Honeymoon Trip, Taiwan [18.04.17-23.04.17]

What should be done after getting married except for making babies?

Of course is HONEYMOON lah!

So Mr and Mrs Ho had their honeymoon in TAIWAN 6D5N Free and Easy.

It was terrible to plan an itinerary just right after wedding. We flew for our honeymoon two days after our wedding. My brain just went sot plug.

So let me start with our Day One in Taiwan. Photos first.

We took Jetstar and had the first row in the cabin. People who know us know that we had LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG legs. Economy class for budget airlines can't fit us. LOL. We staying in AMBA Hotel XiMenDing for 5 nights. It is a boutique hotel. Enough for two persons but not more. What's worse for me, they DON'T HAVE smoking room. -_-

So our first day in Taipei, we cannot missed the famous 天天利卤肉饭. We explored the MRT stations and went to visit the 逸仙公园. It is one of the historical structure belonging to the 国父, 孙中山 Mr Sun Yat-Sen, because my wonderful husband has very big interest in the Chinese history. I followed in to look at the pictures and antiques left behind. After that, we went to see the Taipei 101. It will cost you NT600, which is around SGD$30, per person to visit the last floor to view the scenery. After that, we went to walk around and recce the places. At evening time, we went to the famous Shih-Lin Night Market, 士林夜市. Just nice the temple were having events, the place was crowded with a lot of people. As Shih-Lin is known for nice food, we tried the tepanyaki. In Singapore, the tepanyaki taste all the same because of the black pepper sauce, same goes to Shih-Lin. Their teppanyaki taste about the same because of their butter. Hahahaha. Look at the mountain of butter.

Who can tahan the butter? Hahahahahahahaha. So after Shih-Lin, we were so tired and headed back to hotel to plan for day two and rest.

Day 2.

We were stupid enough to book a uber car whole day to bring us to this scenery places. DON'T do that. They may be cheaper than normal tour bus, but please book a tour bus instead because the driver can describe the history of the place for you.

So the first place we went was the 象鼻岩. You see the pictures above you will understand why it is called the 象鼻岩. Its really scary when you look down, but the pictures are really nice when you are at the peak of the 岩. LOL.

It's quite steep to climb up there and you will look very unglam while climbing.

I almost tripped and fell because my husband and I were so lucky to meet the rainwaters when we reached there. Hahahahahaha. So shortly after taking these photos, we moved to the next destination.

The 阴阳海. I don't understand why it is called 阴阳海, but the people said it is because of the pollution. I don't know whether it is true anot. But the rain causing us to feel so cold, sticky and drenched like chicken. We moved off to the next place within 5 minutes.

黄金瀑布. It's quite a long waterfall because before we reached here, we can see the river along the road. A small part of it was under renovation. So we took pictures and left.

Next is the 九份. Quite disappointing because I feel that it is more suitable for elderly to do their shopping. But the weather was cooling and the scenery was nice.

Next, we went to the 猫村. It is famous for having a lot of wild and abandon cats. Some of them had been adopted by the villagers staying there. It was known as abandoned coal factories in the past. It also has nice noodle and desserts. Worth to have a try.

Next we went to 十份. They are famous for the 天灯. This store that we went to have our 天灯 has promotion. They free us a small photo to keep if we buy their 天灯. Nice leh. Typical Singaporeans love freebies. Hahahahah.

All these places takes you a whole day to explore. So our day 2 in Taiwan sort of ended here because the uber driver brought us to have nice steamboat as dinner together with his wife and children.

Day 3.

Nothing much during Day 3. We went to have spring bath and we find it worth the money and the whole experience was nice.

It is not a room. Just like a very grand toilet with spring water and two tubs. I chose the one with two tubs because one is spring water and the other one is cold water, so you won't faint after soaking for too long. It is very important to get out of the spring water tub every 10 minutes. The water is very hot, but very shiok ah!

After the spring bath, we had ramen. It was very nice! Especially the soft-boiled egg. Yummylicious. 5 stars! It suits my taste!

After that we went to see the historical building in Fort San Domingo, because my husband lovessssss history.

Honestly, I also don't know what is this place for but it is to protect the people in there during don't-know-how-many-years-ago. LOL.

We moved off to the next place very fast.

The Lovers' Bridge at the Fisherman Wharf. You should go there at night because the lighting of the bridge changes even before I can change my pose. Wahahahahahahaha. We managed to catch the biggest egg-yolk at the Lovers' Bridge. Because we went there alone, so we can only take selfies. So the pictures are either selfies or my own portrait. So sad right.

After Lovers' Bridge, my husband is not feeling very well from the springbath in the day, so we had to return to hotel to rest.

Day 4 and 5.

Not much sight seeing on Day 4 and Day 5. More of shopping and eating.

We went to the 孙中山纪念馆观. While husband was there reading the history, I just loitered around. Hahahaha. I am not a history person.

Then we went to 五分埔 to buy some clothes but unfortunately, the clothes there just don't seems to catch me.

So we went to have the minced pork rice recommended by NightOwl Cinematics (NOC).

I find it okay only. The 天天利卤肉饭 is nicer. After that we just walked around and taking photos randomly.

We saw many dogs, because my husband is a dog-lover. He loved one dog which we met in 五分埔. He was so sad when we were leaving because he can't bring the dog back. LOL.

This 阿宗面线 is real good. I'm still missing it now even though it has been almost a month back. No other 面线 can win this. There's no table for you to sit down and slowly enjoy the noodle. So I walked down the aisle and found a bubble tea shop with tables and chair. I just thick-skinnedly sat down on their table and ordered two cups of bubble tea to enjoy 阿宗面线. Really very nice, I wong you first.

And we found this egg omelette in 师大夜市. It is also nice. Can't find it anywhere in Singapore. It is just simply prata with egg omelette and some cabbage inside. But it just taste delicious.

So after all the 5 days in Taipei, we had no choice but to come back to Singapore. On our last day in Taipei, the uber driver brought his wife and children together and bring us to eat tomato steamboat. I was nice too. It's a pity that I didn't take any photos.

So before we check-in for our flight, we had our first and only photo.

Taiwanese are really nice people. They are not afraid to help strangers out. We were almost late for our check-in and the uber driver chiong all the way from Xi Men Ding to the airport for us. But I must admit, his two sons are really cranky. Made me don't wanna have son. LOL.

So that ends my honeymoon and we are going Taipei again in January 2018! So looking forward to it and my husband is very looking forward to go find his favourite dog. LOL

My itinerary for this trip is not the best, but it is not the worst. We really enjoyed the whole trip there. If there's anymore nice place which I didn't go, please recommend me. I would love to visit the places.

So I will end this post here.

=D
