Im visiting the scottish highlands today! The coach leaves at 715am in the morning so i had to wake up at like 5+am to catch it..
The coach first traveled up North to the largest lake in great britain called Loch Lomond. Actually Loch is the scottish word for Lake so the name is just Lomond.

Loch Lomond
After a short rest we continued our trip to Glencoe, where it is infamous for the massacre of Glencoe in the 1690s. The Macdonalds' clan were murdered on the orders of King William II as they did not pledge alliance to him. What shocked the people at that time was not the fact that it was the king who gave the orders, but because the soldier's who executed the King's orders had accepted weeks of Macdonald's hospitality in their house before killing them. The whole clan was almost completely wiped out.

The song of "The Massacre Of Glencoe"says the whole story..
Oh cruel is the snow that sweeps Glencoe
And covers the grave o' Donald
And cruel was the foe that raped Glencoe
And murdered the house o' MacDonald
They came through the blizzard, we offered them heat
A roof ower their heads, dry shoes for their feet
We wined them and dined them, they ate o' our meat
And slept in the house O' MacDonald
They came from Fort William with murder mind
The Campbell had orders, King William had signed
Pit all tae the sword, these words underlined
And leave none alive called MacDonald
They came in the night when the men were asleep
That band of Argyles, through snow soft and deep.
Like murdering foxes, among helpless sheep
They slaughtered the house o' MacDonald
Some died in their beds at the hands of the foe
Some fled in the night, were lost in the snow.
Some lived to accuse him, what struck the first blow
But gone was the house of MacDonald
Oh cruel is the snow that sweeps Glencoe
And covers the grave o' Donald
And cruel was the foe that raped Glencoe
And murdered the house o' MacDonald

The scenery made the story more miserable..
After lunch at the Fort william area, we drove pass the highest mountain in Great Britain, Ben Nevis, before arriving in Loch Ness.

Loch Ness (It was rainy and gloomy in the afternoon so the photos doesn't look very nice). Loch Ness was best known for the alleged sightings of the Loch Ness Monster, also known as "Nessie".

Nessie.. (I didn't take this photo though)
It was quite strange that Nessie is protected by the 1912 Protection of Animals Acts of Scotland. Although Nessie provides quite an economical impact because she is worth $40 million annually to Scottish tourism industry, i doubt its actually real. Someone please tell me how can you protect a non-existant animal.
At around 3.30pm just after the Loch Ness stop, something happened to the coach. Collin, the guide had to bring it to the garage for repair. I thought it would be quick and the fault could be fixed soon enough for us to continue our journey. But repair time was being extended again and again while all of us waited for the time to pass at a café. When the café closed at 6pm, the coach still wasn’t ready and we had to stand in the Mercedes car garage to wait, not to mention it was cold and rainy that day. The only compensation we had was that we could order drinks and snacks from the cafe while being paid by the tour guide.
The coach was finally ready at about 6.45pm, while on our way back to glasgow, we met with some road construction and had to take another longer route. We arrived at glasgow George square only at about 10.40pm when the scheduled time for return was 715pm. The places we didn't get to visit was the Inverness, Grampian Mountains, Perthshire, Forest of Atholl, and Pitlochry.
Although I wasn't particularly displeased, I wrote a letter to the company and they only took 3 days to reply me that they would refund me in full =D
