LONG but FUN day!

Saturday was one of those days where you have TOO much planned for one day, but for some reason it worked out to be one of the best days I've had in a long time. Most of the time weekends are my chance to do housework, grocery shopping, organizing, etc, but this past Saturday we were all booked up and had a blast.

We started off with breakfast at the mall with Santa, 8:00 am:

First successful year with both boys not scared of Santa!
Then off to Anaheim to a bowling party of a neighborhood friend Tristen, 11:00 am:

Bennett got high score, he is pretty good!

Next up to LA for another friend Zaylin's Star Wars birthday party, 2:30 pm:

Then after that party we were right next to the LA temple so we stopped by and looked at the Christmas lights, 5:30 pm:

We really did have a fun day, we stopped for dinner on the way home and visited a friend in a hospital in Long Beach. We were gone from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm, but it was a fun day spent as a family!

Sunday, September 19

I did so many posts they went to the "older post" page, click that to see more of what we have been up to.....

BLUE SHARKS

SOCCER HAS STARTED AGAIN. LAST YEAR BENNETT WASN'T SUPER INTO IT AND WAS PRETTY SCARED OF THE BALL, BUT AT THE END OF THE SEASON HE GOT A DRIVE TO SCORE, SO I WAS HOPING HE WOULD START THERE THIS YEAR AND HAVE THAT SAME DESIRE TO DO WHATEVER HE HAD TO TO SCORE, BUT WE STARTED OFF SLOW AGAIN. GAME #1 WADE AND I WERE CRAZY SCREAMING AT HIM FROM THE SIDELINES (WE ARE THOSE PARENTS), AND HE WAS SCARED AGAIN, NOT GOOD. SO WE DECIDED WE WOULD TRY TO REFRAIN FROM THE SIDELINE COACHING AND GAME #2 HE STEPPED IT UP AND SCORED 2 GOALS....SO PROUD. HE HAS GREAT TEAMMATES THAT HELPED HIM , BUT HE HAS THE SKILL OF BEING IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME. THIS SEASON MAY BE MORE EXCITING THAN I THOUGHT!

GO BLUE SHARKS!

First Day's of School

There were a lot of changes around here this year in regards to school. Bennett is off to 1st grade, which is a big step from Kindergarten, and Grayson is going to Preschool two days a week through the school district at Wood Canyon Elementary. The first day of school was a runny day, so we weren't able to focus too much on pictures, but here is my big first grader:

Walking to school in the rain on day 1, what a bummer!

This is Bennett's teacher, Mrs Vallejos, she is new to the school, Bennett seems to like her.

Here is my new school boy, he was so excited and didn't get scared at all, so proud.

He is in the same class as his BFF Kaden, so we stopped to get donuts on the way to their first day.

These kids are growing up way too fast.
Grayson loves his classroom, it is so much fun for him.
It is great having these boys back in school and learning and growing, but I wish they would stay small forever! Here's to another great school year!

Summer vacation- UTAH

We had a crazy busy summer, working a lot, busy weekends. We stayed home all summer and didn't have much free time, SO the last week of summer the boys and I decided to fly to Utah to have our summer vacation, right in the nick of time. We really didn't do much, but we had a blast. It was super relaxing and mellow.

On our first day there we met my cousins and their kids at a park and played and then went over to my aunt Jamie's for lunch and more playing in her fun backyard, the boys were in heaven.
The boys spent a lot of time following my dad around his garage doing projects! He let them hammer nails into wood, they thought it was cool.

We went to my old childhood favorite, "Surf N Swim". School was in there so we had the pool to ourselves, the boys loved it there too. We went back again later in the week.

This picture is hilarious because it was so bright we were all laughing when trying to take it.

I wasn't lying, we were literally the only ones there!
Love bubble baths at grandmas, everything is more fun when you are not at home!

We met my cousin Alisa and her three boys at Kangaroo Zoo one day, it was a huge place with tons of bounce houses. Once again, i think there were four other kids in the whole place besides ours.

Bennett, Grayson, Cohen, and Grady were having so much fun together.

We met Wade's parents and grandparents for dinner and then headed to Wade's grandma Decker's house. They have a wonderful garden, so we picked some plums, apples, raspberries, tomatoes, and corn.

Bennett, Stryder, and Grayson had fun playing in the garden, then relaxing on the swing.
Grandpa Decker took the kids on bike rides.
This picture isn't very clear, but i love it. Wade's mom Charisse, Wade's grandma Decker and the boys and I. We don't get to see great grandma Decker often enough so I was glad we got to spend a little time with her so the boys can have fond memories of her.
One day we took the train to Salt Lake to go on an adventure.
Waiting for our train.

The boys had fun counting church buildings out of the windows, ha.
First we walked around temple square.
Then we had lunch at Gateway mall and played in the fountains. (and did a little shopping)

Back to Surf N Swim with Brock and Savannah, my cousin Aimee's youngest.
This was a perfect way to end our summer. The kids had fun being with cousins and friends and playing with their grandma's and grandpa's. We hope to go back soon.
