Another Crazy Week

This week has been just as crazy busy as last week. I am so ready for things to calm down and to get a break. With prof. development, my first evaluation, parent teacher conferences, detention, and the paint party this week there was little time for anything other than MP. I am starting to wonder why new moms work. As if being a mom isn't enough, we add more and more to our plates. It's really stupid if you ask me.
On Sunday I took MP to church for the first time. She was such a big girl and slept through most of it. She woke up, had a bottle, and looked around the rest of the service. Afterwards, we went to lunch at the club with Anna and Hogan and she just smiled the whole time. Next, we had Jessica London's bridal shower at the church. Everyone was so excited to meet MP and she didn't fuss at all. We left a little early to head to a baby shower at Mrs. Nancy's for one of her coworkers. Finally we made it home around 4 and didn't leave the couch the rest of the day.

This week MP turned 10 weeks old. Once again I didn't get her Tuesday pictures, but I did get them done yesterday. Hey, after this week, that's good enough for me. Wednesday night Cindy Clifton brought us chicken rotel, fried green beans, rolls, and yummy brownies. It was delicious and so sweet of her to think of us. Thursday, Anna took MP over to meet our new neighbor Miss Leah Katheryn. Of course Palmer was screaming as she always is in pictures, but I think they had a good time. I hate I missed it and will def. be going to meet her soon. After holding detention Thursday I ran home for about 30 minutes and headed to the paint party. Mrs. Ginny Robbins taught this one and it was so much fun. I am very impressed with my painting and have already put it in the perfect spot. I am already looking forward to the next class.

Last night, Tanner and I finally got to have a date night. We have both been so busy at work and it was a very much needed night. I had been secretly wishing for rain all week so that Tanner would get a little break. We went to one of my favorite places Mister B's and met KA and Michael. Tonight we have a party for Ashley Bradshaw and her fiance at the CCC and hopefully we can make it to Summer's Halloween party too. MP will be spending some quality time with her Nanny and Huh.

Back to Work

This week has been CRAZY, but I survived my first week back at work. I haven't had time to even think about blogging this week or anything else for that matter. I finally got the blogger app, so I am typing while MP is asleep in my lap. Thinking back this week seems like a big blur. I had professional development Wednesday till 5:30, a faculty meeting till 4:30 Thursday, then a JA meeting till 9. I literally came in ate, fed MP, and passed out. I already feel like I am missing so much. Boogie and Anna Laura heard MP laughing out loud this week, but I haven't heard it yet. Lynn has been a lifesaver this week with Tanner working late. I thought I would be fine with just MP, but taking care of her, school work, and cooking while exhausted is not easy. She has cooked, cleaned up, done laundry, and just been an extra set of hands. I am such a lucky girl to have such amazing help.
Yesterday I realized that I missed her 9 week pictures on Tuesday and I never miss a weekly Tuesday photo shoot. I haven't even taken one picture all week and I am NOT happy about that. I guess tomorrow we will just have take pictures all day long. All day Friday I counted down the hours until I could get home in my comfy recliner with my sweet girl. Right now, nothing else in the world matters to me. It's just us and I literally couldn't be any happier... Unless Tanner was here too! The next 2 weeks are going to be just as busy with 2 days of Professional Development, parent teacher conferences, and my first big evaluation. I barely know all 75 of my kids' names and you want to evaluate me? That should be very entertaining As if this week wasn't enough, Tanner had a horrible day yesterday that started with a broken down combine, 2 blowouts on the big truck, and ended with a 2am trip to the ER with a kidney stone. Seriously? Someone must think our life needed just a little more excitement. Today we are doing absolutely NOTHING and I couldn't be more excited about hanging out in our pajama's.

2 Months

My big girl is two months old today. I can't believe how fast time is passing. I feel like she is already huge and she is not even 11 pounds yet. Her personality is starting to show and she is definitely her mothers child. She is very demanding and wants everything NOW. She can throw a tantrum with the best of them and even claw at her face or pull her hair. I finally broke down and cut her nails myself because I couldn't stand her scratching her face. She slept right through it and I didn't even cut her. : )

This weekend has been absoluetly beautiful. Friday we got to hang out with Tanner and that night Mr. Karl cooked us all steaks. We had a great time on the patio and dinner was delicious as usual. Saturday we went to Marlo's for lunch with Mrs. Nancy and Kerry Ann. MP loved being out on the patio and sleeping in the sunshine. Afterwards we did a little shopping then came home to nap on the couch . Last night we cooked dinner and waited on Tanner to get home late. Harvest season is here and so are the long hours on the combine for Tanner. They just got started and will be working nonstop for a good while. I am also going back to work Monday so things should be very interesting sound here. I am sure to be very ill, sleepy, and sporting some super baggage under my eyes... Sounds like a lovely week to me. I am scared, nervous, and excited all at once about going back to work. I know I am going to miss her like crazy, but she couldn't be in better hands and I will be running out the door at 3:15.

We are back to waking up pretty much every 3 hours. I have tried giving her5 ounces at bedtime, but she still woke up in 4 hours. Friday night I decided to put her upstairs. After climbing the stairs 3 times to give her back your passy and once to feed her, I decided (Well actually my legs decided) to bring her back downstairs. Hopefully shewill get back to sleeping all night again soon and I will put her back upstairs.
At 2 Months You Are:
10.11 1/2 pounds and 22 inches
Smiling like crazy.
Spitting up on everything and everyone. Yuck!!
Doing mini push ups with your arms and head.
Still trying to roll over, but not quite ready.
Playing with your hands.
Grabbing onto things and holding on tightly.
You can tell your Mommy's voice from across the room and you immediately start looking for me. You do the same with Daddy.
Starting to fit into all your cute outfits. ; )
Pulling Mommy's hair and anyone else's you can get ahold of.
Back to waking up almost every 3 hours.
You have slept in your room almost everyday for a nap and once at night.
Last but not least, You are NOT ready for Mommy to go back to work.

My Little Pumpkin

This morning MP was in a fabulous mood so I decided to play dress up with some of our new outfits. They are all 3 month and I was beginning to wonder if she would get to wear them this year. She was being so good we had to have a photo shoot.  Seventy-eight pictures later, my little pumpkin was still smiling and probably in shock from all the flashing. To have just had her shots yesterday, this little girl was fabulous today.

After I took her top off, she starting laughing like crazy so I had
to get one more shot. This one is one of my favorites. She just looks like such a big girl in those pants!

8 weeks Update and the Dreaded Shots

My sweet princess is growing up so fast and changing so much.
2 days old

Not too happy about this picture and because of her cold we didn't try again.

Today MP got her first set of shots. Anna stayed in the room with her because Mommy just couldn't stand to watch. I heard her screaming and it broke my heart. She cried for about 10 minutes then slept all the way home. She is such a big girl with her 2 hot pink band aids. She hasn't really been fussy just running a low  fever and wanting to be held. Boogie and Chubs came to give her some TLC and now she is passed out. She now weighs 10.11 1/2 and is still 22 inches long. It seems like she is getting longer every week, but I guess not.  She is in the 50th percentile for height and weight.
