the drinks too. She is such a big busy body. Last weekend she picked up Sonni's sippy cup and went to town so I bought her one the other day. She grabs the handles and puts it straight to her mouth. We are slowly working on turning it up. She is getting so grown on me. On our way home from town the other day I looked in the mirror and she was holding her cup up and guzzling her juice. I about had a heart attack. The nervous mommy in me was afraid she might choke, but on the other hand I was super excited that she could tilt her own cup. BIG GIRL! We have been drinking a little juice the last couple of weeks to cool us down while playing outside. She loves it. We have tried apple, pear, and white grape. Of course after I dilute them with water they probably all taste the same.
Tuesday we had lunch on the square for Belle's birthday. It was also mine and Tanner's 2nd anniversary. After spending all day playing with the kids I decided I would much rather just grill out at home than go on some fancy date to celebrate. (I must be really getting old) Tanner was fine with that since he had been working all day. I can't believe that it has already been two years since we got married. We have technically been together for almost 11 years if you count all the on and off agains from high school. We have been through so much together and I am so lucky that he always has my back and that he has blessed me with our beautiful baby girl.  I am so thankful that Karl and Lynn raised him to be such a responsible, caring, and funny man. He keeps us both smiling and spoils us rotten.
Yesterday morning we met Anna and the kids for a morning stroll. I put MP in her umbrella stroller because we have 3 flat tires on our big stroller and she did fine. We have been trying it out in the yard at home and I think she likes it much better because she can see everything. Then we met KA for lunch at Marlo's and MP was all over the place.

Mommy, I am not tired!

MP's 1st Boat Ride and 1st TOOTH

Saturday I helped Lynn with a baby shower for Alex's wife Kelsey. She got some of the cutest things for baby Addi. During the shower Lynn was feeding MP a strawberry and I noticed something white in her mouth. WE HAVE A TOOTH! It has broken the skin, but is still giving her some trouble it seems. After the shower we headed to Sardis for a few days to start off my Spring Break. She was a little fussy this weekend and did not want to get far away from mommy. Sonni tried to play with her all weekend, but she wasn't so sure about playing with another baby.  Every time Sonni would get too close to her she would start crying. Hopefully she will get over that very soon. Sunday afternoon we took the girls out for a boat ride. MP was fine for most of the time, but got a little fussy when she realized I was not going to let her explore every inch of the boat. We came home Monday afternoon and she has been right back to her smiling self every since.

Mommy's Girl

Standing Tall

Last week little MP decided she wanted to start standing up.
She will pull up on anything. I put her hands on this walking toy and
she started taking steps. She pulls up in her pack and play and in her bed.

She thinks she is such a big girl standing up.

We have been enjoying every bit of these sunny afternoon.
Boogie already has her playing in the dirt.
She loves the way the grass feels on her feet.

She isn't quite sure about this high chair.
She is still a little too small, but we made it work.

7 Months of Fun

My big girl is 7 months old and one busy chick. No more watching cartoons with mommy, no more snuggling in the recliner with mommy, and no more Bumbo seat. These days we are more about exploring, fighting sleep, standing and climbing, trying to cut a tooth, and throwing fits when we don't get our way. However, as long as she's not hungry or super tired she is smiling from ear to ear. She is such a good/happy baby. I think she is going to have her daddy's laid back funny personality and just a hint of Mommy's attitude! I'm already thinking that my next child will not be so easy and def give us a run for our money. This week she has been staying up way past bedtime. I guess the time change has her off schedule and she now thinks her bedtime is 9:30-9:45. I go to bed early so we have been trying everything, but she just wants to play.
At  7 months, she is into everything. She stares at our food and is really ready to eat what we are eating. She got a hold of a hush puppy and about gummed it to death before Tan took it away from her. She will no longer stay on her blanket and play. She is throwing things under the couch and trying her best to get under there and get them. She loves to listen to any kind of music and sings her heart out in the car. She has learned to make this ugh sound when she wants something or when you aren't doing what she wants you to do. She gives you a bath every time she gets in the tub with her crazy splashing. I cant wait to see her in the pool this summer. She likes to sling things around and throw them and of course wait for you to pick it back up. I am amazed at how inquisitive she is more and more everyday.
This week Tanner left for Sardis on Wednesday and we have been busy ever since. Boogie had to come relieve my mom Thursday night because I had a faculty meeting and JA. So I didn't see her from 6:30am until 7:45pm... I hate days like that! Then yesterday we went shopping for bridesmaid dresses and she spent the day with Boogie and Chubs. When I picked her up she had several new outfits, diapers, formula, and lots of new toys for Boogie's house. We had also went to Chocolate Soup after looking at dresses and got some cute summer stuff. We all have a serious problem when it comes to clothes. Needless to say my Sunday job today will be working on her closet. She already needs a walk in. One more week with my big kids and we are off for SPRING BREAK! Hallelujah!

 HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY GIRL

She loves to find the baby in the mirror. She laughs at her own silly faces.

There is a big pretty blue box at Nanny's from the Easter Bunny that MP is ready to open.
I have no clue what it is, but I know Mommy and MP will love it.
Worn out after a long day with Boogie and Chubs.
 Sporting her pink Converses.

Every time I catch her doing something she knows is a No No....
She is always grinning. How can I say NO to that face??
I finally got a video to upload. She has now perfected
the stairs and heading for the laundry room.
