I think nowadays one wants bothers to upload photo to blogspot anymore.
Took me about 2 days to finish uploading all these pictures.
Being a Laggard,I just found out how to collage picture using Picasa.
It's so fun and It really helps to reduce the number of pictures I need to upload .
I have been longing for a Short Getaway since last year.
It's hard to find someone that matches my army schedule.
But somehow I manage to gather friends who happen to be free,
Of which are people whom I have lost contact through the years.
and hence this batam trip begin to materializes.
We want to find someplace that is not too far away from Singapore and matches our tight budget
and we found the fantastic Deal to Batam for only $202.
Its a 3 day 2night package which include meals,1 hr spa,Bowling and shuttle bus to nyogoya town.
On the ferry to Batam.
I wondered how much Batam had changed through the years.
I have been to Batam twice as a kid,I remember having lotsa fun there.
Riding the Go-kart,Jet Ski and having sumptuous Seafood Fest.
Upon Reaching Harris Resort,there was a slight delay before we checed into our room due to the large crowd in the reception center.
We were glad that we were given connecting rooms but we got the last corner room which is known to be dirty.
Thank God nothing spooky happen this time except I found long hairs in the bathroom on the second day of the trip even though we did not request Room cleaning service.
The Room looks cozy and are quite similar to the rooms in chalet.
We went straight to lunch and to our disappointment the lunch was horrible,We thought we will be having buffet but instead there were only four trays of food for us to chose,Rice,Noodle,Spicy Chicken and the yellowish kan nan Veggie.
It was worse than the food SAF provides.
After Lunch we realised that we had missed the last shutter bus to Nagoya Center hence we visit Mega Mall instead .

MegaMall is not Mega at all.There is nothing much to shop ,hence we decided to sing karaoke at
.Its worth it as its about S$10 for 3 hours.
What surprised me was that they had SNSD's Gee in hanyu pinyin style.
We managed to sing it with a ease.
and a fake Glee's "Don't stop believing" but the MV shows Scenes from Gossip Girl.
After Karaoke,We watched Gulliver Travel 3D.
Its much cheaper than Singapore 3D ticket,It cost only S$7.
We had the long forgotten A and W for dinner.
But this A and W outlet is pretty lousy runs out of Root Beer and Coke .
What a Irony?A and W that does not sells A and W root beer.
The Fish Burger taste a little weird and my much anticipated waffle is another disappointment.
After dinner,we managed to rush back to the resort to watch 小孩.狗 .
Day 2
Breadfast was served in Buffet Style and it was alot better than our pathetic lunch on day 1.
The weather was perfect and we went for our water activities.
We paid S$60 for a package that include Para sailing,Banana Boat and Jet Skiing.
Para Sailing sets my Heart Racing.
I went Higher
and Higher
and Higher
Its really cool to be flying up so high.
The breath is breathtaking and its the most thrilling activity out of the package.
He did not know that the boat will capsize and held tightly when all of us fell into the water.
As the result, he got struck under the boat.
We laughed till we had no strength to swim back to the boat,we also had a hard time pulling him up the boat.
Jetskiling was alright.The Speed of the Jet will set your adrenaline pumping
We learnt our lesson,we found out that we can actually upgrade to buffet lunch by paying additional 5 dollar.

We went to Nagoya Town .Its the bigger version of Mega Mall.
Nothing much to shop,We slacked at Newtown Cafe for some high tea.
We went back to the resort for our complimentary bowling ,Joel emerge as the winner of the night.I sucked at bowling , more practice is required.
We had buffet Dinner at Harris Cafe again and there was a acoustic band going around asking for song delication.
Joel wanted to delicate the song"We wish you a merry christmas "but he said it so fast that they thought he was greeting them Merry Xmas and hence they greeted back and walked away..
We laughed non-stop for 15 min.

Day 3
We woke up early to swim on our last day of the trip.
Acutally ,we didn't swim ,we camwhored alot.
We were so carried away that we missed our buffet breakfast and had to go the spa with our empty stomach.
We went for 1 hour of full body massage.
The massage was good,helps to relieve all my muscle aches and my sprained ankle got a little better after that.
After Massage ,We soaked ourselves in the very Shiok Jacuzzi.
and went to the Sauna to relax ourselves
but we went out in 5 min as we could not take the heat.
and continue to slack at the Jacuzzi...
Joel is very daring,
He went back to the Hotel room with a wrapped towel.

Before Heading home,We went for Go-Kart .
We didn't know that we were in it for a DEATH RACE.
The Go-Karts are so run down.
The uncle have to manually start the Go-kart .
We were going at such a high speed that the Go-Kart is shaking through all the way.
Thanks to the reckless Shaowei ,He crushed my car during a sharp turn and I was sandwiched between him and Weiqiang.
The brake wasn't functioning after the crash and I swirled off-track .
Joel also crushed his car miserably.
Go-Kart is definitely not worth it.
On the ferry home,We played Monopoly deal to kill time.
Batam did not changed much through the years.
Its still undeveloped and the infrastructure are still in its primary stages.
Overall,My 3 days in Batam was very happening!!!
Did tons of things and had lotsa FUN!
Helps me to forget my worries and miserable army life.
If u are looking for a cheap and short get away ,Batam is the place to be.
