Serving the Lord
Hi all,
Thru my 13 years in Grace Assembly church, my Senior Pastor David Lim has played an instrumental role in ministering to me, be it through his sermons and words of encouragement. This piece is no less encouraging, and I would love to share it with you guys. May it bring fresh perspectives and encouragement to you! God Bless :)))

I am grateful to be serving the Lord.
From the time of my conversion at the age of 8, I have thoroughly enjoyed serving the Lord. That does not mean everything has been smooth and there were no hiccups along the way. Some wishfully hope that to serve God means there will be no criticism, no feelings of failure, no feelings of inadequacy, no regrets, no pressures, and no attacks from the enemy. That has not been my experience. I could share many examples of the above.
I am grateful because ...
serving the Lord is part of the greatest venture in the universe, and I get to play a vital role in it.
serving the Lord faithfully means I have not given up on God, His call, or my role in His plan in all these years. In fact, a crown of glory awaits me!
serving the Lord continually means I have grown so much through the trials, testings, and tribulations.
serving the Lord means I have discovered that God has never left me nor forsaken me.
serving the Lord means I have been the recipient of countless blessings that I would not otherwise receive.
serving the Lord means I have had the privilege to impart my life into other lives, to enrich them and to equip them for service.
serving the Lord has been a walk of faith. In that walk I learn, grow, stumble, get up again, and see the glorious plan of God unfolding in my life.
serving the Lord means I have matured, come to know God better, to understand how to trust and exercise faith for even greater things.
serving the Lord means I know He will continue to work out all things for His good and for my benefit.
serving the Lord means I can test the truths of Scripture and find them to be true in my life and ministry.
serving the Lord means I get to explore the grace of God, the holiness of God, the wisdom of God and all its meaning for His church.
serving the Lord means I am already in the highest position — to be the servant of the King of kings and Lord of lords.
serving the Lord means I am already victorious over the enemy because greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.
Serving the Lord? Don't ever give up. It's the greatest privilege in the world!
