Things to note on Monday
As the obvious title says. Things to note on Monday.
1. In the morning, there will only be ONE point of entry to the school and that is through the main gate. The side gate will be closed. However, if it rains then both gates will be opened.
2. To avoid traffic congestion on Monday morning, please come early.
3. If you are injured and/if you are unable to walk to school, your parents can drive you into the school porch.
4. Bring the Travel Declaration Form signed by your parents.
5. Bring a serviceable thermometer for temperature taking.
6. Do not come to school if you are unwell. See a doctor. (Duh)
7. Bring Health Booklets (if not submitted to FT yet).
8. Bring yellow PE T-shirt.
9. Do your HW. =P
AYG programme tomorrow can be found on the VS website, or here.

Schedules
Update on the upcoming events this week, before the end of the term and the start of the June Holidays.
Tomorrow:
Arts Day! Remember to wear your PE attire.
The schedule for the Arts Day events are on the VS Website. But I'll just put it here as well for convenience:
0740-0800: Launch of Arts Day and distribution of Reflection booklets in the Hall
0800-0900: Cardio-Kickboxing in the Hall
0900-1000: Royston Tan Films in Auditorium
1000-1020: Canteen break, "NAFA exhibits, D&T Diorama projects, Radio 91.3 Tour bus (?)"
1030-1100: Radio 91.3 in the Hall
1100-1200: "Accappella" by NANU in the Hall
1200-1220: Closure of Arts Day and collection of Reflection booklets, in the Hall.
And, not to forget. After the Arts Day we have the Maths lesson after school. Should be just for those that failed the SA1 for A and/or E-Maths papers.
Thursday:
Science Day until 1005, and its the half-day off. :D
And then at 1830, 6:30pm, meet at Park Mall main entrance for the Much Ado for Nothing play at Fort Canning Park.
Don't wear any khakis or bermudas, bring groundsheets or mats if you have, as well as snacks and/or maybe drinks as well. For those buying food/drinks or whatever, with Mr Tan, I'm not sure about you but I only remember that you're supposed to meet at 5:30pm. Where? I'm not really sure. :P Probably the same place, but you should know yourself.
Friday:
Release of report cards, cleaning of classrooms and release from class at 1130h.
Then there should be the Service Learning thing after school for some people, and it would most likely end at 4:30pm, although for the details I am not really clear on.
Don't forget that on 2/6/09, which is the 2nd of June, there is the English Oral Examination for SA2. And on the 3/6/09, which is the 3rd of June, there is the Combined Humanities lesson thing by Mr Tan in school. It starts at 10:00am, and would most likely last until like, 12? Not sure.
Then there is the E-maths holiday homework to complete.
And as requested, homework updates would most likely be updated on the blog whenever possible, although certain lapse in homework updates might occur, it should probably go according to schedule.
Hopefully. Heehee. :D

Exercuse 7.2: Q3, 5, 6
Exercise 7.3: Q2a, b, c, 4, 7
Done in AM2 book:
Exercise 2.1: Q3a, 3g, 6b, 7, 8, 9
Exercise 2.2: Q3b, 5b, 6a, 7a, 8
Exercuse 2.6: Q2f, 4c, 5d, 6b, d

If you do have the paper, please refer to it instead of this. Obviously since its typed out I don't think it is 100% accurate, but seeing how some of her questions appear to be mistyped and stuff when I compared with my book.
I think that the above should be pretty much safe to follow.

E-Learning HW
The E-learning is tomorrow!
Remember to log in to the VS portal to check if you can access the portal. And also remember that E-learning starts at 8:30am.

This is the E-learning Time-Table, and it can also be found on the VS portal. I posted it up here just for convenience. For both days, it starts at 8:30am and ends at 2pm, with half-hour intervals between each subject. Also remember that there is a survey at the end of the E-learning, and can be found in the Maths folder.
And as requested, the homework up to date to be done are as follows:
MATHS
A-Maths 1
- Exercise 8.1 question 6
- Exercise 8.2 question 9
- Miscellaneous(?) Exercise 8 question 15
- A-Maths Holiday Homework on foolscap if not completed
- E-Maths Holiday Homework on foolscap if not completed as well
E-Maths 1
- Exercise 4a questions 2, 3 and 5
- Exercise 4b questions 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9
- Exercise 4c questions 3a, 3c, 4, 5, 7, 11 and 13
Graph questions are to be done on graph paper and then stapled into the AM1 book.
For Biology, complete the workbook chapter on Nutrients in Humans or whatever it is I think. I'm not sure, and it doesn't help that I do not have the Biology workbook in my possession.
For Chemistry, remember that there is a makeup Chemistry lesson after school on Friday at 2pm.
Enjoy your E-learning for the next two days.

E-Learning
So.
It seems that it finally took about two to three months for me to realise that the class blog was dead. Wait! I realised that from the beginning.
Nevermind. Ignore me. Anyone has anything worth to put up here just for fun? Anything? Like, pictures from the Secondary 3 camp, or something you just want to share. Or just something to revive this dead blog.
Ah heck it.
The E-learning is coming in two days time. It will be on Wednesday and Thursday, and the time slots for the various subjects will be posted here, once or if I know. Remember to check whether you are able to access your accounts by today, and if you have any problems accessing the VS portal or logging in, contact Mr. Ithnin:
ithnin@vs.moe.edu.sg. (Tel: 62912965 ext 261)
And these links on the VS website might be of relevance.

Remember to log in at the stated times for all the subjects, and don't forget it starts at 8:30am.
And hope we have fun. :P

March Holiday Homework
Greetings from the admin of this dead class blog.
How was the Secondary 3 EDGE camp?
I hope you didn't have a really bad time at the Kahang eco-farm stay! It wasn't that much of a disaster. At least the food was good, in a way. The waiting time was a bit long, but just take all that waiting time we had over there as time to relax and to sleep.
Yeah right. Anyway, on to more important stuff that would warrant our attention over the week.
To all the people that forgot what homework is there to complete for the holidays. Do not fret. For I did not forget my homework! I think. Heehee.
For the entire list of A-Maths homework, go here.
For the entire list of E-Maths homework, go here.
For the rest that are too lazy to go to those links, or they don't work, or they are too laggy for you, or you simply don't give a hoot at all. I shall painstakingly spell out every single maths homework for you. And while I'm at it, I'll put up the rest of the homework that I know of.
HOLIDAY HOMEWORK
E-Maths:
Revision Exercise 1 page 72 Questions 1 to 8
A-Maths:
Revision Exercise 1 page 75.......Questions 1, 4, 5a
Revision Exercise 2 page 76.......Questions 1, 3
Revision Exercise 3 page 77.......Questions 1, 2, 6b
Revision Exercise 7 page 220......Questions 1, 2
Chemistry Workbook
Exercise 7.1
Exercise 7.2
AEP
Take pictures for your portfolio
Take pictures for three (or was it five?) series
Please remember each series is supposed to have a minimum of three photos
Character Education
Finish up your CE project...whatever it was about. I forgot.
And please remember to file up all of your worksheets and notes in their respective subject files. It will help...one way or another. And forgive me if I left out any homework. I don't remember all of the homework we were supposed to complete for the holidays.
I'm such a good guy.

Post-CA!
The CAs are over! Two days ago actually.
Remember to do your homework. Chemistry workbook exercise 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3, as well as A-Maths, do exercise 7.1 and 7.2 on your AM1 book. Also don't forget Geography workbook pages 34-36, 41-44. And for the AEP people, make sure that you finish your draft story, and start on your storyboard already.
I MIGHT have missed out some, I'm not too sure. :P
And most importantly, have fun. Enjoy the freedom from exams, while it still lasts. :D And as a random thing to add, it seems that I have somehow, one way or another, managed to ban myself from the class Cbox, although I have banned absolutely no one at all.
0.o
Heehee.

CA1 Update
How has the exams been so far?
We are done with Geography, Chemistry and English comprehension. Tomorrow there will be Physics, and on Thursday there would be the English situational writing exam. Of course, not to forget Biology on Thursday as well.
And the all-accursed Mother Tongue exams on Friday.
Remember:
Biology
- Cell Structure
- Diffusion and Osmosis
- Enzymes
Physics
Study all we learnt up till now except total internal refraction.
Mr Liang's notes are uploaded onto the VS website here.
English
Study the information/incident report format, as well as the format for newspaper and magazine report, which are essentially the same thing (I think, so just study all just to be sure :D)
Mother Tongue
Ask your friends in your respective Mother Tongue classes, for Normal Chinese, the topics tested are Chapters 1-5. Remember to memorise your words and meanings.
That should be all for now.
Study Phyiscs, and read Mr Liang's notes!

So I recommend just checking the slip of paper that she gave all of us. Of note is that in Exercise 2.1 (AM2), the slip of paper wrote question 3a, but it appears that it is not required to be done. So, your choice to do it or not, I guess.

CA1 Timetable
The CA1 Timetable.
Simple as that.
There is no Mother Tongue and A-Maths/E-maths exam for CA1.

Study hard people. Endure the exams from 23 February to the 26 February, which is from Monday to Thursday two weeks later. And after the exams we would be free! For a short period of course.
And a reminder, those that haven't renewed your passports which are going to expire by September 2009, go and renew your passports soon.
Good luck!

Temp. Checks
Yeah, to whoever still reads this blog.
Or actually knows that it even exists at all.
REMEMBER to bring your thermometers tomorrow, on Wednesday, and most importantly, on Thursday, where the actual temperature check would take place.
The temperature check tomorrow would be held at the parade square during assembly, while the check on Wednesday and Thursday (the actual check) would be conducted in the classroom.
The Wednesday and Thursday checks should be after assembly, or if we're lucky, in the classroom during assembly and we get to skip having assembly at the Parade Square and slack in the classroom :D.

Thermometers
Another little reminder for all of you that visit this blog.
Or am I having a bout of self denial here?
Whatever.
To whoever that is out there, please remember to bring your thermometers for the annual temperature check that is always conducted early on in the year. In this case, the first temperature check date would be on the 2nd of February 2009, which is the following Monday after the weekend.
Please check that your thermometer is still not missing, and if its not, that its not covered totally in dust or grime or something worse. Also, check that the thermometer actually works, like try to turn it on and take your temperature or something.
If you're thermometer is not working, or you lost it, better buy it soon or you'll probably have to buy from the school at a whopping rip-off price of $10.
And remember to wash it clean, and don't be like some people that forget to wash and then just randomly stick into their mouth, just to realise that it was covered in dust
Just like me.
Err.

Meet the Parents Session
Just a kind little reminder for you.
From your little administrator of this dead little abandoned class blog.
Yes, I have to admit, it is partially my fault for it being dead. But then, what else do we have to post up? Things note-worthy to post up on this blog are little and few. Apart from homework of course, and that is the one issue we would like to move away from as quickly as possible. Homework can be very tiring to post up every single little day. Heehee.
So yes, back to the reminder. Tomorrow is the Meet the Parents session for all Secondary Three students, so remember to submit all of your homework that you still owe any teachers by tomorrow, and remind your parents/inform your parents on the upcoming Meet the Parents session if you haven't.
It'll be a bad way to start off the post-CNY school days with teachers saying you haven't completed this and that, to your parents. :D
In other completely irrelevant news, we're still looking for content to upload or if you just have something to announce, post, or just share with the class. Post on the tagbox if you wish to become an author of the blog, or for us to just upload somethings or announcements onto the class blog for you.
Anyone can be an author of this blog if you like, just be sure to at least post some stuff from time to time, or else we'll have a blog with too many authors and too little content, and this blog would probably just stagnate pretty quickly.
Han Mo, want to be an author? Heehee.

Introduction
Welcome to the new class blog of VS3C.
Feel free to leave any comments on anything ranging from the skin to whatever you like. If you want, we can also add in your blog URL into the class link list, just leave the URL as well as your name in the tagbox.
Administrators of the blog are me, -Marcus-, Song Yu, and Rifdi for now. There might be more administrators or authors later on in the future, if there is a need for it. Anyway so just come in and tag and leave your comments.
Remember to go to Mr Tan's website -the link is in the left sidebar- and do up the personal particulars form, as well as suscribe to the Google Group. Also you may suscribe to this blog as well. :D
