33 Weeks

Pregnancy So Far :
How Far Along: 33 Weeks
Size of baby: Almost 5 pounds
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 23 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Definitely. I have even outgrown many of my previously comfy maternity clothes. Summer dresses have been WONDERFUL.
Movement: She is moving like crazy. She has gotten so big that I can watch her moving around at night. She also loves the sunshine and the pool. She goes crazy when we are laying out.
Sleep: More like a lack of sleep lately. I can't get comfortable no matter how many pillows I wedge everywhere. I am snoring.. YUCK and getting up to go to the bathroom almost every 45 minutes.
Cravings: Orange Fanta, Peanut Butter Oreos, and my new obsession with crushed ice.
Symptoms: Indigestion started last week and doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.
Best Moments this week: My foot is finally healing very well and I got all the kitchen cabinets and drawers cleaned out and organized!
Biggest Worry this week: It's really starting to sink in that EVERYTHING is about to CHANGE for EVER! However, I can't wait... HURRY UP MP!

Happy Father's Day!

This week has mostly consisted of me sitting in the recliner with my foot propped up and iced. (BORING!) On Monday, I thought my foot was doing better so I rode with Tanner to Caruthersville to get some fishing stuff and this adorable t-shirt for MP.
On the way there my foot started swelling and I knew that it was not 100% better. Dr. Kent told me another week of complete rest would help.. Ugh! So the rest of the week was spent sitting around and watching the crazy Casey Anthony trial. I have been having an extremely hard time sleeping. Every time I get even a little bit comfortable I have to go to the bathroom. At this point, I would give anything to sleep for a solid 2 hours!
This weekend Whitney and the girls came to visit. Allie Reeves just loves MP's room and can't wait for her to get here. This morning the whole family went over to the farm to go craw fishing. Tanner has always told me how many there were over there, but I had never been to catch them. It was so much fun! We all had a blast a caught a bunch to send home to Oxford with the girls. I can't wait for Tanner to take me back.

Rae and I wearing them out!

KA with her snake boots.

Obviously, crawfish love chicken!

 Rae loved it!

Today is also Tanner's first Father's Day. Even though she isn't here yet I still feel like we can celebrate. MP and I got him a fish rug for Sardis and a cute card. I just know that he is going to be an awesome, sweet, and caring daddy just like his daddy. MP and I are LUCKY girls! I can't wait to share all of my sweet memories with my daddy with MP. He was a very unique dad and I know he would have just adored our sweet girl.

Little Miss Wakefield's Shower

First of all let me say this.. I am truly overwhelmed by the generosity, love, and sincerity that accompanies a small town community. Talk might travel fast here, but the bonds of friendship are unbreakable!

Anna Laura, Taryn, Audrey, Ryleigh, and Summer hosted the best baby shower ever for Molly Palmer. Everything was beautiful and we had a ton of guests. I didn't even get to talk to most of them because I was busy opening gifts the entire time.
Love these girls!

The centerpiece was made from a baby carriage that Lynn had given Mrs. Ann when will was born. Twenty-six years later, they were able to use it for my baby shower... So sweet!

Lane, Karen, Grandmother, & Katie checking out our baby photos.

I had seen a painting similar to this one at Patina a while back. It was a little pricey so I didn't buy it. I had told Erin about it one day and she went out a found an even better one.
I am so excited to hang this in the nursery.

I am a sucker for sweet traditions. This is a keepsake bonnet from Mrs. Ann.
It later turns into a hanky for her wedding day. I can't wait for her to wear this. I also got another really neat keepsake. Mrs. Jackie and Mel gave us a sweet pearl bracelet and a penny
for her shoe on her wedding day.

Her first piece of silver! A Little Miss Muffet baby rattle.
Mrs. Nancy wouldn't have it any other way.

Emily got her an appliqued outfit for each season.
I would have never thought of that. What an awesome idea!

Kerry Ann got her very first pair of cowboy boots. I have a feeling she will be wearing these a lot!

Ken made her two sweet blankets!

When we moved into our house, Lisa got us two white rocking chairs for the porch. Since our family is growing she got MP one too. I can't wait for us all three to rock on the porch.
Mrs. Ginny made the perfect lamp for the nursery. I have been looking everywhere and couldn't find what I was looking for. We are so blessed to have such talented friends.

Mrs. Patti and Sarah got my diaper bag. I have been dying to see this one.
I picked it out online, so I was very excited to actually check it out. Now I just need to figure out what goes in it. : )

Jena made her monthly onsies. She is also very talented and I am sure she will keep Sonni and MP in style.

I also got the onesie stickers from Megan. I love these because you can stick them
anywhere and I can put them in her baby book too. Another really neat idea I would have never thought of.

Love, Love, Love this quilt from Mrs. Jan.

My special helper Allie Reeves. She was such a big help putting away all of MP's new things.

Whitney and the girls decided that MP had to have a shirt just like her Daddy, He loves his
Carlos shirt and now they can wear them together... (at home).

Anna Laura.. Aka the other daddy, putting together her swing.

There are at least a hundred more pictures, but I tried to pick only a few. We got so many clothes and blankets. I have a feeling we will be playing dress up a lot. Since I was still down on my foot, everyone came over yesterday and got everything put away. Anna Laura put together her swing and washed most of her new stuff. Now I just have to sort through the pink laundry and try to match it all up. Thank you to everyone who was a part of this special day. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Okay MP, now all we need is you... Hurry Up August! We can't wait to meet you.
Love Mom and Dad

Just call me Grace

Just my luck... Friday morning I missed a step outside on the porch and fell. I caught myself on my arm because my first reaction was the BABY and as I was falling I heard my ankle POP. At first it hurt a little but I thought I would be fine. An hour later, I was in the recliner with an ice pack and the swelling had begun. After a visit to Dr. Kent's office and x-rays later, I was told I had torn the main ligaments in my ankle. As if being pregnant during a heat wave wasn't enough. No Walking and no pressure for the next few days. My first thought was...Yeah right..  I have to go to the restroom every 20 minutes... This is going to be impossible. By the time I left the Dr's office I couldn't walk at all. Dr. Kent had to help me get in the car. So for the past few days I have been attempting to walk on crutches and taking it very easy. I even had to miss Megan and Logan's party and it was next door! Today it was a little better and I managed to make it through the shower without my crutches. Now it's time to elevate and more ice.

2 months

This morning I have been thinking about how much everything is about to change. I still can not believe that in 2 months we are going to have a BABY. Even though I am constantly reminded when she has gymnastic practice daily and everytime I see this large BUMP in the mirror. In 2 months it will no longer be just about me anymore, I will be solely responsible for sonmeone's tiny life, and in just 2 short months we will have a FAMILY. It sounds overwhelming when I say it out loud, but I can't WAIT! The nursery is ready and everyday when I go in there I get very anxious for her to be there. I would have never thought that I could love someone so much and I haven't even met her yet.  This pregnancy has flown by and I am so thankful that I do not have much to complain about. However, there are a few things that I really miss.

1. I would give anything to sleep on my stomach.
2. Bending over with ease.
3. Having a large variety of clothes that FIT.
4. My acne free skin.
5. And last but not least.... A nice glass of wine. : )

We have another big weekend planned again this weekend.. Friday night we are celebrating Mr. Karl's birthday, Saturday night there is a party for Megan and Logan, and SUNDAY is my BABY SHOWER! I am so excited and can't wait to see all of her new stuff.

Hot Hot Hot!

Oh girl, it is only June 5th and it is 97 outside and feels like 103.
You and I are spending the day INSIDE where it is nice and cool. Our check up on Thursday went
well and everything is going great. I only gained 2 more pounds.

Friday night Tanner had his Diaper Shower. We got lots of diapers
and wipes and the boys had a great time.

Yesterday, we got the 4D ultrasound done and you are just as beautiful as I could have imagined. You seem to have my lips and your daddy's dimple. I even got a dvd of short clips of you playing around in there. I have watched them at least 20 times.  It is amazing what technology can do these days. I am literally counting down the minutes until we meet. Only 10 more HOT weeks! Last night, we went to Morgan's wedding and it was absoultely georgeous, but it was way too hot for us.
